Chef Eric's Culinary Classroom: what do users think?

Sunusi Ibrahim: I would rate it as highly satisfactory.

Steven Kiss: . Eric is very friendly and staff was nice as well. The shared meal at the end was great.

Alfredo Rodriguez-Allen: My fiancée and I took the knife skills class and we had a blast. The whole experience was fantastic. We learned a lot, we had fun, and we want to go back for more classes. Chef Eric is fantastic, and so is his staff, especially Juana! I highly recommend his Culinary Classroom.

Kristin Dyer: , and I had such a great time learning from him and his staff

Ruslan A: Had the pleasure of attending Chef Eric's Knife Skills class with my girlfriend over the weekend. I've been wanting to "sharpen" my knife skills and learn new tricks in the kitchen, where we like to spend our evenings preparing dinner after a long day of work.Chef Eric Crowley and his team were great, true professionals, very organized, friendly, and a great example of Teamwork.Chef Eric kept the class moving at a great pace, was very informative, had us practice what was taught afterwards, and there was a delicious treat at the end.Great way to disconnect, learn a new skill, AND the cost savings of preparing restaurant style meals at home is a great BONUS.Highly recommend checking out Chef Eric's school and classes!

R S: Simon had so much fun and learned a lot .Definitely recommend chef Eric and culinary lessons !!!!!!!

Nika Fouquet: The best one in West LA.Per my son, he liked it because you get real hands on experience. We've done others and he didn't like that everything was already pre-measured and laid out so all he was doing was assembling 👎🏽In his words "I wasn't learning how to cook" - So glad we found Chef Eric.

Jenny Tom: My now 12-year old son has attended all of Chef Eric's cooking camps, basic series classes and master's classes and has gained so much knowledge and experience to prepare him for a possible future as a chef. He has also had the opportunity to intern at the Culinary Classroom to become familiar with a teaching and working kitchen. Chef Eric has great people skills and teaching skills - I highly recommend his classes!

Sylvia Artalejo: Had a great experience, enjoyed the classes, loved all the recipes. Would recommend these culinary programs to everyone interested in furthering their knowledge of fine cooking & baking, for pure enjoyment or professionally.

Christopher Wolski: The Master Chef program more than lived up to my expectations. I learned more than just recipes--I learned the principles of cooking. As a teacher, Chef Eric is patient, supportive, but also exacting. He runs a tight operation--and you COOK--the certificate you get at the end is something you EARNED through hard work. If you want to learn how to cook, then the Master Chef program is the way to do it. Oh, and I'm planning to take the baking class in the near future--can't wait!

Jason Spann: I highly recommend this program! Chef Eric and his team are very attentive and supportive. They anticipate your questions and needs before you can panic. What a great learning environment, it is. I learned an abundance of skills and had fun doing it. I love that they are ready to provide resources about internships and job opportunities, if that is where you're headed. You won't be disappointed that you signed up for this program.

Amanda Meixner Rocchio: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,ValueChef Eric is extremely professional and packs so much value into one course! I couldn't be happier with the experience. It's well organized and challenging but definitely doable. Currently enrolled in his master chef program and absolutely loving it.

Peter Smith: Chef Eric is a great teacher who takes the time to show, explain and answer all questions making learning very easy.

Maria Gomez: is absolutely highly knowledgeable, experienced, well awarded and respected in the industry- as well as so patience, and kind and so enthusiastic!and his ability to explain so clearly is beyond perfect and enjoyable! From the minute you enter the school you feel so welcoming from the front Door -Desk amazing wife Jennie Co- founder who’s always so helpful in anything you may have questions about, and always kindly goes the extra mile to help! The chef assistant who’s happily share his knowledge and helps to assist the students as well,All of way to the lady who helps maintaining this beautiful school impecable!I’m grateful to them and happy I choose this school.

Lisa Wegner: I first went to this class with my son, and I have been back a few times. The classes were fun and we learned a lot. When first we enter, there is an lecture and demonstration to go over the recipes that we will be making. It's easy to understand and see what the chef is doing as he has a mirror over his workspace. After that we go into the kitchen. The class is small, and we are broken up into groups of two. Each group is given a recipe. As we work on our recipes, we are able to view the work other groups are doing and get involved with them if there is any down time. We also get all of the recipes to try again at home. At the end, we all get together and eat what we have made. We also have plenty to take home. It's an easygoing and fun experience. Thank you Chef Eric.

