Jean Peters: This is my “home” gym, and it is by far my favorite of the SoCal Equinoxes I’ve visited. Very well laid out. Spacious locker room. I have never run into an issue of cleanliness or broken equipment. Regulars are a mix of professionals working in West LA, with a smattering of grad students and retired folks. Feels fairly low attitude - especially compared to Beverly Hills. Class schedule is pretty robust and the instructors i’ve met have all been excellent. Perhaps most importantly, it’s never really that crowded, while always feeling lively.

Nunya Beznaz: Nice, friendly front desk associates, a cafe that I haven’t tried yet, The Shop has a lot of sales from what I can see.

J D: are strangely rude. I only go to this Equinox if I absolutely must. Not sure if it is the area or west LA in general... I have noticed the further out of west LA, the friendlier the Equinox members are. To be clear: The STAFF at Equinox are A+ and always friendly - everywhere I've encountered.

Jack Hagen: I just completed the 6 week challenge with PLYO and let me just say it was kind of a dream! The instructors were so helpful and went out of their way to build a relationship with you and your goals, while supporting your form.This is not something I saw myself being able to do but I felt so empowered the whole way through. Honestly, I started it somewhat non seriously but once I started to see results, I got very into it.The schedule is flexible, the classes are small enough for individual attention, and the facility rocks. Special shout out to Johnny, Kyle, and Erika for always bringing the energy to class! The music is fun and the environment meets you where ever you're at.Can't believe I'm saying this but I couldn't recommend the team at plyo if you're looking to get in great shape and learn weight lifting form at the same time! Alessandra Mai Vinh: I took part in the their 6 weeks challenge and I highly recommend it. I usually dislike weightlifting. When I work out by myself in the gym I procrastinate and rarely get anything done but here I was motivated by the instructors and other fellow gym members. The instructors are highly qualified and down to earth. My favorites were Erica and Johnny.I took some Plyometrics classes as well and even though they are good I wouldn't take too many of those in a row if you have weak knees.Overall I like Plyo fitness, it's a straight-to-the-point kind of studio, the staff is super sweet and qualified and there's a sense of community that might be lacking in other studios.

Fredrika Schoberth: Plyo fitness is a great gym if you want variation in your workouts. They have weightlifting, HIIT-workouts, meditation and yoga in the same membership. The staff are amazing and super helpful. I always have a great time when I go to the gym and it keeps my motivated to go back.

Lexi Kasofsky: After trying out some other gyms in the area, NOTHING tops this one. The customer service is outstanding. The staff is friendly and happy to be there. The manager Prince really goes above and beyond and created a great gym environment. The gym is CLEAN and organized. It has a ton of windows and is bright in there. There is plenty of equipment to use and not a lot of waiting around during busy times. I really like the gyms atmosphere and genuinely look forward to coming every day. For parking the parking garage is managed on the week days and I have not had any bad experiences. I actually appreciate the designated areas rather than searching around for parking elsewhere.

Jeremy Mathurin: Access to a sauna, pool, volleyball court, and Jacuzzi?! Sold. I really don’t get why this place only has 3.5 stars… yes, it gets packed and the parking can be a little precarious but you are getting great bang for buck here. If you know how to substitute exercises when things are busy, you’ll be more than fine. Even equinox is packed at 5 PM on a Monday… set appropriate expectations and adjust 🤷🏾

