Classical Guitar Lessons with James Hunley live in FL and online !: what do users think?

Akegi Dean: Brilliant teaching, and so kind!Really just cares about your success in playing and your enjoyment of the instrument.

Michael Gullo: An amazing guitar teacher and a great person! Has helped me with not only becoming a better performer but also a better human being.

Qinchao Wang: Best classical guitar teacher you could ever found!!

Jay B.: I am so fortunate to have found James. His love for the music and his generosity to his students is apparent in everything that he does. And he has devoted his life to it. I’ve been taking lesson from him for six months now and could not have imagined I would have progressed as far as I have if it were not for James. His enthusiasm is infectious. His knowledge of music, technique and styles is limitless. I play piano and steel string guitar, but Classical Guitar is a whole other world and more difficult to learn than the either of those instruments. If I’m struggling with a particularly difficult section of a piece, James will find an exercise or method in which to address the problem. He goes that extra mile in all cases. And, most importantly, he is a kind and generous human being.

Martin De Boer: James is absolutely at the top of his field when it comes to classical guitar. He came highly recommended by a dear friend of mine and the lessons have been really helping me push my music to the next level. Amazing teacher, that not only has a great understanding of the subtle techniques, but also really understands how to play music with emotion and feeling - something most teachers lack. Besides that, James is also just an awesome and kind human being. Makes it even more fun. I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to learn guitar or push themselves to get to pro-level.

Yi Qi: He is also very patient and will customize the course based on the students’ needs/wishes. Thank you james! 🎶

Jason Greenman: I started taking classical guitar from James in 2019, and I'm so glad I found him. I'm definitely on the later end of things as far as learning to play an instrument, but James is one of the most patient and encouraging instructors you could possibly hope for, helpful for someone like me who doesn't feel innately musical. His style of instruction is challenging, and he keeps you striving to achieve more because he is so talented himself and so incredibly passionate about the instrument and its performance. James has also created an incredible community of students in his studio -- with a wide variety of skill levels and experience -- that support each other. I still have a long way to go, but I feel honored to be his student and to be part of that community. James has also done a great job in providing virtual lessons during the pandemic with a very professional setup. I've found the videos recorded during our online sessions to be particularly useful when I practice during the week.

Gabe Gould: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBest guitar teacher I’ve ever had!!! A true master with a heart of gold.

susan rashkin: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueJames is not only the best guitar teacher he is also a shining light amongst giants. My playing just does not improve but my whole outlook on life improves as well. He understands that lifting one lifts many. Thank you for being my teacher and friend and for doing all you do for humanity.

Don Kellin: Fifty years ago I was at a crossroads in my life; continue studying with Alberto and Rolando Valdez Blain, who were Andre Segovia's close associates and become a classical guitarist or develop a career in business. Alas, unexpected financial problems dictated my path, and I put away my three guitars and eventually sold them. Eight years ago, my wife convinced me to start playing again knowing that I'd have to deal with the frustration of starting over as a beginner..Thank goodness recommendations lead me to James whose entire life has been devoted to the instrument and the intense desire to teach both new students and those who know how to play but want to play better.James has dealt with it all over a lifetime of teaching, but to recharge and retrain a man in his seventies and make it a joy-filled experience for both of us is what James is. He exudes harmony and professionalism, and for a couple of hours a week grounds me in what is and isn't important while we both seek my chops. He has sweetened the final chapter of my life, and I owe him so much. Thank you James,

Jose Roberto Flores Aleman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueHe is simply the best.

Joshua Argueta: : you! If you’re looking for one of the best guitar teachers in Los Angeles, look no further. James is the true embodiment of a pedagogue, and he’ll make you appreciate the wonders that a great teacher can work.

Yangyao Ding (Roy 丁洋尧): , and no other teacher can keep my interest in the instrument as James. Plus, his guitar studio is a true community and you get to meet, work and have fun with all those other amazing people. Because of him, I got to meet Xuefei Yang and Ana Vidovic in person

Lawrence Grennan: James is the seventh and by far the best guitar teacher I've ever had the pleasure of learning from. His knowledge of repertoire and technique is truly encyclopedic, and his enthusiasm for the subject matter is contagious. But he's not only a great teacher, he's also a great cheer leader for all his students. James Hunley is a real find!

router991: James is a very talented and gifted teacher of classical guitar. I have been studying classical guitar with him for over two years and am very happy to be his student. I started with zero experience in classical guitar and two years later can play pieces like Romanza and other study pieces. I had a lot issues with the right hand technique and was able to correct it with James guidance. Under James, I continue to make steady progress with right hand techniques, left hand techniques, slurs, hammers and even my strumming. The day isn't far off when I am confident that I will play pieces with tremolos too. I strongly recommend studying Classical Guitar with James.

Stephen Reed: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value

dina montes: Positive:ProfessionalismWith James Hunley you are immediately impressed by his professionalism. His answers in his classes really show that he is a very knowledgeable person of the guitar, James's lessons are characterized by their great didactic and practical content and his great passion does not hesitate to start implementing what has been practiced

Kevin Robert: An amazing guitar community, his advanced students have the opportunity to participate in scholarships, fundraisers, gatherings and encouragement all around thank you Mr Hunley for your kindness and generosity, I added a photo of Xuei Fei Yang, at the Hunley studio master class before the concert at the Marina Del Rey Yacht Club, thank you Mr. Paine for providing such an awesome experience for the studio. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

Travis Raab Guitar Lessons: what do users think?

Mason Iracleanos: Travis and I met at a rehearsal studio where he runs student jam sessions with music students. We struck up a conversation and Travis invited me to join. I have been attending his jams ever since, and have been learning a lot from Travis, not just about drums, but music in general! I rate Travis 5 stars, and two thumbs up, and I get pumped up for the jams each week.