Miriam Wilson: Took the basic knife skills class and really enjoyed the experience. I cook a lot at home and love it but never learned any techniques so I’m pretty slow. The tips Chef Eric taught were very useful to me and will speed up my cooking. He also taught us how to care for and sharpen knives which is what I really needed since all mine are dull.We then got hands on cooking experience cutting vegetables, deboning chicken and more. Everyone in class was very friendly including the staff and Chef Eric. I found it to be a warm, inviting environment full of people who love to cook. The kitchen was very clean and the meal cooked for the end of class using our prep ingredients was absolutely delicious. I’ll be back to take more classes soon!

CASA - The Chef Apprentice School of the Arts: what do users think?

Vanessa A Cortez: Chef Kristi is an incredible individual to learn from, not only does she instruct what one should do in terms of technique but she also goes into the why’s as well.

Michael Golembiewski: initiated, and has maintained, consistent engagement and rapport, Throughout the program. Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from and work directly with, one of the most masterful and intuitive Chefs in the booming Nashville, Tennessee finer dining world.Ultimately, if you are passionate about embarking confidently in the culinary world, and you take learning seriously, CASA is a no brainer. 5 stars :

John Ollier: This was a wonderful educational opportunity and experience for me. Everything was fairly self paced and the hands on experience in a restaurant setting was very valuable to my learning! Highly recommend CASA!

Brandon G: Brandon GuerreroTraining at the restaurant that CASA assigned me to was just amazing it’s a real eye opening experience for me. The resturant CASA assigned me to had me learning different things all the time everyday I learned something new. I really liked the fact that in the resturant absolutely nothing went to waste. The chefs at the restaurant were so welcoming and I loved that I always got to ask them questions and ask them about there journeys about becoming a chef and everyone had a different experience so I learned as much as I could While at CASA.The hands on is more than what I could ask for i got to cook, cut, clean and help with service , just seeing a resturant in motion was pretty nice.

Vicente Morales: Learning how restaurant kitchen works is sometimes good but can be busy, like super busy. I've learned as much as I could from my mentor and working in the kitchen of Carnivale Chicago, even though I actually do not work there because I was a CASA student. Working with my academic facilitator is very good and very helpful when it comes to tutoring sessions. It is a shame though that CASA Chicago school is not here anymore.

Jon Harte: I had a wonderful time with my mentor Chef Kristen and the staff that she has. I learned so much under her and through the Casa program. My academic advisor Josyln was great at keeping me focused on my work and making sure I was able to complete all I needed. I would highly recommend that if you want to further your culinary degree that this is the place to go.

Albert Kim: Great way for an aspiring chef to get their foot in the door. I learned a lot from the real-world experience I have received from long time professionals, all while making the connections needed to further my career.

Anthony Recinos: Overall this what a great experience. My mentor Joslyn was awesome! Always have the best advice and always showed that she cared about my well being and about my academics. The externship pet of the course was also great, got to work alongside chef Matt. He taught me so much!

Sarah S. Stephens: I was absolutely blown away by this program! I started in late January and graduated today June 21st. My adviser was so invested in making sure I was having a great time. She made it her personal mission to answer any question I had. What I felt was most important, sharing photos of my food was always met with encouragement, compliments, and suggestions. I love the connections I made through this program. I highly recommend anyone go here! 3

Jimmy Edwards: My personal experience, has been wonderful. Working with a chef one on one, gives you the opportunity you need to receive the best training that you can get. Whatever you need help with, the chef is right there to assist you. When it comes to training with a knife or various different types of equipment, the chef is right there to show you the correct way or answer any questions that you may have.

Maniyah Greene: When i first started the program i was a little hesitant to start. Joslyn was such an amazing advisor whenever I ran into challenges while in the program she was there every step of the way to help guide me through. Her weekly check-ins made me feel like i mattered rather than just another name in her computer. Chef Yusef from Ms.Iceys Kitchen and Bar was a great help as well. I highly recommend trying out the location not just for the lessons, but the food is also amazing. He was very patient, welcoming, and understanding which made me ready to show up and engage every time. I really recommend Casa to anyone that's ready to finally take that leap of faith to do something different to help them with their careers.

SOS: Wonderful program at RRFC. Always checking up on you and providing any help needed. Being in person help a lot with knowing how a kitchen is run.

Taja Newell: First off, without CASA I would be years behind in my career. They gave me the opportunity to prove myself and get hired at PastaBar. This is only the beginning, but CASA allowed me to get a headstart.

