Alexis Payne: My fiance and I hired Bite Catering Couture for our engagement party at a local venue and they were so easy to work with! Allie was an absolute pleasure! She's super personable and friendly and you can tell she really cares about making your event special. Allie helped us curate a personal menu specific to our needs and when we needed to go back to lower our budget, she was so quick and helpful in adjusting it for us. She was even able to figure out what cuts we needed to make to keep our menu the same! Allie and the delivery driver, Rebecca, arrived early for our event to set up. My fiance and I ran into an issue with our venue not properly communicating with us of when we were able to get inside the venue and both Allie and Rebecca stayed extra time with us until the venue opened, which they definitely did not have to do, but they kept calm and positive which really helped us out! Those are the moments that leave a great lasting impression. The display was beautiful and we had an amazing engagement party! We will definitely recommend Bite, Allie and Rebecca to our friends and family!

Jessica Pancake: Our planning team, 'Cause We Can Events, had a last minute launch party for a client in February. We reached out to Crateful to see if they could help us out with a 25-day turnaround. They worked with us on a fun menu that worked well for the crowd with the best ingredients. Their team was very hands on when it came to the pre-planning of this event and were available for calls, walkthroughs, and more. On the day of the event, their team showed up on time and professional. The event was a huge success and Crateful played a big role in that.
Brandon J. LoCascio: Where to start? Emanuele catered my fabulous wedding at the Houdini Estate here in Los Angeles. He and his entire team at Crateful Catering were AMAZING! First of all, I'm an Italian American - so it was important for me to have authentic Italian food. They knocked it out of the park with a number of Italian dishes including a fabulous Cacio e Pepe. That said, we also had a mix of appetizers, a charcuterie table, sliders and even a taco bar - so it was a really well-rounded presentation that gave our guests a number of options. Emanuele personally took the time to attend our pre-event walkthrough. He was also very responsive including answering after hours calls/texts when I needed to reach him - which is great because I'm usually busy with my companies during the day. He was available to talk when I was, which if you know anything about planning a wedding, you know that it can be stressful at times if you can't reach your vendors. I never had that problem with Emanuele. At one point we even had a little issue with the venue in terms of some contractual/layout items pertaining to the catering kitchen - and Emanuele was able to personally call in some favors with the venue owner to make a few things happen for us. In all, if you're looking for a standup guy, with a great company, to provide excellent customer service and even better food - particularly if you want anything Italian - don't hesitate to go with Emanuele Ponzo and Crateful Catering. Tres Comas: The team at Crateful are amazing. Emanuele outdid himself with the delicious food and fantastic crew service at my wedding. People are still talking about how out of this world the food was. They accommodated my wife's diet and truly went above and beyond. I even got the pleasure to enjoy a private toast with Emanuele. The tastings beforehand were an experience we will never forget. If you want top of the line food, presentation, and service, you would be cheating yourself if you did not go with Crateful Catering in LA. And all of our wedding dreams came true because of Emanuele and his team. From the initial tasting with him which had the best, most professional service, and most delicious food, to the responsiveness of his emails, and his understanding what we wanted and delivered exactly that, Crateful Catering made all of our dreams come true. Every single guest at our wedding was raving about the food. Even weeks later people still talk to us about it. In addition, the staff is incredibly professional and were a pleasure to be around. They also handled our bar service. We had a vision of what we wanted for the food at our wedding and Crateful Catering gave us exactly that. Our only disappointment is that we don't have another party coming up so we can use them to cater again. We can't wait until we do!
Will Zhang: was on the 30th floor of a skyscraper but required the kitchen to be set up in a parking lot outdoors, with all food being transported via elevators. Not a problem for Crateful, as Emanuele directed his staff towards flawless execution in an extremely challenging environment. Even though we booked a different vendor for bartending, Crateful stepped in to cover some of their missteps during the event. We couldn't have asked for a better caterer to make our event so memorable.
Tala Bayat: Emanuel and his team at Crateful have been amazing to work with ever since we first came into contact with them. I cant express that enough. His roots from his motherland of Italy is obvious from the love he puts forward in his craft. He has a core that entails love of family, happiness and joy that he always expresses to everyone around him. During our tasting you can tell how much care he had for our ideas and style. He was very detail oriented and made sure everything was designed to our liking. We come from a Persian background that loves their Persian food. Everyone thought we should go with a traditional Persian caterer but from our very first email encounter with Emanuel we were excited to work with his team. He was able to accommodate our requests for our cultural and personal needs. All of our guests asked me how he was able to make such a delicious Persian Beef. All of his dishes were very delicious and presentation was perfect for our wedding. You can tell every individual dish was personally crafted towards perfection. Our venue changed last minute and he was still able to adapt to the constantly evolving situation. He even offered and helped with non-catering issues that we were dealing with during our tough time. The feedback we got from our guests was amazing. Him and his staff were very professional and welcoming to all our vendors and guests. I would absolutely love to work with Emanuele again and he would be great for any occasion. From the second you book his services he is constantly making sure that you have an amazing experience and We couldn’t be more grateful for him and his team.

