The store is huge, well organized, and the people are nice. Prices are good.The only downside is it's filled with distractions, new loves, and impluse buys so good luck staying on task and under budget. Oh but the parking is very bad, so good luck with that.

Nicholas Frame: I love this store but my wallet hates it.
DAISUKE OKAMOTO (OKAINA IMAGE): My most favorite art supply store in Hollywood, CA. Great selections and many suppliers from all over the world. Their service is also so great and they let me try some pens and markers. I bought their arches paper 30” x 22” and made art of my drawing and with posca and golden high flow that I tried at the store before I bought. The art turned out really good and liked working on the paper and pens. Thank you Blue Rooster!

Clayton Varno: I recently had a fraudulent charge on my debit card, the person who stole my information used the card to make a purchase of $495.00 at Blue Rooster Art Supply. I then reached out to Blue Rooster and explained my situation to them. The person who answered the phone was Tuesday, right from the beginning she was exceptionally nice and was super understanding of my situation. She called me back later that day and explained she had found the order, notified her manager, and let me know the order would be canceled. The next day I received a phone call from the manager, Nick Gallow. He also reassured me that the order would be canceled, then offered me the information that was entered for the shipping address and email. Nick and Tuesday really went above and beyond, I couldn't have been luckier, in an unlucky situation. The Blue Rooster Art Supply is an outstanding company.

Raven115: I’ve been going to this place since the mid 2000s and they have always been accommodating. They always provide assistance in finding certain products, plus adding their own personal suggestions. They are always friendly and helpful. One must ring the doorbell first, to control the amount of customers coming in since it’s a super small store. But aside from being small, they have many options and if they do not they’re willing to accommodate—always a great experience coming to this art store. It’s a comfort place for me since they have aided my high school artistic endeavors all the way into late adulthood with their supplies.

M: Great inventory if you’re staying out in LA for awhile or if you live there. For instance, amazing retro Japanese glasswares for your pens + pencils AND I saw a great selection of Sculpey clays for crafting as the name suggests. However, also a great place to restock on art supplies if you’re traveling — they will have everything from brightly hued colored pencil sets to my trusty Micron fine liners. If you are looking for graphite and more analogue tools you can just head on over next door to Shorthand. Crush & Touch is the perfect size, perfectly curated, and the extra stickers and merchandise are a must as well! Will be a returning customer for sure!
