It gave me the opportunity to identify and address that trauma and tools to help heal it.I stayed willingly for 5 months and what happened during that time was transformative . I’ve been to some other excellent treatment centers but they only ever treated the symptoms of my illness and never looked at the root causes.I felt safe to talk freely about the shame that I’d internalized growing up gay in a straight world. There was something beautiful and healing about being in groups with other gay men, being able to share honestly and to listen to their similar experiences. I was also able talk about my addiction openly and without shame. It was truly a cathartic experience.There are some amazing staff members there who went out of their way to help me not only with life, sobriety and healing but also navigating the logistics of treatment - I am so very grateful for them.No treatment center is perfect but Breathe is a place I sincerely believes makes healing their clients as the #1 priority rather than profit. I called all over the country and at that time Breathe Life Healing Center was the only treatment center that said they would do this. It was also a huge plus that the staff and clients are all LGBTQ+—I was always able to find someone I could relate to or who had been through what I was experiencing. It also helps that La Fuente introduces you to the recovery community in Hollywood. Love is real Not fade away: about a few months after coming home. Which is why I so highly recommend some form of therapy as your transformation is slowly taking place.I felt like a million bucks when I got home, but that cloud 9 feeling slowly left as my brain continued to go through the process of degrading old neuro pathways and using new coping skills to deal with life.Rest. It's so important in my opinion to be able to rest afterwards. I felt like I wanted to run a marathon, only to realize 20 paces in that my body needs rest.Security. Again, just my opinion, but to go to Domus and then return to a life where you're surrounded by risky situations is foolish. I don't mean living in a cave, but prepare before you go. Say goodbye to the people you won't want to see. Tell them what you're doing, maybe they'll see you going for it and want to make changes for themselves. Just don't go back to tell them how clean you are, it's not worth it. It hurts to see others where we were, and can be triggering.So til next year, I wish the best to anyone considering the freedom that can come from this treatment.**This program changed my life. I felt like I was wondering thru the woods for the past 15 years, but now can finally see the road ahead with a clear head and a sincere conviction to do the right thing for myself. The staff are all amazing, every, single, one of them went above and beyond to make sure that I was well taken care of.The detox will be very rough if you don't prepare yourself to come. Titrate down as low as you can get to where you're comfortable, don't binge because it's "the last time". You have to truly want to be clean, but not just clean, clear headed and ready to stop throwing away your life to addiction.You can do it, you will be a whole person again but you MUST truly want it, or else you're throwing away $20k.I'm a new person, with a new life and I'm truly grateful for everything the center did for me. This is an ACTUAL treatment. Not some "program" that you go to and want to go back to your mess. This is a place of healing❤️

Emski M: This experience saved my life, i was struggling and had no way out until I found this rapid detox. From the first day everyone at the hospital took such good care of me and attended to my every need so I was comfortable, after the procedure I was taken to the domus house retreat, the first 3 days weren’t easy to be honest but it got easier and easier as the days went by. The staff at the house were great very attentive and nice the food was amazing and the rooms are super comfortable. If you’re struggling and you really wanna make a difference in your life this experience was well worth it you can’t put a value on your life.
Madeleine Levin: What I would like to know, is how many people have died from this treatment? Honestly.. You can’t 100% guarantee they’ll live.. You are giving an opiate addict anesthesia and putting them into a medically induced coma. So statistically speaking, they’re will be some casualties. Benzos and opiates alone can kill a person but try mixing opioids with a drug made to slow breathing to the point the patient is unconscious. Now just think about that before you go spend $20k. Is free medical detox hell? Oh definitely. Do you get five star chefs cooking you meals? Possibly… but is there a chance you will die? Never.. I’m sure this sounds amazing to all of us but you could also go through a regular medically supervised 3 day detox guaranteed to survive and coming out with $20k to spend on a 2 week trip to the Bahamas. 🤷🏼♀️

The staff are really sweet and caring, the aftercare is beautiful even though you can’t really enjoy it because you’re recovering. Still a nice touch. The doctor is knowledgeable and the nurses are lovely. I highly recommend this detox.

I'm not going to sugar coat it and say it's easy, but it is definitely easier than going through withdrawals or posibly an overdose. The first time I came I was a mess very resistant and the doctor and the staff made me so comfortable I got our opioid free. Lasted about a year then I relapsed. I might say that the experience was so easy for me that I think the fear of detoxing didn't scare me anymore. Then my second round here and I went into this thinking piece of cake. Well it wasn't as easy the second time. I felt terrible if it wasn't for a special very beautiful nurse there i would not have even been able to let them take my vitals. I wish I would have gotten her name. I said yiur pretty. If you read this maybe you might remember me because after I said that you basked me if that was the only reason I let my vitals be checked. If so I wanted to thank you so very much! To your staff anathema great people at the domo house. She was like a mind reader in the way she was able to find the places I was tense and sore. I've had massages before that felt nice, but this one felt exceptional.

I never thought I could ever get truly sober and be happy but by going here they helped me get physically well and helped me establish a foundation, a life worth living.. I’m not saying they babied me but to be honest I was a NIGHTMARE of a client and they never once gave up on me…The house was amazing the food was great and the people were awesome.Because if this place I have gained the ability to choose to do the next right thing. I highly recommend west valley to anyone looking for a way out of misery!!!

Kevin Miller: Today, I can become my best self because of the addiction treatment. I had been struggling with addiction for a long time, and I thought there was no hope for me. But when I came to this center, I realized that there were people who cared about me and wanted to help me recover.
Christopher Coulter: I can personally attest to the great work that this addiction treatment center does. They care about their patients and want to see them get well. The facility is always clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. All the staff is always wearing a facemask and taking precautions against COVID-19.