Owen Reilly: Great teacher and music mentor! Highly recommend.

Kevin: Trav is absolutely the best guitarist / teacher I have ever met. As a teacher he has a great way of breaking things down and making them simple and understandable and he’s helped my playing a ton. He also played on a studio album of mine and was an incredible session guitarist. Can’t recommend enough!

Barrow Davis: Travis is an exceptional teacher. My son took an intense summer course in jazz guitar to prepare for the LACHSA jazz department he was starting in the fall. Travis taught him everything he needed to know to improvise in jazz. Travis cuts to the important work in his lessons. He made him a better guitar player and he will always be a teacher we turn to for advancement.

David Berger: Learned more from Travis in one session than I had in months of playing/learning songs on YouTube!

Danielle Ferrier: Travis Raab is the best Guitar teacher in the world! I know this for a fact because I am complete beginner at guitar, and from just a few weeks of lessons with Travis, I am playing actual songs on the guitar. I pretty much thought I was tone-deaf and without any sense of rhythm, but I always wanted to learn guitar and decided to give it one more shot. Turns out that my problem was that learning from YouTube really didn't work for me. I needed feedback from an actual teacher and Travis even gives me a weekly practice schedule. If he could help someone like me then he can help you. I love taking guitar lessons with Travis and I highly highly recommend him!

Michael Flanders: After doing some research and taking a few lessons from different people, I was definitely convinced that Travis was the best teacher for me. However, I was still a bit hesitant about committing to virtual lessons over in-person lessons. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for me to realize that Travis has the rare ability to communicate in a way that makes it always feel as though you’re in the same room.I can confidently say that his “virtual lessons” are every bit as effective as in-person lessons would be. And not only that, they are also incredibly convenient and time-saving. Travis has set up a system that makes connecting with him an absolute breeze and scheduling lessons through his website is a simple and quick process.Travis is a great communicator and has a knack for explaining things in ways that even a beginner like myself can understand. On top of everything else, Travis is also just a really good guy and he truly cares about his students.

900kevt: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI've been so pleased with my guitar lessons with Travis. All I can say is that Travis is helping me understand the guitar simply and easily which is what I've been searching for for to many years. Thanks again Travis see you next week.

David Marsten: Positive:ProfessionalismTravis is an awesome teacher. He has a method that cuts through the tedium and gets right to the fun of learning jazz chords and songs from the great American songbook.

Jesse Dunlap: I learn so much each week with Travis! He is a true professional. Travis responds quickly and makes it very easy for you to book a class on his website. My favorite part of Travis is that he can intuitively change direction or bring in new techniques based on my personal interests and skills. His classes feel personal, fun, and even therapeutic!I had to carefully consider whether I could afford guitar lessons, and I am glad I made this decision. I think you will be too!

Guitar Lessons By Drew: what do users think?

Meredith Chin: Drew was one of the most patient and motivating teachers I've ever had. I was a musician when I was younger and wanted to pick up the guitar as an adult. Drew helped me rekindle a love for playing and gave me the skills and confidence to make progress every single day. I cannot recommend Drew enough!

JC Oliva: I started taking lessons with Drew a few months ago, after years of being self taught. He's made it a productive and worthwhile learning experience. Drew is not only super knowledgeable about guitar technique and music theory, but also easy going, patient and encouraging. From the very first lesson he immediately put me at ease. Drew explains everything clearly and always makes sure my questions get answered and doubts get addressed. I wholeheartedly recommend him whether you're a beginner or an experienced guitarist.

Laura M: after unsuccessfully teaching myself guitar for a year. I came in with some very basic knowledge and Drew was great at meeting me where I left off. I've never felt like any concepts were too difficult after his explanations. He teaches you via songs you want to learn to play and picks out concepts from those songs that are appropriate for your skill level, which has been great in keeping up my motivation. Super chill experience and will help you see progress!

Stephy R: There is a reason why Drew has a 5 stars rating among his students and that is because he is an amazing guitar instructor. Not everybody who can play can teach, but Drew definitely can do both. He has plenty of exercises for you to build those foundations you need, while also having fun learning to play the songs you love, and he is very kind, humble and patient.Being a complete beginner at guitar, my first thought was that I really needed to get in person classes. So, I did a month at a different place before I decided to give Drew's lessons a try. Drew has a way of explaining things which makes everything easy to understand. I had learned way more with Drew on my first online class than I did in that previous month with the in person guitar instructor. I have been taking lessons with Drew for about 6 months now and I'm really happy I switched for his lessons.

Abhishek Rao Bollapragada: I came to Drew with some scattered guitar knowledge and he really helped me connect the dots and bring my playing to an intermediate level! He was extremely patient and has a great approach to teaching. In my first few lessons with Drew I already started noticing progress and a change in the way I think about playing guitar. He teaches you the foundations of music theory through the guitar in a way that enables you to understand and explore the instrument to your full potential. He also heavily takes into account the type of music you’re interested in playing and gears his lessons towards that. No matter where you are in your musical journey Drew will help elevate your playing and love for music! Could not recommend him more!!

chantz lynn: The Guitar Instructor you're looking for. Drew is a phenomenal guitar teacher who's passion not only includes music itself but extends to his ability to each others to progress in their own music journey. Unlike many other guitar instructors that can be found online, Drew's curriculum does not include teaching, quick ephemeral lessons which don't allow for progression. Rather, is lessons aim to shape the foundation that you use to play guitar, or progress in certain areas. My own experience in music, is that I taught myself guitar at the age of 14 and never truly progressed from there. No matter how much memorization/ theory/ songs that I learned. Drew really was able to create a framework that I could work with to improve my skills not only within a 1 hr lesson but still do this day.