Mel Aguilar: Positive:Communication,Quality

Bryant Avant: I love this school. I graduated and got to cook for artist like P!NK and Rascoe Flats.

Providence: what do users think?

Lisa C.: Two Michelin stars. After eating the set meal, I felt that the appetizers were the best, with surprises, and then gradually became ordinary😅 But the platter is really beautiful, and the theme of the sea and trees is presented.I opened a bottle of red wine, but the next day I got a rare headache... 4 of us drank 5 bottles of water, and it felt like the water kept being boiled for us to drink 😂The desserts were very ordinary, but I actually had some leftovers. I love desserts. It cost almost $600 per person to walk out... My friend thought this time it was not as delicious as last time.

Arman Mamnoon: Absolutely the best dining experience I've experienced to date. Service, Food, Atmosphere, everything was beyond belief. We celebrated my best friends birthday last night and had an unforgettable experience. Private room, the best food, the best service by Martin and the team, what more could you ask for.We will 1000% be coming to more often to celebrate future milestones.

Magda Kernie: Delicious, Beautiful and Welcoming!!Seriously. I've never been to a fancy place like this, and I think it's like 250 a person. As someone who is frugal, this places is well worth the money. This experience was like no other. I'd never had caviar, scallops, duck, wagyu. Everything was delicious. And very fillings. Like I was very full 75% of the way in. And could have stopped but the courses kept coming. And it was all bomb. Not all of the dishes will knock your socks off, but many will, And you won't leave hungry. And the service...nailed it. Kind and welcoming people. Educated us on every dish, and treated me, the host of the dinner, extremely well. They treated everyone well, but especially me, which was awesome. This experience could not have gone better. Thank you Sarah and Team!

Marlene Guardado: You absolutely have to dine here! Everything from the food, to the service, to the wine/cocktails and ambiance was absolutely incredible. My significant other doesn’t eat raw fish and I forgot to mention it when booking, but the staff asked at the start of the meal and they were happy to accommodate the preference despite it being last minute. The somm absolutely nailed the pairing the night I was there. My group loved every single pour so much that we asked for a detailed list of the tasting. Overall, everything was fantastic and I quite enjoyed the perfect balance between friendly and professional when it came to the service.Thank you for an incredible night!

Chiara Gallo: We celebrated our 10years anniversary at Providence LA and we had such a tasteful culinary journey. Everything was phenomenal. From the main dishes and the different side menu such as Maines oysters, chitarra truffle pasta, prawns, Comte truffle. There were the best things we put into our body in 2024 so far. Again everything was excellent and very well wine paired. One of our most desirable restaurant to revisit.

David Baker: A very nice experience.Service was a little spotty: At one point, a diner was served a dish they were deathly allergic to, after the restaurant had multiple warnings. On another course, half the plates at the table didn't have the sauce that went with the protein. The room was a bit cramped, with servers having to ask diners to push in their chairs. Halfway through the meal, our server had to leave and handed off duties to someone else. We waited a long time for the bill at the end of the meal and eventually I went hunting through the restaurant for a server, learning that they'd charge everything to the credit card on file; it would have been nice to be told that, and given the opportunity to review the charges.Still, the food was fantastic.

Orsa & Winston: what do users think?

Jan Kwak: Unassuming little restaurant in downtown LA. Kind of low key and minimalist, but authentic and classy. The staff are really proud of their dishes, the food and service are amazing. The tasting menu is presented as 5 course, but in reality lots of little surprises keep coming. The fusion of Japanese and Italian really works. Some dishes blew us away. Absolutely worth it!Vegetarian options: Only two choices on menu anyway: 1. Vegetarian tasting menu, 2. Non vegetarian tasting menu. We tried both and were equally impressed.

Nora Zhang: A chic Michelin 1star restaurant in DTLA. Menu is very simple but you’d be surprised by how many “gifts/dishes” chef send you. You’ll end up having way more than what’s indicated on the menu. Definitely full after the meal. All ingredients are fresh and delicious. Not fishy at all. Ingredients compliment each other and create a beautiful harmony. I recommend adding the seafood porridge. It’s savory and delicious. 1 serving can be shared between 2 people.Services is to the standard. Seat arrangements are comfortable and provide enough privacy for each table.

