Stephanie Wing: We just moved about an hour from L.A. and could not wait to find this iconic and very famous deli. WOW, it did NOT disappoint. Old fashioned and quirky, including that amazing ceiling, it kept its integrity. I ordered the rare roast beef on sourdough with russian dressing and potato salad. OMG the potato salad, I could NOT eat it fast enough. Every bite was so mouthwatering, I just had to order more to take home. Then I started on my roast beef sandwich, it just MELTED in my mouth, so very, very flavorful, and do not get me started on that creamy, and tasty russian dressing, it was the best dressing I have ever had. My husband got the cheeseburger and fries, and of course I had to try his fries. Another huge home run. Crispy and crunchy on the outside, and creamy and smooth on the inside, hugely enhanced by dipping them into that unforgetable russian dressing, be still my heart. I cannot say enough good things about this perfect deli. I cannot WAIT to go back, and I will stock up on that dressing and potato salad for sure. OH, we LOVED our server, Greg, he was over the top nice to us and offered good advice for ordering. Perfection....pure perfection.

Alexis Evanoff: I had a wonderful experience here. It was a cold day and I needed a coffee to warm my hands and I felt like exploring a little so I came here to avoid the beaten path. This little family owned and family run establishment treated me with hospitality like I was coming into their home. I not only procured an expertly made cappuccino, but also took home with me some prepared food that was absolutely delicious, and definitely homemade. I enjoyed meeting everyone who was there and Konstantine, the owner, even kindly gave me a chocolate truffle to enjoy with my cappuccino as gift. I will definitely be back. I couldn’t have asked for a better reward for trying a new place.

C M: Been here in LA for years and never knew about this place till today. It’s an amazing little market with a deli and carries pretty much everything from beer, to lotto, cigarettes, hot and prepared food, wine and other little items you may not find at your local liquor store. The people working there are helpful, friendly and nice. It’s a little spot on Vermont that is a little hidden gem and you would not know it from the outside but it’s a nice little deli tucked away in a very busy corner. Have not tried the deli yet so I will definitely add a few more sentences once I do. But yeah great little spot.

Yuuko Ichihara: It has recently changed ownership from an old couple to a younger couple? Of Koreans. They are very friendly. They recognize their patrons. Their store seems bigger, brighter, cleaner and more organized. I recommend the mango and passion fruit bobba drinks. One time their money order machine was down, but it worked fine all the other times I tried to get one. It is right next to the vermont cleaners and they're open later now.

good times: Lox and bagels were very good, I’m not fond of rye bread so they put it on bun. The pastrami was all right. I prefer Tom’s burgers pastrami that’s fried and on a French roll. I won’t discount that I am not a pastrami connoisseur so this is just from a layman‘s perspective.The atmosphere was very pleasant. I enjoyed sitting at the bar. I did have to go buy a beer somewhere else because they don’t serve alcohol.

Took me a while to find a parking spot in DTLA, not surprised, and finally find this Armenian deli shop located in a small alley in St. Vincent Court. I am super excited!!Walking in the shop, I am truly amazed by how clean and nicely organized of its set-up. There are different kinds of fresh bread, choices of cheese, deli meat and sides that you can build your own sandwiches OR you can go straight from the prepared sandwiches on the menu. All staffs are very friendly and helpful, I am given enough time to ask questions and explore all the goodies.I ordered two hot sandwiches: Chicken Club and Pastrami. Their sandwiches are made to order with fresh ingredients such as tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, provolone cheese and other sandwich dressings. Hot sandwiches are toasted in an oven for around 30-45 seconds with cheese. Before I took the first bite, the cross section view of these sandwiches have already won my heart and every bite is full of different textures and layers of flavors!! The only thing to mention will be the chicken, it's a little dry to my standard and I hope it could be more moist and tender next time.As mentioned earlier, the parking can be a challenge if you are not from local. You can also park in nearby lot with minimal fee and walk here for pick-up. There are about 5-6 indoor seating and 6-7 outdoor seating for small gatherings. Garo's Deli is not only a sandwich shop but also a small market where you can buy varieties of sauces and cheese which is very convenient.This amazing shop is firstly opened in late 2020 during the pandemic. Thank you Garo for serving great quality food and excellent customer service.

The chicken had a more subtle flavor but you could really taste the quality of the chicken they use and they did not skimp on the meat. These sandwiches will definitely fill you up! An Armenian owned business with lots of history and charm.Garo's has a pretty solid falafel plate that I'm a fan of as well as new menu item Foul by Bowl that sells out daily.Garo's Deli has outdoor and indoor seating as well as delicious prepackaged eats and sips for purchase such as nuts, pickled veggies, canned goods, savory snacks, desserts and bottle beverages of all types.Taking a turn down this slice of life is a must! Amazing service from start to finish. They do have rushes of customers, but provide you with quality and quality that keeps you coming back.

Sam Dillard: Just about everything here is made from scratch on site. The bread and pastries, the pasta, and the gelato!Place is like a tiny market and a little Rome restaurant combined. The sandwiches are amazing because the bread and the Italian meats are so good. Anything with a good burrata/brie, prosciutto, and baguette is going to be a winner.Good coffee too.

Carrot muffin, cookies, Mousse, etc.Staff are Friendly & helpful.Love the Decor & seating inside & outside.Parking is the ONLY little pain. Make sure you read the parking signs in residential area.Haute Mess is Great!