Riley Adams: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality

Z Brazil: Drew is a master at removing the complexity that comes along with learning how to play the guitar. The way he breaks the learning experience down into manageable chunks and caters the lessons towards your ultimate guitar goal is very refreshing. He doesn't use a generic lesson plan and require you to learn things immediately that you might not utilize in the future. If your goal is blues on the electric guitar he will get you there; if you want to learn how to play country on the acoustic he'll get you there as well.I was a complete beginner and 6 months into it I'm amazed that I can do things which I thought impossible for a beginner, such as reading tab, comfortably playing barre chords, playing scales, improvising over backing tracks, learning complete songs, and much more.If you are mulling over whether to start your guitar journey don't think it over any longer. Buy a cheap guitar and call Drew ASAP...what are you waiting for?

Joseph Kerkhoven: Drew is a fantastic and thorough guitar teacher. He worked at my own pace while still pushing me each week to advance my skills. He also made me aware of some small mistakes I was making that I would have never noticed myself or with online lessons. If you are serious about learning the guitar and are looking for a professional and knowledgable teacher, I would definitely recommend Drew!

Charles: To echo the abundance of outstanding reviews, I too have been fortunate enough to find a guitar instructor as talented and passionate as Drew. Being a total newbie at guitar, it was important to me to find someone that was chill and really loved teaching. Drew is both of those things and more. He is intuitive enough to know how much to challenge you with, and immediately key in on the areas where you can improve. He is also great at celebrating any successes you achieve, and keeping you from being discouraged. Give Drew a shot on your musical journey.

Steve D: Drew is a great! teacher who is very organized in his approach. He communicates his lesson plan to you as the lesson begins, and after the lesson you will receive an email going over what you worked on in detail, and giving you some tips for your practice plan. I've played guitar for a very long time but have found myself advancing so quickly with him, as I am learning so many little techniques that are helping my overall playing. I love the high level of structure he has in his teaching. Helps to learn much more so much quicker. He is great for any level of learning!

jordan avesar: I am very happy with my progress on the guitar from studying with Drew. I had no guitar experience prior to our lessons and now am writing songs and having a ton of fun playing. Drew knows how to teach the big picture understanding of the instrument as well as how to smooth out any detailed technical issues. Everything in the lessons are super clear. He always tailors the lesson to my personal goals, but than he also shows me concepts that I didn’t realize are very important to playing the guitar. I’m really stoked on how fast I’m progressing. Although I came to Drew as a beginner, I know he can teach all levels and genres of music. I highly recommend taking guitar lessons with Drew for any guitar player!

Crystal Borelli: I was unsure who to go to for beginning guitar lessons. I came across Lessons by Drew and his page seemed very organized with customized lessons, so I emailed him some questions to see if I should give it a try. He was great with communication and answered all of my questions so I booked my first lesson. It was well worth it! He has such great tips to learn, he always accommodates my busy schedule, and is there to help me learn what I want to learn versus a set curriculum. I highly recommend!!

David Thompson: Drew is an outstanding guitar teacher, cannot recommend him highly enough. I began lessons several months ago as a complete novice, his approach with me has been fantastic. An excellent combination of learning the technique and technical components of playing the instrument together with an incredible knowledge of music theory, always with a goal of enjoying the learning and playing experience. Drew's calm and encouraging demeanor create a fantastic learning environment, and the emphasis on developing skills through immediately learning songs that you enjoy make the experience rewarding and enjoyable. You cannot go wrong choosing Drew as your guitar teacher / mentor.

Christine Zhang: I'm the kind of person who had never touched music in her life, didn't know how to tell the beat of the music and had no idea how guitar works. As my 2015 new year resolution, I decided to pick up on guitar to challenge myself and I yelped the highest rating private teacher. Since then Drew's lesson has become one of the best part of my life. I have been going to his class every week for a year. I was afraid to be laughed at in the beginning because I had zero foundation. But Drew made the class very interesting and made me feel really comfortable. What sets him aside is not only the exceptional music knowledge, but also his skill to understand people and teach in various methods.I loved all the classes I had and found it very beneficial. In conclusion, he is amazing. I totally recommend him as a teacher, a friend and a mentor.

Michael Delune: to work on at home. He even emails me the tabs for whatever song I am trying to learn, and on occasion, has written the tab for my bits on the fly during our lesson. Reliable, talented, and overall great!

ghost mcgrady: Drew is an incredible teacher. I've been taking lessons for several months now with Drew and I couldn't be more pleased with his methods and my progress with the guitar. A very kind gentleman and a scholar! Five stars

Terrence Pace: I've been playing guitar for a little over a year. When I first started, I took a few lessons with Drew, but had to stop because of my work schedule. I've tried a couple of other instructors, but ended up going back to Drew because he was the best by far. He's a very knowledgeable guitar instructor and he spends the time to understand what you are looking to get out of playing guitar. For me this is a hobby, so most importantly, Drew makes it fun.

Robert Leifheit: Drew is great, teaches to your ability and has helpful background information on music theory if you are interested.

William Brown: I've been a guitar player all my life, having played from age 13 in various bands. But song writing and performing has always been my passion, and I've ignored theory as a result. I felt it boring, and very "non-musical" and dry.But Drew was able to help me get back to basics, going through modes, and a few struggle points. It was a good experience as its been many years since I've had lessons, and many since I've even played. Drew’s teaching style was effective and helped make "the boring stuff" simple to understand.I recommend Drew for your next lesson if you really want a teacher who will help you understand the why, rather than just the how. Drew knows his stuff!

Los Angeles Guitar Academy: what do users think?