Sarah Stallman: Amazing prix fixe experience. Small, intimate space that gives individualized service. We ordered the standard 5-course meal, but they threw in a few extras that were fantastic. They also accommodated for gluten sensitivity, which I was very appreciative of. The plates are small, but we left with very full stomachs. Nice wine and beer selection. Would definitely come back to experience this again!

Michelle Barnes: Exceptional and very filling seafood focused tasting menu! My sister and I dined here to celebrate her birthday. The tasting menu has 5 courses and we also opted to get the add on seafood porridge. They ended up serving us 4+ extra courses as well so you get plenty of food! They started off with a warm savory soup with caviar. We then had a yellowtail fish with snow peas and okra. Our next course was dungeness crab with mandarin, pear persimmon, avocado, and parmesan. This was definitely one of the standouts for us! We were then served an extra course of Sacramento caught sturgeon with purple sweet potato. The next was a butternut squash ravioli with 3 cheeses and 2 types of truffle, which was another favorite! This was followed up with an extra course of Japanese needle fish with an asparagus broccoli veggie crossover and yuzu butter. The satsuki rice seafood porridge followed after. I wouldn't say it's necessary to get this dish if you're concerned about being hungry after. We enjoyed the rice porridge itself but weren't huge fans of most of the seafood in the porridge. The next course was a New Zealand fish with breakfast radish and trumpet mushrooms. An extra course of strawberry cornbread followed, which was excellent, and we finished off with a chocolate ganache with marscapone, poached pear, and caramel. Overall fantastic and delicious meal at an affordable price for a Michelin star restaurant and would highly recommend!

Veronica Ng: This was our first Michelin star experience in LA and we were quite impressed! The standout was surprisingly the beverage pairing, mostly European wine and one pouring of sake. The pairings all tasted great in their own, but with the food, the flavours were truly enhanced by each other!During our seating, the chef actually gave us a feel complimentary items which we very much appreciated! It seemed like the other tables did as well. While it was thoughtful, we actually felt like the complimentary items ruined the flow and rhythm of the tasting menu. We really appreciated the extra dishes but it kinda downgraded the experience actually…. Maybe they were trying new dishes? The actual items on the menu were very delicious, well thought out and creative. The salad and pasta dish were the most memorable!! In terms of the Japanese and Italian fusion, I did see elements of both but the dishes were leaning towards the Italian side. I want to say 30% Japanese and 70% Italian.Atmosphere-wise, I really like how it was a bit more casual. The open kitchen was very nice and they only had a few seatings so was a very intimate experience with my fiancé.WOULD I COME AGAIN? Yes, mainly because I was surprised by the beverage pairing and really appreciated it. I don’t feel like other restaurants truly do the beverage pairing this well and would want to come back to experience this again. The pritce point is also fair. I wouldn’t say the $$ was worth it in ingredients, but in the “art” of the dishes.

עדי אלתר: I had the tasting menu, and it was delightful. The meal lasted just the right amount of time. I don’t enjoy when restaurants drag out meals too much, this menu had the perfect amount of food and every dish I was served was to my liking which is rare! The dishes I enjoyed the most were the egg custard, the crab, the vegetable dish and the pasta- but really, everything was good. The service was also, very kind. Special thanks to Roman!I would love to visit again in the future.

Malcolm Baines: The miso soup at this restaurant is a delightful appetizer. Served hot, it exudes a rich, savory aroma. The well-balanced broth offers a perfect blend of salty and umami flavors, thanks to the miso paste. The tofu is exceptionally silky, the seaweed provides a delightful contrast in texture, and the scallions add a fresh aroma. This dish is a harmonious combination of traditional Japanese flavors and high-quality ingredients, making it a must-try for those seeking an authentic and satisfying miso soup experience.

The Gourmandise School: what do users think?

Jackie Jefferson: I have attended numerous cooking classes in person and virtually. By far, The Gourmandise School of Cooking is part of my top 5. Pre-pandemic, one of their scheduled classes was "Walking with the Chef". We would literally walk with chef to the Farmers Market to purchase product, spices and any other items they would need to prepare their dish. In class, everyone participated. It was the high light of my experience attending the school.

michael walsh: Super fun place with really great instructors.and staff

Alicia K.: Great team activity - everyone walks away with a full stomach and a ton of cooking knowledge! Because of all the prep work Gourmandise team does, your group has time to learn from the Chef, converse together, and leisurely eat a homemade meal.