I understand the time we got married was a very busy season, however, it felt like we were reaching out to them more than they reached out to us.In the end, it was all worth it. To hear people 2 months later talking about how amazing the food and appetizers were, is worth booking this caterer.

She was so kind and so sweet. I explained the ingredients of the drink and the name of the wedding party and she went above and beyond to find that drink and email me the recipe. Christopher Bryant-Stitt: The professional touch that these guys put on their catering was exceptional. Last night I went to the premier of Affion Crockett’s comedy special and it was catered by Puck. Everything was delicious. The salads were crisp and flavorful. It didn’t taste like commercially produced Sysco food that you normally eat when you are having a catered meal. The app was a little cheese plate that was excellent and I tried my best to savor it all for the duration of the show. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try the chicken because my buddy ate it all and made up the story that I said all I wanted was the cheese. She completely made that up. But the salads, popcorn, and bread didn’t disappoint. I was just fine with the sides that accompanied the chicken as my meal. I claimed everything left in the boxes as mine after the chicken incident. I’m pretty sure she swiped the desserts and ate those after the performance so I’ll add her reaction to the desserts after I subtly bring it up next time to talk to her. But overall from what I enjoyed, I was very impressed... A+

Jennifer Michels: I attended an event this weekend where heirloom LA did the catering, and I just wanted to say what an *amazing* job they did. The details of the optics..from the wooden serving boards, fresh flowers and beautiful wood. Their kind servers and hard working cooks were awesome. They had an abundance of colorful veggies and different types of protein served on thin palm-like boats. All of it was beautiful and well executed.

I was desperate to find a caterer, any caterer, and had found that the company I had dealt with for parties for the last 12 years had closed. I went online and the first company I pulled up, based on other reviews was Jennie Cook's. I sent a desperate pleading email and was soooo pleased when I heard back and found they could cater our wedding! I was praying for good food, but frankly willing to accept less just to be sure we had something and there was no time for a tasting to even see what their product was like. But from my initial contact, to the last minute of our event, everything was wonderful. They were on time, the food was amazing, and the service was professional and friendly. When they left, they left everything clean with nothing for me to do. I am so very pleased with Jennie Cook's and I would highly recommend them if you want to be sure your party is a success. Special thanks to Megan and to Gio! Everyone was great, but these two saved my sanity. Just an added benefit, they referred me to Haejung Kim for the flowers and the flowers were exactly what I wanted with only time for a few online photos of what I was looking for and a few phone calls. Our venue was a tough location to cater to, and they showed up and made sure everything was on point. Kaycie and her team went above and beyond to give us a perfect celebration. The speciality drink her bartenders put together, the wine selection, Chef's accommodations with the food choices due to being in an outdoor space. All of it! I recommend them and look forward to working with them again!