Christina Steinebrunner: "If I could rate LAGA 100 stars, I would! I've been using the program for about 3 months, and I can see an immense difference in my playing and technique.I started playing acoustic guitar about 8 years ago, until I heard a beautiful rendition of "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" by Tarrega.I fell in love with classical guitar, so I started by learning simple studies by Sor and Aguado on the acoustic guitar.I finally bought a classical guitar and continued learning some pieces by reading tabs, up until a few months ago.I noticed that I was not progressing anymore, and I was staying stuck at the same guitar level. I had trouble learning new pieces, and the older pieces that I already knew were not reaching perfection. I knew that I was struggling because I never learned the basics of playing the classical guitar. I was self-taught and I needed more instruction. I was looking for online guitar lessons, but most of the ones I found were too video game-like and not challenging enough. This program was a game changer for me! I am learning how to read music on the guitar, which is something I was dreading at first. LAGA makes it so easy by dividing the notes by the strings, and through easy songs. I love that I can learn the notes and look forward to learning a little piece, even if it's just a children's song. Playing it as a duet with the professor at the end makes it such an accomplishment! I have only completed 3% of the course, but I cannot wait to continue learning!

Mahendra Ghimirey: After having tried several platforms for learning this one stands out. The content is meticulously crafted, super high quality and none of the other platforms even come close. Its a subscription for life. Best of all, i finally get to talk to the world renowned instructor and YouTube sensation Dr. Emre and it was very inspiring. It definitely motivates me to keep learning. I would recommend this to anyone who is intent on learning and desires a very rich technical knowledge which is addictive at the same time.

Kate B: What a great find! The videos and lessons are so concise and easy to follow-not overwhelming or “over-explained” as some video formats are. I started a while ago and sort of hit a rut, and the faculty has reached out to me to work with me on what my issues have been and have gone above and beyond in working with my needs, figuring out my goals, and have been so encouraging along the way. I had some lessons with Dr. Emre Sabuncuoglu, who is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent, yet down-to-earth teacher, and I am really looking forward to learning from him. I think the sessions as well as continuing the curriculum for the Classical and Flamenco will really help me get to where I want to go with guitar.

Aaron Pigue: The Los Angeles Guitar Academy has been a such a phenomenal aide in developing my technique and intuition as a classical/flamenco guitarist. Furthermore, it has subsequently deepened my love for it. This music transcends any genre I’ve ever played. I go to sleep hearing it and wake up always excited to continue learning. I consider this music more like medicine than anything. Dr. Emre is truly a master. He and his colleagues are always available to assist in one’s development, progress, and address any challenges. The progression of the program is very well designed, and I’ve discovered some fantastic composers I hadn’t known prior to LAGA. It is remarkable to study with such a high calibre musician without having to move to LA. With the proper discipline coupled with the utilization of this program, one is sure to develop substantially as a guitarist and musician in such an abundance of ways! I am eternally grateful to have found this!

Karl Cyr: I have studied classical guitar at Los Angeles Guitar Academy since 2016 and have made great improvements in my playing and understanding of music. I initially signed up to try to get back into playing regularly because I had taken a hiatus due to serious health issues that made many things difficult for me including playing guitar. I was very lucky and grateful to find such an amazing teacher, Raul, who helped me work though many challenging pieces, transcriptions, theory, and technical/mechanical problems to help me achieve my goals. The level of expertise, professionalism, and talent I have experienced has always been inspirational and kept me motivated to push myself beyond what I thought I would be able to play because of health issues. Dr. Emre Sabuncuoglu’s tutorials, arrangements, and online lessons have also helped me improve my playing and understanding of how better to play pieces I have struggled with in the past. Being able to meet online is also so convenient and beats driving all over Los Angeles, especially now that I have moved to the East Coast to a more rural place it is the best! If you love classical and flamenco guitar and want to learn how to play the beautiful music that brings you joy this is the right school where you will find like minded people really engaged on the same musical quest.

kevin kuziw: I absolutely love their online programs!, Specifically Laga Prime. I was searching for a proper flamenco guitar program that I can do online for convenience and with low commitment and pressure. Nothing really existed and the similar online content that did was not really designed for beginners or was not nearly as well put together as Laga Prime. I have since become addicted to the program, its like a video game but without the guilt of wasting time. The program has been a huge inspiration for my flamenco journey and his lit a fire inside, I've made tons of progress since I started and even dropped $2000 on a flamenco guitar which I never saw coming. Laga Prime has a ton of value for the price, they actually take the time out to help you improve offering copious amounts of their time which was a shock for the low cost. For example, you submit monthly videos for feedback and improvement. I even met virtually with Dr. Emre Sabuncuoglu who gave me advice that was a game changer for me, once applied it basically brought me to the next level and is helping me get over my plateau. Thankyou Laga Team!

Michelangelo Cipkalo: Amazing transcriptions and great customer service!

Ellen Giannone: I have been doing the Prime Program at LAGA for 2 years in this coming October. I took 10 private lessons when I was a teenager, and prior to enrolling with LAGA, I took another 10 private lessons, one on one, of 30 minutes each. Of course, I had tried other you tube guitar lessons, and that's how I learnt about LAGA. With all these experiences, I found lesson from LAGA is the most direct and clear to follow as well reasonable price. . For that reason, I stopped wasting time to search for lessons, but to focus on learning and practicing following the LAGA program. In additional to the easy to follow program, I need to say, from the bottom of my heart that the supporting team is awesome. Thanks Frank for all your wonderful support., lol Ellen

Elvira Perdomo: Excellent customer service, purchased some music sheets from them and they were excellent and the service and support was very good when I encountered some issues.