Ryan Winn: Amazing classes and great selection of teachers! Can't recommend more of you want a fun and educational cooking class

Doerte Sennecke-Chow: It left a great first impression. We are keen on experiencing this beautiful space as a venue for events or a cooking class. To be continued.

Ceraun Loggins: Took a Thai cooking class and it was really fun, Chef Laura was very knowledgeable and an amazing teacher!

Andrew Behla: The Gourmandise School is hands down the best cooking class I ever attended. My wife and I took the Izakaya class where we learned how to make classic dishes served in Japanese pubs. Our instructor, May, was incredible in sharing the history of the food and how certain dishes have distinct flavors based on the ingredients and the way they are prepared. We made five dishes at our cooking stations. The sixth was a Matcha Ginger Shortbread which was the dessert. May talked us through the preparation for the cookies in class and had the kitchen staff baked the cookies while we focused on our five dishes. The overall setup of the class and preparation were well thought out and very thorough, making it easy for us to focus on cooking the dishes during the class. The staff and support team were phenomenal in making sure we had everything we needed to make the dishes. They even gave us tofu for our Shrimp and Garlic Chive Gyoza recipe to make them vegetarian friendly. We ended the class with a feast. All of the dishes were so flavorful and authentic. One thing to note is you can bring your own wine if you wish. The Curious Palate is a restaurant/bar next door that sells bottles of wine for 50% off to students. Kudos to the Gourmandise School for creating such a unique and memorable experience. I'd recommend their classes to anyone interested in learning new recipes, meet interesting people and have fun doing it! I'm looking forward to attending future classes.

Emma Cortes: I love their classes, lots of knowledge, and information! ☺️

Jeremy Moore: I had the pleasure of joining the Sourdough 101 class today with instructor Clemence Gosset. It was absolutely one of the most fun experiences I've had in LA. The space was lovely with a great little shop in the front, tailor made to excite the culinarian in each of us. Clemence was a funny and hugely knowledgeable instructor, bouncing from proper stretch-and-fold technique to the history of Red Fife wheat with grace. Had a great time and will absolutely bring the missus for a date night class. Would highly recommend.

Devyn Kadosh: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAmazing class! I took this and learned so much, so excited to go back.

emma morken: Yum!!!!! I have taken several classes here and am always amazed at the stuff that comes out of my kitchen. The staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful and the chefs go above and beyond in sharing tips and tricks to making delicious food. Would recommend to anyone looking to expand on their cooking knowledge and make some delicious food in the process.

Jane Hernandez: My friend organized a cooking class to have Chef Jordan teach us how to prepare a 3-course meal for her birthday. We had a group of 12. I think it's safe to say everyone walked away well fed with some newly learned cooking skills.

Paul Schembri: When else in life do you get to make the same recipe with five different flours to compare flavor and texture? Amazing classes and amazing people

Gwen: what do users think?

Howard London: A blend of classic & inventive approaches. Simply perfect combinations of meats, aging & heat. Everything is prepared with all your senses in mind. The kitchen's knowledge is apparent in each offering. The friendliness of the whole staff is inimitable; warm & appropriate. They have a water menu! No really, it makes sense! Simply a worthy destination!Parking: Located on the adjoining side street, easy & avoids problematic Sunset boulevard traffic

Liam Lynch: Exceptional service and exceptional food. We were served by a bloke called nick who noticed my wife didn't care for her cocktail and comped it for us without us mentioning it, even though it was simply down to personal taste. The restaurant also supports local knife makers offering a choice of handmade steak knives from a local small business instead of the usual cheap restaurant supply knives. If I ever return to los Angeles I will come back here.

Grant Turner: Incredible food, atmosphere. Wine list and sommelier were incredible. Our waitress was so kind and knowledgeable. And we met Curtis Stone! How can you beat that?Wagyu was incredible!Bread is to die for - we got seconds!

LA Cooking School Cafe: what do users think?

vanessa karubian: Our whole family LOVES the Los Angeles Cooking School. The manager Gerard is wonderful to work with and makes magic happen there. The place has such a warm, homey vibe and all of the people who work there are so nice and supportive, especially Chef Mani. The classes they run for kids teach them practical cooking skills and encourage them to be creative. The adult classes are fun and the food we make is delicious. Everything is clean and beautiful!

Erich Arabejo: Awesome meatball sandwich!!!

Jacqueline Woll: The Coffee shop is never ready when I get there so have yet to try any sandwiches but did go in there for the Blue Nova ice cream parlor I'm the evening! Sooooo good and the kicker is that you get to see how it's made on the tv monitor in the front. This blows Cool Haus out the door. Loved this ice cream place!! I recommend the Matcha Green Tea....Delicious!!!

