LA.KO Boxing Club & Training Studio: what do users think?

Pavel Zagoskin: Been coming for about a year. Everyone is very chill and accommodating. Good classes, and good trainers. It's not a huge place so you start getting to know the crew there after a while which is good for consistency.

Melissa Pauley: Love coming here. Classes are great, the staff is amazing, trainers are the best at what they do. Hands down best gym in the area.

Yeah Me: Deserves more than 5 stars. I would disregard the negative reviews below because half of them are fake accounts while the other half are paid/volunteered people who are trying to discourage newer clients from joining. The prices are way better than most of the other boxing gyms in LA by a landslide

Zaven Agazarian: The first few times I came I had a really great experience. Now that I have more income I can afford this high-quality, state-of-the-art gym! I look forward to continuing my journey here!

Alankar Naik: Fun and intense workouts. All the trainers are great and know what they are doing. Definitely recommend taking a few 1 on 1 private sessions along with the regular classes.

DJ Lux (DJ LUX): Awesome energy

Jeffrey Armstrong: Great small gym to get in shape! The trainers are great and very personable. The prices are also much better than other comparable gyms. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in learning boxing/kickboxing and getting in shape!

jae kim: Highly recommended to anyone who wants to learn real boxing sparring here!Even beginners can do it. You can spar for a fee for each sparring class. This is really hard to find. I plan to continue going to the sparring class on Thursday. I'm writing this because I'd like it if a lot of Koreans come here too. This place is the best place in LA I found to learn boxing!

Timmy Kim: I’m Korean and been going here for more than half a year. Have no problem feeling part of the gym and trainers as well as members have absolutely no problem with me being Korean! And I’m not the only non hispanic member. If you want to be challenged to your maximum potential, this is the place. Old school beginning to end.

ERIK RAMIREZ: Thanks for giving this community a healthy and constructive option for our kids and young men. Thank you very, very much.

Jimmy Kerr (Diamond): I.ve never been here but i think over here in Scotland we fight the same..we love it

Ryan Jeong: Best boxing gym around. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to work out, find self confidence, relieve stress, or better yourself as a person.

Stephanie Landeros: I bring my son Daniel here his dad was also a boxing member staff are amazing and professional they make everyone feel welcome it’s so fun to watch my little toddler loves it prices are great !!

Tiger Boxing Gym: what do users think?

Bryan Rauschenberger: Tiger Boxing Gym in Los Angeles is a gem in the world of boxing. Under the expert guidance of Mr. & Mrs. Tiger, the gym offers an unparalleled boxing program that caters to both beginners and seasoned fighters. Their passion for the sport is evident in every session, and their commitment to their students is truly commendable. What sets this gym apart is the personal touch that Mr. & Mrs. Tiger bring to the table. They not only teach the technical aspects of boxing but also instill discipline, respect, and a love for the sport in their students. Their approach is holistic, ensuring that every student gets a well-rounded training experience. The facilities are top-notch, and the environment is welcoming and inclusive. Whether you're looking to get fit, learn self-defense, or hone your boxing skills, Tiger Boxing Gym is the place to be. A big shoutout to Mr. & Mrs. Tiger for running such an awesome establishment. Truly, they are the heart and soul of the gym, and their dedication is palpable in every punch, jab, and hook!Highly recommended for anyone looking to step into the world of boxing or take their skills to the next level.

champ tri: This gym is a throwback to the old school. I highly recommend. Coach tiger is knowledgeable and straight up as they come.

hypnotherapycw: Olympic Athlete Tiger is amazing helpful kind and Incredibly dedicated to all of the athletes that train at his gym. If you want to learn how to box and become exceptionnel, this is the place you want to go. Period.

sasha kile: Very nice boxing gym💪🏻

Becky Brown: If you're looking for a clean, friendly ambience, a team of fitness trainers who are knowledgeable about when to be tough on you, when to make you laugh, and how to help you work at your pace... this will be your new home away from home.