Lidie Aaden: Loved the online lessons and the webcam lessons (found them on youtube. Though I don't think they have an actual school building where you can walk in and take lessons.

Brian Waldron Guitar Lessons: what do users think?

Emily Miller: I had been searching for guitar lessons for a few weeks and even went through a few trial classes to find the right guitar teacher. I could not believe how difficult it was to find quality lessons locally. At this point I decided to seek virtual lessons and came across the Waldron Guitar Academy. I was lucky enough to book lessons with the owner, Brian Waldron, and the experience and level of competency was night and day. My intro to Guitar lessons with Brian was exceptional. Every aspect was top notch including the scheduling, communication, and most importantly the education. Not a session had gone by where I did not leave with a deeper understanding of the guitar and music. I highly recommend the Waldron Academy for anyone wanting to learn to play the guitar.

Emily O'Connell: I’m an adult beginner who futzed around on my own for nine months before starting guitar lessons with Brian and I can’t recommend him strongly enough. He’s a great teacher and I’m making exponentially faster progress with him than I was on my own, which makes it much easier to stay motivated. He’s also a very cool guy! I love that he tailors everything to what I’m interested in and makes music so fun. I look forward to our lessons all week. Very very glad I made the leap and if you’re considering doing the same, you’ll be in great hands here!

Sasha C: Brian was an exceptional teacher and breaks down functional ways of playing the guitar that made it easy for a beginner like me to start actually absorbing techniques and have goals that helped me not get frustrated trying to learn new chords. HIGHLY recommend.

Laurie Shedler: Being a rookie on guitar is not an easy thing! Brian's professionalism and thoughtful approach has guided me to new levels of playing. Which is to say I am actually playing music! His style is one of listening to "meet me where I am" and constructive. His feedback creates a safe and rewarding environment. If you are looking for a guitar teacher that helps you establish a strong foundation of proficiencies, is patient and motivational look no further!

Jessica Kwok: .But I couldn't be more thankful to Brian for reaching out beginning of this year to finally get our first lesson together scheduled. Since then, he has really blown my expectations and reservations out of the water.Brian is obviously very talented, but also an excellent teacher. He ensures a strong foundation and technique are built, stopping bad habits in their tracks, before moving forward. This is probably the main reason why I keep coming back every week and excited for what's next. There are challenges and growth week-to-week and I have to attribute it to Brian - I would highly recommend Brian/Waldon Guitar Academy to anyone interested in pursuing guitar :

Singlespeedjo: Ronald was an excellent teacher. Very professional and kind. He went out of his way to transcribe a piece of music from an artist that I love. Brian was also very professional and communicated with me promptly. I highly recommend Waldron and Ronald !!

Lacey Giannetta: I’m very fortunate to have found Waldron for my guitar lessons. The whole team is very kind, encouraging, uplifting and helpful. I’ve made more progress in the just the few lessons I’ve had than I thought I would thanks to the patience of the teacher I was assigned. I would recommend and suggest using them for anyone who wants to learn how to play!

M Hicks: for the past few months. Brian is not only exceptionally talented but is also very patient and personable. Our son looks forward to his lessons and has already learned so much from Brian. After every lesson, Brian sends a follow-up email and video. Brian is highly encouraging and motivating and can connect with our son; even though it’s virtual, he always keep lessons interesting. We feel very lucky to have found him!

Emmanuel Papadakis: I am having an amazing guitar lesson experience with Brian. His attention to detail and precision in teaching techniques made a significant impact on my progress. He is also empathetic and understanding, creating a supportive learning environment to foster growth.

Rebecca Blondell: Brian is a passionate teacher with a unique teaching style. I appreciate his attention to detail. He has the ability to meet you where you are in your learning journey and consistently keeps the sessions interesting and manageable.Thank you Brian!

Micah Herrera: I live in LA and needed to level up my guitar skills. The quality of my playing has improved very satisfyingly since I started with Brian. He can take you where you want to go on guitar. It’s also a dream come true to study classical guitar with such a great teacher.

Bea Pell: . I am pretty much a beginner and have been taking lessons from him since March. I am amazed at how much I have learned since that time

Paco de Leon: I’m a self-taught guitarist that started taking lessons with Brian because I wanted to expand my knowledge, challenge myself, grow artistically, and take my playing to the next level. Brian has helped me with all of these things. Each week I feel like I make more progress than I used to make in months by myself. I’m more comfortable with the fretboard and I’m unlocking the path to being able to fully express myself through guitar. He’s beyond patient, super knowledgeable, very technical and encouraging. No matter your level of playing, Brian will meet you where you’re at and give you the knowledge you need to get better everyday. 🤘🏾

Diego Williams: Brian Waldron has demonstrated to me an extensive knowledge of classical guitar technique and mastery over practice ethic. He possesses an unmatched ability to identify areas for growth in his students and offers several solutions for any problems his students may have in their playing. Beyond his fantastic pedagogy, he is a very gifted player who has conditioned himself to be able to play effortlessly and gracefully. More than anything, he is a great mentor and a very kind, wise person.

Jon Raihala: Brian is a phenomenal teacher for all ages, I have learned so much from the lessons and completely obsess over making music. Take it from someone with absolutely no background in music, if he can teach me, he surely can teach you. Worth every penny!

sovi: , and I never considered taking Zoom lessons. I believed it would be too difficult for an instructor to correct form through a camera. But I pulled the trigger anyways, and I can confidently say that Brian catches EVERYTHING and will correct you. If you're on the fence about whether Zoom lessons will be beneficial to you

Angela T: My teenage daughter is an artist, she has been taking guitar lessons for about two months with Brian and really enjoys it.If you are searching for a gifted guitar teacher that communicates well with the students then I would highly recommend Brian. He is kind and patient, not only a great guitarist but also a gifted teacher that has the ability to impart his knowledge in a very organized , effective and professional manner . Brian is the best!

