I went to Argentina for a month in 2019 and this place takes you Buenos Aires. Opened in 1996. Got a michelin star in 2019. Family owned. The family serves you and is who still cooks the food and deserts. It shows consistency to be able to make it from Argentina to Los Angeles. I had a parrillada, empanadas, Malbec wine and chocolate dessert. Everything was excellent. Perfect for a birthday, anniversary or a perfect ocassion.

Finally tried Carlitos Gardel. Being an Argentine myself, I am happy and proud to say it exceeded all our party’s expectations. Beginning with the host, continued by our Argentine server, then the ambiance, wine selection, incredible steaks and desserts - all truly a cut above the rest. Thank you for a wonderful Saturday evening. And congratulations on a job well done.

If you are looking for a great place to eat Argentinian steak I would recommend eating at Tango Sur in Chicago! This place was overrated and overpriced. My filet mignon was dried. You have to order sides because you literally just get the steak. Our waiter was dull. He didn’t seem interested in customer service. Didn’t get offered more water. The only good thing about this place was the host and the valet guy. Other than that, don’t bother coming here. Save your money or flight out to Chitown.

We had a wonderful time with amazing food and great service in a wonderful setting. The only thing we were slightly disappointed about was there were no drink options other than wine. That said, they have an amazing wine selection!
