Paul Broucek: Old Style was recommended to me a decade ago and I have been going to Reuben ever since with my various guitar strays and more mainstream guitars. People have commented that it’s the hip Silverlake spot. It’s not about being hip. It’s just unassumingly cool and Reuben is a prince of gentle chill. Thank you. 5 stars+

The tenor guitars are cool but it would be nice to see some appropriate oldstyle basses. Maybe a even a few mutes or sponges specify for basses. Just a though.Anyway, I will be back to pick up a guitar. Love the shop!
Cory McConnell: I used to live in the neighborhood and I always enjoyed swinging by and seeing the instruments they have here. Came through on a whim today and ended up leaving with one of their signature rubber-bridge builds. Thomas and Reuben are great- they talked me through a few different models, and they were patient while I took time to play them. Excited to record with my new OS guitar, and excited for future trips to the shop.

Mark was extremely knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect guitar that would be easy to play, smaller in size, stay in tune and sound good. EveningCrow: Beautiful shop!Stopped by to check out some guitars. When I showed up they already had the models I was interested in set up for playing. Had a tuner and picks available, and the guitars had fresh strings on them. I was told to let them know if I had any questions or wanted to check out any other instruments. After some back and forth between guitars, I decided on one of their custom Martin 000-15M. There was no rush or pressure. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Their stock is very impressive!Just make sure to set up an appointment in advance and let them know what models you're interested in.

B: These guys are quick, fairly priced, and care about instruments. I will be coming here for every set up I need in the future, even despite the drive from Hollywood. Too many music stores around here are impersonal and leave me feeling like I didn't get the best service. This isnt a guitar center, so dont expect to walk in and have some fun without buying anything. They're serious which means they are serious about their work! A+

Jacques Cousteau: One of the last mom and pop instrument stores in los angeles. Just like guitar center and its clean enough to eat off the floor. Place is very very clean. Be patient they only have so many people working. Talk with Jesus he helped me get an Arturia 8pre. Also they do lay away as an artist that is sometimes helpful to secure gear fyi. Also good people in this place will be back 100%