Brian O'Donnell: Excellent teacher. This is who you want in your corner. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or you’re simply just trying to improve your level of playing - Brian is the man.

Izzy Martelli-Raben: I have only done 4 sessions with Brian and I already can see my improvement, I’m brand new to guitar so it’s exciting to see progress in real time. i genuinely look forward to the lessons. Brian is a great teacher and is very encouraging. I’m excited to see where this will continue to take me!

Los Angeles Guitar Bass and Drum Lessons: what do users think?

Desiree Morada: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,ValueVery nice

STEADFAST BUSINESS SOLUTIONS: Nice place.

Yaniv Kenan: Jan is a great instructor. I take bass and electric guitar lessons with him. He plays several instruments, so when I'm playing bass for example, he might play along with the guitar or drums. It's really helps in developing great rhythm, so it's a huge plus. Get ready to play and have lots of fun!

Eddie Buchannan: Jan is super cool, down to earth, and incredibly patient as a teacher. Being a bit of an older student I was somewhat embarrassed to go in at first but that pretty much disappeared after our first lesson due to Jan's professionalism.Would strongly recommend to anyone looking to Guitar, Bass, or Drums. He knows his stuff, and will take your playing to the next level, especially if you've never had lessons before!

Tony Gonzalez: Jan is awesome! Our 9-year old is learning to play the electric guitar and has learned so much. Jan is great with kids, very patient. My son loves his lessons and looks forward to them.

Tait Anderson: My 10 year old son has been taking lessons the past few months. He has really enjoyed the lessons and is learning a lot. He leaves every class and says “Jan is really fun.” Jan is very patient and encouraging as my son learns this new instrument.

Carley J: Great space and educating atmosphere! Knowledgeable and kind teacher with lots of experience. If you want to learn drums, piano, and/or guitar for beginner, intermediate, or advanced students take lessons with Jan!

Jamie Lundy: Both my kids take lessons from Jan. He has a lot of patience and makes it tons of fun too! Highly recommended.

Eric Reed: Jan is a patient and very knowledgeable teacher who presents learning music in a relaxed and comfortable way. Great teacher for all levels of musicians.

Ben Zhang: Jan is an incredibly amazing teacher. He is very knowledgeable and patient. As a newbie to music, I feel so lucky to find him and take courses at his place!

Tou U: I have been with Jan for over a month now. From my experience in taking both guitar and drum lessons with him, I have to say he is definitely one of the best teachers you can find. He is able to keep the lessons really informational, inspiring, and at the same time, very entertaining. You won't be bored by doing simple, repetitive exercises, instead, you get your basic skills done without even noticing. He will jam with you while you are practicing simple techniques, and make you feel extremely satisfying in that process. He is also very flexible with schedules so no more excuses of being a full time worker or students. And his passion and knowledge in music will definitely inspire and push you to become a better artist. Thumbs up!

Zhang Jan: I know I will learn from Jan ever since my first class with him. He teaches techniques while manage to make the process fun. He explains everything he wants you to do so you understand the purpose of each exercise. He doesn't only teach you how to play, but also how to practice on your own. Reasonable charge. Flexible with time. Perfect for someone who's working and still want to learn something after work. He prints out sheets of music so you don't have to purchase any book. All in all very knowledgable in music, and a professional teacher.

Sam Zayas: Jan is the best bass teacher you will find!Growing up in music conservatory, learning piano and theory was a traumatizing experience for me. I had always thought that maturity and resilience were essential at the start of this learning process, necessary qualities to make it through the harsh comments and judgmental finger-pointings that music teachers gave to their students. I assumed, after the first couple years, such experience would ease as the music skill developed. When I decided to finally get serious about learning the bass guitar last year, I honestly expected nothing less. I met Jan with this preexisting perspective my last eight music instructors had left me, and I am sincerely elated to say I was wrong, and there is a music teacher who is honest with and passionate about his students and their learning.I commence by stating Jan has a strong sense of authenticity and humility. He is very open about his learning experiences with the guitar. From the stories he has told, he understands the various challenges, including rhythm maintenance, chord analysis, and transcription, that accompany learning an instrument. In addition, he provides constructive advice, directed towards improving the student’s musicianship. Being taught by an individual who views his students as peers is critical as this makes the learning processes much less intimidating and significantly more enjoyable, and an enjoyable experience assists in maintaining interest and fostering motivation in music. I find that, now, I am ecstatic to grab my bass and practice very night. Eagerly, I look forward to my next lesson with Jan and seeing what he will teach me next.I must also share a few words on Jan’s teaching method. I think “anyone” can teach another person to play music. In fact, one might not actually need that “anyone.” One can self-teach how to read notes on staff paper and where the notes are on an instrument, and there one has it. However, Jan’s focus is not isolated to teaching a person how to play music yet more importantly also includes how to create music. He emphasizes the fundamentals— the chords, the scales, and the arpeggios—that transform sounds into music, highlighting the note patterns that are appealing to the ear and the context in which these notes sound best. Before starting my lessons with Jan, I could play one too many Beatle’s songs. Knew every note in the basslines and how long to play it for. What I could not tell you before Jan was why every one of those notes sounded incredibly awesome in their given song. While playing the basslines other artists have written is fun and is part of learning, I believe creating one’s own is more rewarding and pleasurable, and this ultimately contributes to one’s desire to keep learning the instrument.Jan’s teaching approach has been instrumental in my music skill development. His comprehension of music and his genuine personality make him an ideal teacher for any individual, adult or child. I have seen him teach with the same level of passion he has for music, and one will positively reap a strong musicianship learning an instrument with Jan. I owe Jan my deepest gratitude for imparting a loving for music and bass that will last my lifetime.

