Jacob Biel: These guys finished an OIC for me and made a 6 figure debt disappear to $100. I qualified, they did the paperwork. Mostly great service. No complaints. 5 stars. I hire them for my father who is disabled and ignored bogus taxes with wrong property tax information to make a 200k tax nearly disappear.. still waiting-- low response rate and no push to the IRS or communication with me-- I always have to be the one to reach out.. no worries, this is relatively normal.. I hope it gets done soon, but I'm honestly not counting on it..I pay for 8 years of tax returns up front with them to comply with IRS requests to make it easy on me from now til then, but lately.. incompetence. Taxes not done on time, no answers of their landlines, no response to emails.. bad service all around. Marlyn Banuelos needs to be fired-- she literally never responds and can't complete basic tasks on time, a simple tax return unable to be completed-- why!? 7+ emails, 10+ phone calls in the last few weeks. Before that more of the same. Do not come here for your tax needs. I do not recommend, a few years ago? Maybe. There's better competition out there, I'll be moving my tax needs elsewhere. Jonathan is a good guy, but his employees can't hang. Be warned. Frustration lies ahead. They must view me as a low income individual and therefore not worthy of their attention. I have friends here as well, going to encourage they remove themselves as well. My 3 family members included. Discouragingly bad.. yeesh.UPDATE: They came through and helped me to wipe out 200k worth of bogus IRS debt for my father. I found the necessary paperwork, called escrow companies, found the mistake, researched and handed almost full details over to alleviate this matter, but they got the paperwork done and communicated with the IRS on my behalf. Its over, not a bad price to pay. Now we are getting a check instead, not a bad day.

Lara Marie Schoenhals: I first went to Hillhurst Tax Group in May of 2017 to see what could be done about my debts owed to the IRS. I was so stressed out and in deep financial chaos that I honestly felt like I was stuck in a hole I'd never be able to dig my way out of. Over the next year and a half I worked closely with Alex, Raphael, Jonathan and pretty much the entire team at Hillhurst to get my tax debt under control. They submitted an Offer in Compromise to the IRS that was approved right before Christmas of 2018 and they also set up a payment plan with the state of California so that I could pay off my outstanding tax debt over time. I am in such a better place financially thanks to their assistance, and would recommend them to anyone facing the same problems.