Heather Todd: , and let me say we and our guests were not disappointed!! We mainly worked with Dana, and she was just so amazing from driving to meet up with us for deposit hand offs and detail meetings, to arranging our beautiful tasting at chef Teri's house. We ended up going with tray passed apps, charcuterie board spread, buffet style catering, and even a late night snack. The food presentation was absolutely gorgeous, not your typical boring row of chafing dishes! Most importantly, the food tasted just out of this world. Trust me and the other reviewers when we say that people will be talking about how good your food was! Also- literally every vendor we booked after booking Spotted Hen made a comment that they are the best when finding out that they were booked as our caterer. If thats not a sign that they truly are amazing, I don't know what is....
Chelsea Kawata: If you want guests to come up to you saying that the food is amazing and how impressed they are, then book Spotted Hen! Your guests will literally thank you. The flavors, quality and presentation surpassed all expectations. Their team managed the flow of the meal effortlessly and were attentive - we also had tray-passed appetizers during cocktail hour which were a hit with the guests. Overall, the staff managed the catering service well and everything went smoothly so we could enjoy the wedding day without any worries. The Spotted Hen team was incredible to work with from the beginning. They were meticulous and detailed, they made sure that all specifications were accounted for and that we were aware of what rentals and materials were needed. They offered a variety of dishes, appetizers and desserts to choose from. And I have to mention the vanilla cake with berries - one of the best cakes I've had in my life. I don't have the words to do it justice. Please book them! They were amazing to work with.

Justin Joseph: My wife and I went with Spotted Hen as they were on the list of approved caterers for our venue. That was already a huge mark in their favor as our venue was very uptight, so anyone who met their approval was clearly solid, professional, and likely had a good track record. We took a chance and set up a tasting. Honestly, the tasting alone was worth the booking. We were immediately treated like family and were given amazing food, amazing wine, and had a truly wonderful time getting to know this catering team. On the actual day, we didn’t know if they could replicate the experience we had at the tasting but they truly went above and beyond. Every guest complimented us on the food, both in terms of taste and presentation. Our photographer was so enthralled by the entrees that she forgot to take photos of them. My wife and I made the decision to do most of the planning ourselves and just went with a planner on the wedding day. Spotted Hen clearly and easily communicated everything they needed to be provided by the rental agency and it was truly almost nothing. I still don’t know how they did it. The salmon was flaky and moist, the steak was hearty and flavorful, and the cake was truly divine. It really felt, more so than any other vendor that we hired, that we were on a team together and that these people were our friends. I can’t communicate how much that helps with the stress of the day. We knew we were in good hands, and were delighted when Taylor came out to check on us as the evening was winding down. I can also say, definitively, that no other vendor invited us over for cocktails AFTER the wedding! Do yourself a favor and go with Spotted Hen. Your guests will thank you.

Brandon Deilgat: Having just lost my grandmother and the matriarch of our family, the few days we had to plan the funeral and reception were hectic to say the least.I was referred by two different people to Garden of Eating and I was instantly impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism of both Chelsea and Lisa. I was given plenty of options within my budget, and they accommodated additional requests after the quoting process in a timely manner.We needed catering for 60 people in the backyard of our house, and the reception was a HIT! Everyone was comfortable and able to focus on the family, while enjoying delicious New York Strip steak and Chicken Piccata with crab cake appetizers and two kinds of salad. Potatoes and grilled vegetables complimented the meal and all the tables, cutlery and setup was of quality and looked beautiful. The two servers were very hard working and courteous.5 friends and family members asked for Garden of Eating business cards at the end of the reception, and I would recommend to any of my other friends and family members in a heart beat.We have an LA caterer for life. Andrea Mclean: Marbled LA was a true delight to work with. Particularly, we worked with Tro DerSarkissian to curate a menu for our graduation ceremony. We had about 50 guests and had more than enough food and drinks for them. This company carries a very large variety of meals that incorporates many different ethnic cuisines. As our theme was Havana Nights, we were able to easily incorporate food items that related to that theme. Delivery was done with care and was completed very swiftly. I’d highly recommend them as a caterer for any event but would particularly take advantage of their experience catering at the Violet Cactus.