Brandie Thrift: Jan is a awesome music teacher and a cool guy! Down to earth and funny, pus I'm learning a lot from him. Check him out you won't regret it!

Fabrizio Boggiano: some music teachers are very good at playing an instrument but not good at teaching, Jan is not only a great musician, he's an amazing music teacher! I took 3 years of guitar lessons with him which included theory, rhythm, soloing, song writing and band practice.... now, I play in 2 different bands as lead guitar, he showed me the right path to pursue my musical goals!!! I still come back every now and then to steal his guitar tricks to help me continue grow as a musician, thank you Jan !!!

Lauren Luiz: Great relaxed place to make music. Jan has been helping me arrange and record my music for months and I always leave feeling ready to make more!Would HIGHLY recommend for any kind of lessons with Jan

Seif: I have been taking guitar lessons with Jan for the past couple of months and I have really been enjoying it. He is extremely professional and will always try to find a suitable time that fits your schedule. I feel like i have improved a lot since i started taking lessons and I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a fun and professional teacher.

Henry Mann: Jan is an amazing guitar teacher who can teach any style, whether it be jazz, funk, blues, or anything else. I've only been going to him once a week for a couple months and I've already corrected so much about my technique. Definitely the best guitar teacher I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Kasey Burdick: Jan is a very talented musician. As a teacher he is one of the very best for a wide range of students and abilities. Recording with him is always a pleasant experience and with such a cool creative space how could you not come back. Rock and roll forever! Thanks Jan!

LA Guitar Studio: what do users think?

Joah Yu: A wonderful teacher and artist!!

Hannah Jones: 10/10 highly recommend for any person learning guitar for the first time or advancing their skills - every lesson including the first day is challenging, productive and fun! Not only do I see progress each lesson, I learn how to play so many different songs, chord progressions and rhythms! Also, he is very personable and makes it feel like a comfortable studio environment. Super awesome.

Sharon C: Learning guitar has been one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I couldn't have done it without my amazing teacher. His teaching style is specifically tailored to suit my learning needs, and he gives me constant encouragement to improve. With his expert knowledge of music theory, he's able to explain complex concepts in a way that's easy for me to understand, even as a beginner. I'm amazed at how quickly I've been able to pick up new skills and techniques, and I owe it all to his guidance. By teaching me just a few chords, he's opened up a whole world of music for me to explore and play along with. I couldn't be happier with my progress and I'm excited to continue learning from him. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn the guitar. Thank you, Dylan.

Davon Slininger: Minsu Kim is a guitar teaching guru! I was looking to up my game from a "really good beginner" and start to really take guitar seriously. Minsu has been the perfect match for breaking out of that plateau. He is incredibly patient, super knowledgeable in all aspects of music from theory to technique, and most of all is very supportive and encouraging. That's gold for me as a little positive feedback on occasion goes a long way. I have made great strides in the short amount of time that I've been studying with him and my knowledge and understanding of the guitar has greatly expanded. He is quite knowledgeable in most genres of music as well, so whatever your goals he'll definitely get you there. I had been putting off lessons for years mostly because I was afraid of not being able to find the right fit with an instructor, but Minsu has been a great fit. Would recommend to anyone wishing to advance in all their guitar pursuits!

Sang Hong: I’ve been taking lessons from Minsu for about a month and half and feel like he is an intuitive instructor that helps his students improve with positivity and sensibility. He communicates what he’s hearing and how to make the proper changes

Kevin Kim: Strongly recommend. He is very passionate about your progress and overall quality of his lessons are very high.

Bbo Kym: I can't wait for my child to take guitar lessons thanks to the teacher's friendly explanations, accurate identification of problems, and sincere teaching so that the children can continue to learn without losing interest.

Dongwan Kim: Highly recommended teacher for complete beginner like myself. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs, and feedbacks are given on every lesson. He teaches all levels of students not just for beginners, and the lessons will be tailored on improvements that are needed.

Sarah H: This is a great place to learn guitar step by step. It's only been 2 months since my son learned guitar here, and I was surprised at how high he was playing. I am so excited when I go to learn guitar. If you want to learn guitar, I highly recommend this place!!!

Justin Kim: Great teacher! He's very skilled, thorough, and has his own philosophy on learning progression. I enjoy that I'm not learning to play songs on guitar but learning to play the guitar foremost!

Bo Roff-Marsh: , all viable options. But anybody who has experience being taught by a true expert would agree that instructors are not all the same and whom you learn from sets the path with or without you realizing. Before I had the first lesson about a month ago with Dylan, I had been skeptical about the whole guitar thing. Four years prior, I got my fancy guitar and had a few private lessons. It didn't quite work out. I was still struggling to transition from one chord to another after 4 lessons and the guitar practice was not fun. I quit. Then I wanted to give another shot. Probably because I felt bad about my pretty guitar being tucked away in the closet all the time. So I found Dylan. Today was my 5th lesson and I was able to strum along the song "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. Unbelievable! I never felt I had a knack for a musical instrument growing up. My 3rd grade teacher criticized me for singing out of tune, well, I didn't even know what it means to sing in tune!

Hailey: He is friendly, patient, and tailored the lesson to my needs and interests. I learned a lot in a short amount of time. He gave me helpful tips and exercises to practice on my own, and I'm looking forward to my next lesson. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for guitar lessons.

Rachel Johns: Having a great time so far, thank you for being such a helpful teacher!