Stef T: Tiger is the BEST! The workout is intense and amazing. Tiger is the nicest man and truly creates an environment that works for everyone. More importantly, he knows his stuff. He is the real deal — no joke. This is my favorite new thing I have done since I moved to LA years ago and I am hooked! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Anklepic24: Great 1on 1 work, tiger knows his stuff

Elizabeth Wilson: I am not an athlete and rarely use gyms. But my niece suggested we try boxing together at Tiger Boxing Gym and I have never regretted it. I had no idea that boxing is such an intense, full body workout. The only trainer in this small, old school boxing gym is Tiger himself, a former Olympian and Pro-boxer. He is a unique personality and a great trainer...pushing me to go beyond what I think are my limits. I love the circuit training with the bags and the speedball and the ab workout in addition to the private one on one with Tiger inside the ring. It never gets boring. I have seen him work with 5 year olds, all the way up to a few 70 year old clients and everything in between. It is unusual that someone with his background can relate to young and old alike. The people who train here are the interesting and nice and it makes for a supportive and encouraging place for all levels. Can;t recommend training with Tiger highly enough!

Gerardo Acosta: Good for upcoming amateur fighters and those who want to compete or even those looking to learn the art of boxing. Most Coaches know the fight game and the monthly fee to use to the gym is super reasonable. Open AM and PMs for your convenience. Decent variety of weights, many bags, and 2 rings.

Joanne Delgado: Staff is welcoming, Ana is really nice and super helpful. Coach Rico and Coach Pablo are amazing... they're also great with kids!

Luz Flores: Great boxing gym, but what makes it worth while is the people here. Since the first day I started coming I felt so welcomed…they hosted a thank you dinner for the community and I came by…it was beautiful to see the love and passion that brings the gym to life. There’s professional boxers to kids training all at once. The coaches care for everyone who walks in…so grateful for this sanctuary. 🤲🏽💪🏽🥊

Rolmi Lainez: The truth is, it is a very good place to train boxing, I have my son there, and I recommend it, the trainers are very good.

Jermiah Jones: Used to go to this gym when I was really little it’s good gym they have good trainers and it’s a good community and place to put you kid in boxing

blue jerusalem: Very good

Rise Athletics LA: Best HIIT, MMA & Kickboxing Classes in Los Angeles CA: what do users think?

LUIS GARCIA JR: I started visiting Rise in December of 2022. Initially I just wanted to learn the basics of boxing, and have fun, so I took a class a week. Soon after, I discovered the amazing commitment of the coaches, the members, and specifically Taylor. Everyone works very hard, everyone is very supportive and encouraging. It’s a great atmosphere. This made me want to join the Rise family, and I became a full time member by March 2023. It was the best decision I’ve made for my lifestyle. At 45, I’ve lost approximately 30 lbs, I’ve learned the value of matching a proper nutrition regimen with consistent exercise. Im stronger and more active than I was at 35! It’s been a truly life changing experience. If you’re ready for a positive lifestyle change, don’t think twice, Rise will take you to the next level.

Ariel Gonzalez: and very much enjoyed those classes too!Additionally, the facility itself is great. The place is HUGE! There’s plenty of workout equipment/machines, punching bags, lockers and showers, and enough open space to do independent work even while classes are going on.Whether you’re new to fitness, a weekend warrior, or an active competitor/pro, Rise Athletics LA has all the tools and resources that you need to reach your health and fitness goals.

Jonny Lopez: As a member of Rise Athletics LA , I proudly support and have a strong connection with the coaches that are here to help us achieve our goals!BIG S/O to all coaches who notice each & every one of us , that’s what i appreciate most! 🤝

Rodrigo Navarro: All the equipment you need and great group classes.

Mikayla Jane Osorio: Rise Athletics is an amazing gym with an even better community! From the dedicated coaches to the supportive members, everyone fosters a welcoming environment. Not to mention the diversity of classes offered! I recently completed their 6-week challenge, and it was unlike anything I've ever done. It demanded self-discipline, but the results were undeniable—I saw progress within the first 3 weeks! This challenge has instilled healthy habits into my daily routine, and I would 100% do it again.

Christopher “seeCuenz” Cuenza: A really great gym for all fitness needs. All the combat sports are both a workout while leaning things that are applicable. They have all the gym equipment one needs for a good workout plus the community within this gym is great. It is ran by some really knowledgeable and passionate people. Love this gym

Ahlexxus White: I have to say, I did not think I would ever really be motivated to consistently work out and eat better. This journey with Rise Athletics has been nothing but positive, I just started not too long ago and when I say this is one of the best experiences i’ve ever experienced, i’m not lying. everyone has been so friendly and helpful. whenever i get upset with myself because i can’t do something everyone else can, people cheer me on, the coaches tell me i can do it and people remind me that there were some things they couldn’t even do when they first started. the coaches are so helpful and attentive. it’s amazing. it is a little pricey but, you get where you want to be. I also found a new love for cucumbers and lettuce haha.

