El Cid: what do users think?

DJK: Love this venue. We come here on Sundays for Hot Dog, a Silverlake gay party. I've always love indoor/outdoor bars, and both the patio space and inside areas are cool. Really cool lighting inside, it really feels like an authentic Mexican Hacienda. I like that the security here doesn't overpolice or oversantize gay events. If I had one suggestion, I'd suggest adding a third bar on the upstairs patio. But that's nitpicking. Super cool space, chill vibes.

michael cad: The door girl was visibly high and insanely rude to almost everyone I talked to. Otherwise, the staff and venue were really great. There’s an awesome patio and main room, and the bands sounded excellent. It can be a little tricky to find/park so get there early! Really cool spot👍🏻

Babak Missaghian: They have nice shows

Walt Disney Concert Hall: what do users think?

Nelu Șelaru: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes

Acold Au: Second visit to the Concert Hall in 2023. Only photos taken outsideThis time I bought a ticket for the concert directlyNo matter how you order online, there seems to be an additional 10% handling fee.I later bought a ticket on site and the front seat was only 66usd.Listening to the performance of Philharmonia Orchestra LAThe music is Pan-American New Music, no dress codeBut maybe the music is too modern, not as harmonious as the classical music, and has too much conflict. I don’t really like it.

Jason Grote: Great music venue, impressive architecture

freg: Awesome building inside and out. The signage inside could be a little better, but there were courteous ushers at every door, so finding your way around won't be very difficult. The seating is just roomy enough to be comfortable. It was a bit creaky though, and if people in the row above move, you will feel their movement. Sound was great, and views in the orchestra section were amazing. The gardens outside are a nice touch. I would love to come back soon to see another concert. Also, the store had wonderful novelties and gifts!

Juan-Lorenzo Ramirez: Great venue!!!

Akiko Ashley: The Hollywood Bowl is definitely an experience when you go to see music and the Philharmonic. I love the way the sound bounces in that live space. It is one of the better places for listening to music. It is difficult to travel to with traffic and parking is expensive. I have taken a bus that takes you back and forth but that is not fun either if it get stuck in traffic. The venue is awesome and there isn't a bad seat in the space, and there is plenty of places for food and drink...though being in the back of the seating means you may not see much. I love going but only for a couple of times a year because of the traffic.

Check online for size restrictions for bags/coolers. Bathrooms are clean and plenty. I wasn't able to find a place to refill water bottles. Hollywood Chauffeured Cars: The new season has just begun, and I highly recommend using public transportation or alternate means to get here, as parking and traffic can be a significant issue.

Classical Guitar Lessons with James Hunley live and online !: what do users think?

Akegi Dean: Brilliant teaching, and so kind!Really just cares about your success in playing and your enjoyment of the instrument.

Michael Gullo: An amazing guitar teacher and a great person! Has helped me with not only becoming a better performer but also a better human being.

Qinchao Wang: Best classical guitar teacher you could ever found!!

Jay B.: I am so fortunate to have found James. His love for the music and his generosity to his students is apparent in everything that he does. And he has devoted his life to it. I’ve been taking lesson from him for six months now and could not have imagined I would have progressed as far as I have if it were not for James. His enthusiasm is infectious. His knowledge of music, technique and styles is limitless. I play piano and steel string guitar, but Classical Guitar is a whole other world and more difficult to learn than the either of those instruments. If I’m struggling with a particularly difficult section of a piece, James will find an exercise or method in which to address the problem. He goes that extra mile in all cases. And, most importantly, he is a kind and generous human being.

Martin De Boer: James is absolutely at the top of his field when it comes to classical guitar. He came highly recommended by a dear friend of mine and the lessons have been really helping me push my music to the next level. Amazing teacher, that not only has a great understanding of the subtle techniques, but also really understands how to play music with emotion and feeling - something most teachers lack. Besides that, James is also just an awesome and kind human being. Makes it even more fun. I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to learn guitar or push themselves to get to pro-level.