Julia Pak: Staff are so nice, and attentive. The ice cream is fresh, delicious, and very entertaining to watch being made. The ice cream is made from the LA cooking school students and they are definitely a pleasure to be around. Come get your ice cream!

Christina Mixon: Rented one of the kitchens for an event and I can't say enough good things about the space and the manager Gerard! My team of "novice" chefs learned so much about how to professionally cook and had a great time hearing Gerard's stories of coming up thru the culinary ranks.I would highly recommend this space if you need a commercial kitchen or want to host an event.

L 1: Great place to eat very classy amazing food and great service would highly recommend trying this place out. Although they do have a lot of salads they are expertly done and has a real touch of class about it. The staff are all very freindly and an absolute joy to see. Would highly recommend going to this place one of a hand full of places I would travel to eat. The tuna is spectacular and my favourite.

Adrienne Bambou Diagne: Amazing service and great people. Enrique is everyone you need to make your place working.

Chris Martinez: Nice to have cooking classes for beginners!

Lauren Blankenship REALTOR: Best place for coffees, pastries, a delicious meal + to meet someone to talk. Love, love this sweet, delicious, adorable cafe!!

Sushi Chef Institute: what do users think?

Michael G.: I just finished both sessions of the Sushi Chef course. I learned a lot of information and some great skills I'll put to use in the future. I recommend these courses to anyone looking to start work in a sushi restaurant whether as a chef or in management. Thanks, Chef Andy!

hartono widjaja: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value

Crisanta Knight: Positive:QualityI truly enjoyed the intensive learning experience provided at this unique sushi school. Every day was an adventure and there was a wide range of topics covered. I feel so accomplished having learned so much and mastered so many skills.

Bryan Mock: I started the Sushi Institute today and had a great experience working with Yumi prior to starting, her communication and organizational skills are top notch! Chef Andy's program from classroom to kitchen was on point and to be able to taste test your days work was a great experience. I am looking forward to all that I am going to learn and achieve over the next 2 months!

Amber Brine: Had such an amazing experience! Staff was extremely friendly. Now I can impress my friends and family with my sushi skills!

Sandy Murray: and explains his process thoroughly as he goes. Obviously a mastermind with all his knowledge and the way he uses a knife so effortlessly and flawlessly will make you do a double take.I highly recommend all of their classes whether you’re going solo, as a couple, with friends, or with work. The themed ones for different holidays are especially fun! The staff is fantastic, especially Amie! She helped me complete a crazy ask I had a couple months ago…I rented out their green room and used it as a meeting space / conference room for my department’s annual meeting, and then we moved over to the kitchen for a sushi making class as part of our team building event after the meeting. It was an excellent and memorable experience, and the entire department loved it. Everyone had an outstanding time, as they had never done a sushi class before. Great for building morale and a team culture for sure!!

Freeman Baldwin: If you’re interested In becoming an authentic sushi chef you should definitely visit Sushi Chef Institute

Yuuko Ichihara: The sushi chef instructor is very well versed in making sushi and its history. He makes it look easy and you feel like you can make it too. My only suggestion is to also teach how to prep the perfect batch of rice

RSS Lim: Thank you Andy Sensei, Saburo Sensei, Shinchan and Amie for making my experience at Sushi Chef institute an unforgettable one! I am so glad I got to learn the fundamentals of Japanese cooking. Before the class, I was quite confused about Japanese cooking but it was simpler than I had anticipated. I am glad I chose this school thanks to Amie’s very good marketing/social media/advertising skills, she is always there to answer all my questions before I arrived. All in all if you are planning to start your sushi chef / sushi restaurant career, look no further! You get to learn everything and after graduation you will have unlimited ideas to create any Japanese dish! Get ready to work hard and pay attention in class! it can get tiring but it will be worth it, keep taking notes and record videos to help you in the future! 2 months goes past very quickly. Andy Sensei’s book is very good as well! I can’t wait to open my own sushi bar soon. ^_^

Francisco Alvidrez: Great place to learn

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar: what do users think?