Noe Duenas: Great staff and facility. Highly recommended especially the HIIT classes and the nutrition guidance if you do their 6 week program. Coaches explain exercises well and help scale thing down if you are not physically at the level they tend to do things, so you can still reap the benefits of the workout at a pace that's doable for yourself.

Robert Gomez: as well as some CrossFit classes mixed in when I have the energy. Very chill atmosphere & Coaching is very hands on; detailed. Don’t know where I’d be without Rise Athletics, Great spot!

Srinath VS: it's been a great experience so far and definitely a fun community.

Avani Dungarwal: .The coaches motivate you to push through your limits. Shout out to Tyra, Taylor & Alex! 👑This is me right after a morning HIIT class, ready to slay the rest of the day feeling confident, and oh, so strong!💕💪🏼✨

Jessica Harper: . They’re constantly pushing & encouraging me in class to do more than I thought I was capable of. If you’re in the DTLA area, I would recommend this gym over any other

Rob Luecke: This is a gym for all levels: from beginning to professional. I have trained at lots of gyms and Rise has informative coaches, great people who attend, and is a very accommodating gym. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here when I lived in DTLA and I highly recommend to sign up.

Albert Ponce: i don’t know we’re i would be without this gym. I come here almost everyday and love taking the jiu jujitsu classes and Boxing classes. The people here are like family to me and I’m here to stay.

Richard Morales: I’ve been coming here for 3 weeks already and the community are great everyone is awesome and helpful specially the coaches are awesome and they know what they’re doing and I’m definitely staying for the long run thank you rise for you support and the coaches helping me out with my work out and getting healthy, I recommend this place to anyone that want to make a Change of their health 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Kevin Huang: Everyone is very freindly at this gym. The classes are challenging and fun. It wasn't too intimidating to get into them as a beginner. Classes fill up quickly, but would highly recommend for people who have some flexibility in time.

Cynthia Robles: I recently joined prevail boxing but I love how energetic the trainers are and how intense the classes are. Everyone there is so nice and you can feel the sense of community.

Rosetta Hudson: I love prevail boxing! The best workout class I’ve been too. All of the coaches and staff members are so helpful and enthusiastic, creating a great environment for pushing yourself and getting in a good sweat! Would recommend to anyone, whether it’s your first time boxing or if you’re more experienced. 10/10

JP Shelton: The instructors were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I walked in.The gym setup, with its 5 stations, offered a diverse and engaging workout. 2 of these stations featured heavy bags, allowing for a great mix of cardio and strength training. The pricing structure is quite reasonable - I used my class pass credits to attend plus A $15 participation fee is fair for the quality of the workout you receive. Additionally, the option to rent gloves for just $5 and purchase wraps for $10 provides convenience for those who may not have their own equipment.

Dylan Dameron: Such a huge fan of this gym! All the coaches are welcoming and really help you bring it to the next level

Amazing workout and technique, and the instructors are all awesome. Gym is also clean and staff are friendly! The Thai Boxing Institute: what do users think?

Andy Vuong: Man, I really can’t speak highly enough of this place! The coaches and community here are special. I’ve been training for about 7 years now, started with TBI and felt like it was the only place I needed to be. Whatever your goals might be, whether it’s to compete, be healthier or just learn about Muay Thai culture and the art of striking, this is the gym to be at. Patient, knowledgeable, organized, clean and competitive if/when you want it to be. It’s for all levels and worthwhile without a doubt.

Franco: This gym has a great sense of community. It has been a safe and friendly environment for me to train in for the last 2 years. The coaches are friendly, knowledgeable and very giving of their time. I’d just as quickly recommend TBI to experienced Muay Thai practitioners as I would to beginners who have an interest in trying it for the first time. Great West LA location, cool space and lots of fun. I highly recommend it!

William Robertson: Been going here for years. It’s the best. Coach Vic runs a tight ship here. It’s friendly and welcoming and also top level instruction. Everyone on the coaching staff is amazing and it draws a great crowd as a result. My kids love the kids classes as well. Been to a bunch of martial arts gyms and this is a top notch place on all levels.