The attention to cleanliness, social distancing etc was fantastic, so I felt safe and comfortable there immediately.I had some physical issues causing me pain, primarily acetabular labral tear in my right hip. My doctor suggested muscle strengthening via weight training and I found Lift on a Google search.I have been going once per week and I have been really happy with my progress. I have been getting stronger and am in significantly less hip pain than I was prior to starting. It's challenging in all the right ways and I look forward to going.Dirk and Chenell are both excellent. They are kind, patient and great teachers. I have always found teacher/trainer correction important in yoga and I value the same at Lift, so I'm able to get stronger and not hurt myself. farouq akhdar: I have had several personal trainers throughout my life and my experience with Shawn has, by far, been the best out of all of them. This is because Shawn's approach is far more holistic than simply doing weights and gym training. For life-changing results, there are other, more important factors, like sleep and meditation that need to be explored. Shawn does this unlike other trainers and this is why I have seen better results than with those other trainers. For example, I was able to see my body start taking shape for the first time in my life and lift weights I was previously unable to lift. I also appreciate the fact that Shawn listens and responds well to questions, I am never afraid to ask him questions and this is one of my favorite things about him. steve phillips: After my wife and I retired we sustained what one Doctor prescribed as “Refridgeritus.” Food that was readily available. We thought we were eating “healthy food” and gained a lot of weight and seemed every joint ached with movement. Before Shawn's intervention, I was in and out of hospitals for over 13 years and had 5 heart catheters and 10 stents supplanted into my arteries. My testosterone levels were in the range of 200 and didn’t have a lot of energy and I was on 8 different medications.Since working with Shawn’s program for the past 5 years my testosterone has jumped to 800. That's pretty good for being 70. I lost 43 lbs. and my wife lost 28 lbs. and have never felt better. We have more energy to exercise and more stamina to work out. Olivia Mack: Shawn is more than just a personal trainer/nutritionist... he is a lifesaver. I found Shawn when I was looking for a nutritionist near me that could handle the complexity of my stomach issues. I was 31 years old, 113lbs @ 5'10" and nearly dead. He is super friendly, very down to earth, and great at diagnosing the issues you may have with your workouts and lifestyle.He is super informative, knowledgable, and always has ways to help you with your health goals. I was particularly surprised by how in depth he goes with helping improve my lifestyle. I had a specific issue with getting enough sleep and he really helped pinpoint what was causing the problems, and it has greatly improved.Would highly recommend working with him!

Jasmine Jones: I love this gym! Before the WeHo location opened, I attended the location downtown. This location is much better. I appreciate the layout and how there is always space. The only area that can feel cramped is the free weight station but it’s still much better than the downtown location in my opinion.The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I typically come at opening time and the morning crew is all smiles at 5 am.My only suggestion is to dim the lights by the stair master if possible. The stair master is a pretty tall machine & the lights glare right in your eyes.

Luay Younus: I am not sure what all the negative comments are about. This is honestly one of the best locations for equinox. Towel service, very clean, large space to workout, lots of machines, great instructors, a swimming pool, a cold plunge, a rooftop patio, a spa, a sauna, and a steam room.What else on earth would I want from a gym that this one isn’t offering?Parking though could be free given the high membership cost but I don’t find that a deal breaker for a safe and attached parking lot.

Equinox Downtown LA: what do users think?

David Rambo: that says 444. Gym is on 3rd floor, you can park on level C. PHEW…OK now that that's out of way.Love love this location. Very lowkey crowd, never packed, and cleaning crew works so hard to keep it up, plus beautiful city views throughout. Feels less intimidating than some of the other locations. Definitely smaller, so if you're looking for every piece of equipment under the sun or a pool, try the Hollywood club.

The team cares for its members and illustrates top-notch customer service. The locker rooms and weight floor are exceptionally clean. Moreover, their cardio and weight equipment are highly advanced. This club is worth every penny and as a frequent commuter to Las Vegas, NV for work, I’m begging corporate to build a location there. Thank you Equinox for providing the best experience a club could possibly offer!

Alondra Flores: I like the facility. The front desk is always welcoming. I really enjoy the classes, even though there are minor issues that interfere with having a great workout. After every class it would be really appreciated if they would wipe the studio floor. It can get really sticky in between classes and also slippery in some areas due to sweat, which can become a safety issue.

Alexa Flores: Overall, a great place for self care. There are minor issues in the facility. In the women’s dressing room, I would rate the showers 3 stars. I understand the gym can get a bit busy but they are not as clean as they should be. Most of the time people leave behind trash. The sauna & steam room are most of the time under repair. The sound system in the studio room lacks as well. Sometimes you can hear the music through one speaker as opposed to all 4 in the space.