Yi Qi: He is also very patient and will customize the course based on the students’ needs/wishes. Thank you james! 🎶

Jason Greenman: I started taking classical guitar from James in 2019, and I'm so glad I found him. I'm definitely on the later end of things as far as learning to play an instrument, but James is one of the most patient and encouraging instructors you could possibly hope for, helpful for someone like me who doesn't feel innately musical. His style of instruction is challenging, and he keeps you striving to achieve more because he is so talented himself and so incredibly passionate about the instrument and its performance. James has also created an incredible community of students in his studio -- with a wide variety of skill levels and experience -- that support each other. I still have a long way to go, but I feel honored to be his student and to be part of that community. James has also done a great job in providing virtual lessons during the pandemic with a very professional setup. I've found the videos recorded during our online sessions to be particularly useful when I practice during the week.

Gabe Gould: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBest guitar teacher I’ve ever had!!! A true master with a heart of gold.

susan rashkin: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueJames is not only the best guitar teacher he is also a shining light amongst giants. My playing just does not improve but my whole outlook on life improves as well. He understands that lifting one lifts many. Thank you for being my teacher and friend and for doing all you do for humanity.

Don Kellin: Fifty years ago I was at a crossroads in my life; continue studying with Alberto and Rolando Valdez Blain, who were Andre Segovia's close associates and become a classical guitarist or develop a career in business. Alas, unexpected financial problems dictated my path, and I put away my three guitars and eventually sold them. Eight years ago, my wife convinced me to start playing again knowing that I'd have to deal with the frustration of starting over as a beginner..Thank goodness recommendations lead me to James whose entire life has been devoted to the instrument and the intense desire to teach both new students and those who know how to play but want to play better.James has dealt with it all over a lifetime of teaching, but to recharge and retrain a man in his seventies and make it a joy-filled experience for both of us is what James is. He exudes harmony and professionalism, and for a couple of hours a week grounds me in what is and isn't important while we both seek my chops. He has sweetened the final chapter of my life, and I owe him so much. Thank you James,

Jose Roberto Flores Aleman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueHe is simply the best.

Joshua Argueta: : you! If you’re looking for one of the best guitar teachers in Los Angeles, look no further. James is the true embodiment of a pedagogue, and he’ll make you appreciate the wonders that a great teacher can work.

Yangyao Ding (Roy 丁洋尧): , and no other teacher can keep my interest in the instrument as James. Plus, his guitar studio is a true community and you get to meet, work and have fun with all those other amazing people. Because of him, I got to meet Xuefei Yang and Ana Vidovic in person

Lawrence Grennan: James is the seventh and by far the best guitar teacher I've ever had the pleasure of learning from. His knowledge of repertoire and technique is truly encyclopedic, and his enthusiasm for the subject matter is contagious. But he's not only a great teacher, he's also a great cheer leader for all his students. James Hunley is a real find!

router991: James is a very talented and gifted teacher of classical guitar. I have been studying classical guitar with him for over two years and am very happy to be his student. I started with zero experience in classical guitar and two years later can play pieces like Romanza and other study pieces. I had a lot issues with the right hand technique and was able to correct it with James guidance. Under James, I continue to make steady progress with right hand techniques, left hand techniques, slurs, hammers and even my strumming. The day isn't far off when I am confident that I will play pieces with tremolos too. I strongly recommend studying Classical Guitar with James.

Stephen Reed: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value

dina montes: Positive:ProfessionalismWith James Hunley you are immediately impressed by his professionalism. His answers in his classes really show that he is a very knowledgeable person of the guitar, James's lessons are characterized by their great didactic and practical content and his great passion does not hesitate to start implementing what has been practiced

Kevin Robert: An amazing guitar community, his advanced students have the opportunity to participate in scholarships, fundraisers, gatherings and encouragement all around thank you Mr Hunley for your kindness and generosity, I added a photo of Xuei Fei Yang, at the Hunley studio master class before the concert at the Marina Del Rey Yacht Club, thank you Mr. Paine for providing such an awesome experience for the studio. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

Bob Baker Marionette Theater: what do users think?

Nicole Nguyen: such a unique and creative experience! my friends and i quite enjoyed the hooray show, the puppeteers, puppets, music and set design- absolutely brilliant!