CABLE CABLE: This RACISM must not stand! Do not spend a cent on this establishment! FORCE IT OUT OF BUSINESS!Disgusting RACISTS! I was dining with others at the San Diego-area restaurant on May 29 to celebrate my brother getting engaged. When the dinner plates began to arrive at their table, I received a hot plate of steak, but my BLACK boyfriend did not! Instead of steak, he was served an empty hot plate sprinkled with parsley. While delivering the empty plate, [the server] looked at my BLACK boyfriend and said: ‘You’re probably used to a loud sizzle with your hot plate, but ours is silent. Enjoy."The server told him that he had once “spilled a drink on a Black guy” while working as a bartender and thanked McKillian for “your good behavior for not acting out.”

Ayanna Kennedy: I went to Fleming's before a concert at the Peacock Theater in LA Live. I love steakhouses and dine at them regularly, and I would consider this a good steakhouse overall. The food was really good and the cocktails were nice and balanced. We had a bit of an issue with getting seated and serviced initially, but the service definitely improved throughout the dining experience. It was a bit louder than I would say a typical steakhouse is, but I assume that's the area it's located and the fact that there were events in L.A. Live. I would want to come back to try it out again.

robert squyres: First time eating here was on 2/24/2024. It was fantastic food and a great experience. Our table split a couple sharable sides. The first item was the Fleming's Potatoes, which to me was a very rich and flavorful au gratin type of dish. The second item was the crab cakes. I have never had a crab cake before, and I think these spoiled them from here on out. They were jam packed with crab, seared perfectly, and the red pepper and lime sauce was perfect with them. The third item was the flash fried brussels sprouts. I have had brussels sprouts before, but these were the best I have ever had. The crispy texture, along with the sauce that was on it was perfect. I can only guess what was on them, but it tasted like balsamic vinaigrette with either honey or brown sugar. I will have to try and figure out how to cook these at home! For dinner I had the Main Filet Mignon with the Diablo Shrimp on top. The steak was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth!Accompanying dinner they served nice fresh bread with 2 different butters. The first one was a champagne infused butter, and the second was a cheddar and herb butter. Both were fantastic, but if I had to choose I would take the champagne butter any day.The other two dishes we had was the Petite Filet Mignon and the Miso-Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. I do not have pictures of those two dishes, but I was told that both dishes were fantastic!I would return here again, but I would reserve it for a special occasion or anniversary. It is fantastic food, just not something that can be afforded on a regular basis.

Roberta Holts: The service & food is always top notch here! Depending on how you feel, dining in the bar area is always a winner. You can receive the same food & it may even be slightly cheaper if it falls within the time for happy hour.My go to is the Caesar Salad with Salmon, as pictured, Sweet Chili Calamari & a nice cocktail.Parking: Parking is free for 2 hours, WITH VALIDATION, if you park in the L.A. Live, underground parking garage. The entrance is on Olympic right next to the Yard House Restaurant. Ask your server for validation, they'll provide you with a ticket.

Hal Lester: Quincey & Jesse were just awesome -Couldn’t do enough for us! What a great pre-venue steak house with great food and great people. I wish I’d have taken pictures!

Brandon Griffin: William and Jessie were great. I had lots of gluten free questions and they walked us through everything. It was an enjoyable experience.Dietary restrictions: I wish they had gluten free bread.

Cristine: Food is amazing as always! The Blueberry Lemon Drop is a little different here than at the other Fleming's I've been to, but still tasty! Absolutely love their filet mignon. They have a seasonal apricot and thyme green beans side, and that is pretty amazing as well! Would 1000% recommend taking a rideshare to this location. I would honestly drive the extra miles down to other Fleming's locations only because the parking situation here at the DTLA/LA Live absolutely sucks especially on the weekends. The "complimentary" photo was interesting, but nice when you're having dinner with friends you rarely see!

Petit Trois: what do users think?

Rain: Food was really good but our original waiter wait on break then didn’t come back for a long time in which a new waiter came and we had to remind her of our order.

Numan Karabıyık: Words are not enough to express this experience, but I will try to make it as simple as possible. Everything was exceptional.Chicken Liver Mousse and Escargot are my superstars. There is no need for a further comment on the Onion Soup, you’ll know what I mean when you have it.Trout Almondine is in a perfect balance of citrus and nutty combination. Fish cooked so right that yhe skin was super crunchy while the meat was still soft and juicy. Before dessert, there was a nice and subtle grapefruit sorbet as a palate cleanser. On the sweet side, Rice pudding is super delicious but noting can beat their Creme Brûlée.I’m telling you, don’t be cheap, order as much dishes as you can and try most of the menu!