Daniela Bernauer: I’ve started going to TBI almost 2 years ago and never left! Found it on a google search and had no idea how to muay thai - didnt even know what was a jab!
Since the beggining I felt the environment was safe, everyone was welcoming and helpful respecting my level and goals. All coaches are excellent and technical, its noticible all the hard work coach Vic puts into making the staff and the space always evolving. As a women, I need to highlight coach Jennie and coach Erin. Its not any place that you get to learn from international level women athletes and have a women’s class.Last but not least, they really do listen to what members have to say and make sucessful efforts to create a nice gym community that I’m happy to be a part of!

TShen815: The best muay thai gym in LA filled with wonderful and attentive coaches and members. Whether your goal is to learn muay thai, work out, compete, or just improve your general fitness, you will be able to find something that fits your needs. The community around this gym is amazing as well. Never been to a gym more welcoming and filled with great vibes!

Jason Kuang: Training here has done wonders for my physical and mental health. Thank you TBI!How I got started:I had pretty much zero martial arts experience prior. After reading the positive reviews on google maps and checking out the helpful content on the website, I dropped in for a trial class. They provided hand wraps, gloves, and all the other necessary equipment.Attending class:After my trial, I signed up for a membership and monthly plan. Class consisted of jump rope, stretch, and learning techniques with partners using gloves and shin pads. The coaches provide high quality lessons in a respectful, fun manner. The environment is safe, respectful, fun, and engaging. The other gym members are also friendly, respectful, and helpful. Kind of the perfect place to learn.I highly recommend trying it out. You don’t need to be in good shape to start.

Morris Zieve: For physical preparation and to learn more about Muay Thai, I made the decision to check out this gym, and I'm glad I did. Every coach is incredibly friendly and inviting. While still instructing you in proper techniques and form, they make the sport enjoyable and entertaining. I constantly look forward to the next lesson and enjoy every minute I spend in the gym. It feels like a big family here at the Thai Boxing Institute, and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Kristopher Conner: Been training muay thai for almost 10 years. My first gym closed during the pandemic and the last year I have been training at TBI with coach Vic and his team and I have been extremely happy. Everyone at the gym is courteous, helpful, and friendly. The new facilities have lots of space and are clean and organized. The students range from seasoned professionals to beginners and there are classes to accommodate all levels of experience. If you are looking for a place to train on the west side, this is it!

Michael Ewing: Absolutely love this place. I joined earlier this year with zero prior experience and have had an awesome time. All of the coaches are so welcoming, patient and kind. The classes are a great workout, you learn a ton, and most importantly they’re fun. My only regret is that I didn’t join sooner!

Danny Ddaanos: This is a Muay Thai gym that attracts experienced and neophyte devotees. This is the gym that could. They have trained quite a few people to enter competitions both local and abroad and win!!! Even if you just want a workout, the attention to detail and technique as well as your progress is a priority. THIS IS NOT A McDOJO. Very nice group of people too. Respectful and friendly. The students all seem to have a very good mindset. The little kids seem to enjoy it a lot too.UPDATE The Thai Boxing Institute recently moved to a larger nicer space, on 3831 Grandview Blvd.

James Zurdes: really great training

Joseph Hassett: Coach Vic and his team are all incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Whether you’ve trained 5 days or 5 years, the coaches at TBI will help get the best out of your technique and conditioning. Definitely my go-to spot for training Muay Thai when I’m in LA.

Lena H D: My daughter has been training here for about a year. Excellent instruction in a truly inclusive environment.

Erin Clayton: I trained here for about 2 years with Vik and it made me fall in love with Muay Thai. The coaching and the community is great; I don't even live in LA anymore and I will drive 2 hrs to come train here when I can. It is a home away from home.** update as of May 2022 **I now come here for 6 or so weeks for my fight camps to train with Vik and the team at TBI. I couldn’t get to the level of competition I am at without their guidance and help. It isn’t only an environment for fighters, it is for everyone and everyone is friendly no matter their skill level.

Elly Mcilwraith: .TBI is safe, welcoming and perfect for those who are serious about learning Muay Thai.

Cosmo Campbell: Joined the gym a few months ago, it has been great! All the coaches are highly skilled and helpful. Great atmosphere, all the other members are so nice and welcoming. Vamos TBI!