S M: A pinnacle of human expression. Absolutely beautiful. The organist, the pupeteers, the theater itself - its all perfect. I'm so grateful to have been able to share this experience with my six year old. We sat stage right on the floor, although there isn't a bad seat in the house. Thank you to the performers and everyone else who helps make everything happen. We won't forget it.

NotGonna Say: Utterly charming

Janelle Lewis: Such a nice place to bring the whole family! Delicious sweet treats, wholesome entertainment. My kids are already begging to plan a return trip! One of the best family activities in all of Los Angeles for sure!

JoAnn Genette: It's been inspiring people and delighting audiences for decades. This is one of those entertainment destinations you simply shouldn't miss. The theater itself is beautiful but the show is so great, you won't want it to end. Great staff too!

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion: what do users think?

Joe Bratcher: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre ... Still one of the premiere dance companies. I first saw them in 1967 ... They were brilliant then, they are brilliant now.

Anthony S: We visited in mid February 2024 and it was an awesome experience. We've decided for 2024 onward, to start experiencing more classy and upscale events. This fits the bill.I've passed the Music Center hundreds of times and always appreciated what I've seen. People, well dressed, experiencing live music or performances. I've always enjoyed live theatre and now I can say that I will be a part of it from here on out. FYI, this whole complex comprises four large venues including the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Ahmanson Theatre and the Mark taper Forum. All of these facilities are within this giant complex. whatever your forte, you can generally find some type of entertainment to strike your fancy. My wife and I dressed up and headed down to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on a Saturday. We saw The Rite of Spring and Common Ground. It was every bit as good, if not better than reviews that we read online. I think it's fair to say that live theatre is generally good, but this performance along with the classical music made for an unforgettable experience. Although I don't believe it was the case, the music sounded just like a live orchestra. Perfect sound to go along with the performances. Even before we left, we decided that we would be regulars at various events held at the Music Center. This is a classy event so we dressed the part and so did others in attendance. As such, you can expect for a well mannered crowd and it certainly was. I can't say this enough. This is a cultured event so be prepared for a memorable performance that will make a lasting impression. This event certainly did. At such a cultured event, one would expect the employees to be top notch and that's exactly what we experienced. Employees were positive, courteous and well mannered. A huge shout out to those hard working employees interacting with thousands of people. If you have an appreciation for Mid-Century Modern, you will appreciate the pavilion and it's architecture even more. This is coming from someone who appreciates all things Mid-Century Modern. The building and interior appointments are awesome. If you like such buildings, you will not be disappointed. This is a grand and historical building which further adds to the overall experience. An early 1960's Mid-Century Modern building and an awesome performance equals one awesome experience. If you are into live theatre or cultural events, make plans to visit the Music Center. There's a ton of events at this mega complex. For those new to the area, the Music Center parking is just north of the complex on the west side of the street, below ground. Be prepared for a line of cars as they make their way into the parking below street level. Be patient and be assured that the line moves quickly.  experience. This is a solid 5 star and highly, HIGHLY recommended.

龔振勝: All I can say is we are very blessed to have a place like this that can offer arts events at affordable prices for everybody to enjoy!

Tonantzi Chamorro: It is a very spacious theater

Shanelle S: Beautiful venue for operas and operas. The supertitles were clear and the place was very clean. Even though we were seated very high up for our matinee of the Barber of Seville, we had a good view of the stage. My specific seat was a bit obscured by the railing but that made my ticket cheaper, so I was cool with it. Parking is $10 all day on weekends and in the evenings in the garage, or you can try to find metered spots. Theres a courtyard with tables outside of the venue so you can have a little picnic or opt to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants. Ushers are nice. Bathrooms are available only on stage right at the top floor. There were elevator banks but most people took the stairs. You can preorder food and drinks for intermission. Seats were a bit narrow but still comfortable.

Cindy Woods: Saw The Barber of Seville. It was wonderful. LA Opera is always great.

Michael Stemmeler: , parking in the garage underneath the Music Center is a $10 flat rate on performance nights.
