I researched many butcheries and pasture raised meat/poultry sources when I first moved to LA and when I initially visited Standing’s, the owner happened to be there and was very knowledgeable and conscious about where he sources everything. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, and always willing and happy to answer any questions I have. As a former vegetarian and someone who cares deeply about animal welfare, ethical treatment of animals and sustainable/regenerative practices, I feel good about supporting a local business that values all those things. And their hot dogs are BOMB.

From imported goods to locally sourced farms, they have just about everything. Their produce has me skipping any grocery stores. 8146833739 834649: The best meats and freshest seafood I have EVER tasted. The filet mignon, the dry aged steaks, the tuna, and the salmon were amazing!!! They also have the best freshly made sandwiches. If you're not there early, they're sold out. I got their fresh pasta and freshly made pesto, and it was awesome. They recently added a frozen section filled with napoleon pizza, chicken parm, and meatballs. Highly trained butchers and staff. Every time I go in, I'm beyond impressed!!

Why because anything I got from this store is excellent. it’s my third time that I can see that something has changed. The country loaf, we used to buy, was completely different not in a good way. The sausages has dry ends and e everything used to be covered by plastic not anymore. The worse is flys, thy are on a food. the last thing I want to do is to put down my favorite store. It’s just sad. People are paying 3 digit numbers for the small bag of produce just because it’s the best. I know it’s not the same owner and all the familiar faces who used to work are no longer there. Please keep it as good as it’s used to be.

This place is under new management and the new owner is very friendly and helped me choose the best cuts.

Paul You: This is the best quality meat you can buy. They have their own private supplier and these meats have such a perfect blend of fat and leanness. I’ve never seen anything like it in stores. You have to pay a little more, but I think it’s worth it for a special group dinner every once in a while.