John Han: I’m totally new to Guitar and he’s helping me from the first step and now I’m falling in love with playing guitar everyday

김지연: I always wanted to learn the guitar, but it seemed too difficult and I always thought it was too late. However, it has been a little over a month since I met Dylan through a friend and started playing the guitar.I never thought I would be able to learn so quickly. I am lucky to have met Mr. Dylan. Classes are always fun and I look forward to the next class. I highly recommend LA Guitar Studio.

Junho Heo: In a studio with a comfortable atmosphere, he teaches very well using differentiated teaching methods that are easy to understand. I definitely feel like I am gaining and learning something from each episode. If you are thinking about learning guitar, I recommend this place!!!

Donn Ghim: After years of collecting dust on the guitar that I bought out of whim, I finally made a call a few months ago to join a group lesson at LA Guitar Studio. And I am so happy with my decision! As a classical violin player, many online and personal lessons I tried before felt like they were covering only very surface level. For that reason, I failed many times trying to learn how to play the guitar. However, Dylan really made it interesting and kept me engaged in covering various playing techniques and music theories. I wish I joined the class sooner.Highly recommend!

Isaac R: I have currently finished my first month of lessons with Dylan and I can confidently say that I have improved more in this short amount of time than in the last couple years of learning guitar. If you’re looking for a guitar teacher with a solid understanding of music theory and song writing I would definitely recommend Dylan.

Wan Kim: Dylan is a professional guitarist and instructor. Both on and offline classes are highly recommended.

Edward Castro: Awesome guy and very friendly.Helps me out every time.Very good ear.

Eric K: I've been learning guitar with Brian for about four months now, and it's been a blast. Despite not knowing much about music before, Brian has made the journey super enjoyable. It's not just about strumming chords; he throws in some music theory whenever he can and exposes me to different genres I never knew I'd like. Overall, it's been a fun and rewarding ride, and I'd definitely recommend him if you're looking to pick up the guitar.

Molly Kruse: I cannot recommend Brian more highly. He is patient, funny, kind, encouraging, and an all-around great teacher. He breaks things down into really relatable sound bites that are easy to digest and understand, and he even wrote a book that we follow in our lessons.Work with Brian, you won’t regret it!

Stephanie Hubbard: now I am able to write and perform my own songs and understand chords and scales and music theory. Learning from Brian is a fun experience: he is so enthusiastic and generous and really met me where I was technically and musically. I always felt safe as a female and respected even as a beginner, those things are very nice for a woman coming into what can feel like a technical male dominated space.

Jim Wills: Ive been taking lessons with my now 14 year old son from Brian for a few years now. We both love it. My son is always bummed when we miss one. Louder Now! Music Lessons: what do users think?

Terrence Pallend: Matt is a great guitar teacher! He makes difficult concepts easy to understand, keeps things fun, is patient, and will help improve your playing.

Jules Desmond: John is an excellent teacher! He has been teaching my 10 yo son drums this year. He is able to foster a love for the instrument and for music in general. He has broadened my son’s musical taste, always picking fun songs while also letting him choose songs that he wants to learn - often improvising a level appropriate drum part! While my son doesn’t always find enough time to practice, John is very patient and positive and my son always looks forward to his lessons, which at this beginner stage is the absolute main thing!

Maya Siklai: My son’s drum teacher, Juan, is an excellent instructor. He is well organized, always has a plan for his lesson so my son gets the most out of his 30minutes. He is kind, encouraging and enthusiastic. I have already seen a lot of progress in the month since he started lessons with Juan. The school itself is well run by John who communicates in a respectful and timely way. Thank you Louder Now!

Geraldina Alvarado: My daughter and niece love their Drum class with John. He is super kind and patient with my girls.

Stephen Lubin: John is a great teacher!I was a self-taught guitarist for 11 years, and always had trouble progressing past early-intermediate techniques/songs. I could play chords nicely enough, but struggled with more advanced strum patterns, fingerpicking, and music theory. I went through cycles of getting into playing again, becoming bored, then putting the guitar down for a couple months and losing progress.Since starting lessons with John, I have learned so much and playing guitar is more fun than ever! I am able to play more advanced songs, and have a way better time just jamming out.I feel more confident playing around my friends and will even jam with some people. Louder Now! has been a really positive experience for me that has let me get more out of my music.

Renee Newsome: My son just started lessons with Juan in drums and guitar and he is stoked and really loves it! Juan is always super positive and encouraging! He makes playing music so fun.

Maureen Padilla: My daughter is almost 15 and loves her electric guitar lessons with Matt at Louder Now. Matt makes each lesson fun and engaging. My daughter has learned an array of chords and songs in a relatively short amount of time, which has given her a great sense of accomplishment and motivation to continue learning an instrument.

He’s great at finding what I need to improve on and takes the time to make sure I understand. I try not to miss lessons, but he makes it really easy to schedule make up lessons or give credit for the next month.

Wendy Tapia: Our experience with Louder Now! Music lessons has been nothing less than amazing. My son has been with John for a year now, and he’s learned a great deal. Most importantly, I really appreciate how patient and helpful John has been with him and it’s what keeps my son coming back.

Josh Kamensky: I've been mucking around on guitar for decades & finally decided to get to know the instrument properly. Matt has been a great teacher, choosing a broad selection of pieces that challenge me on different axes and introducing tips and tricks along the way. I'm having more fun and playing much better.

I can easily tell how much I’ve improved even with a few months of lessons. John is great at organizing everything and makes scheduling easy!

Megumi Anjo: John is a fantastic teacher.  He is very friendly, enthusiastic, kind and has a good sense of humor.Every lesson is full of learning, fun and he keeps me motivated.  He can teach different kinds of instruments so I appreciate that I can learn another instrument at the same time.  If you are looking for a music teacher in Los Angeles, I definitely recommend.
