It seems deceptively tiny from the outside, but the variety and quality of plants, greenery, and landscaping supplies was astonishing and extraordinarily pleasing. Ground cover, flowering, trees, indoor, outdoor, garden, hanging, pots and planters, soils, amendments, and supplies...it's all here and attended by super friendly and helpful staff. The place is busy, parking is tight. The visit is worth it.

We are sohappy with Ms. Pamela the way she has encouraged him to be positive and yearn to succeed. The curriculum is ideal and he is tracing, learning color, letter and number recognition as well as penmanship. We have had bad experiences in the past and would recommend​ any parent who is interested to come see for themselves how great of a school Harvard is.​

Mike Pepin: Harvard is a truly fantastic preschool. My wife and I have so enjoyed our experience with the school since our son started attending a little over a year ago. Our son has grown so much in that time, both in the knowledge he's soaking up, as well as in the "being a good human" department. He's learned how to play well with other kids, to be a better sharer, to be a better eater and basically is getting a pretty good, well-rounded education for a three, almost four-year-old. The teachers are fantastic and are focused on the students in their classrooms. The staff, beginning with Lisa, are all really friendly, and working to give the kids their best every single day. We can't be happier with our experience with Harvard.

Robert Johnston: Harvard preschool and kindergarten is a hidden gem in the Normadie/ Fountain neighborhood. It's hard to entrust your two year old into another's care, but rest assured your little one is in excellent loving hands there! Harvard is run by two generations of an exceptionally wonderful family, with kind gentle teachers, and small class sizes. It's a great introduction to socialization, fun activities, and learning in a calm setting for your little one. I love the shaded outside tables for snacks and lunch, and unseen from the road awesome treelined play area out back. We can't recommend Harvard enough!

We have been part of the family for a 1.5 yrs and the growth I've seen in my daughter is nothing short of amazing. I'm very happy with the curriculum. All of the teachers have decades of experience with a true knack for the gentle care that every child receives at Harvard. We are blessed to have them as our daughter's first step, helping us build and mold her into a well balanced soul.

The owners, who have been there for almost 35 years, come from a rich background of teaching in LA unified schools prior to their preschool.Within the first couple weeks, our boy was writing his name! He was doing homework every day. He does art projects. He learns so much about different cultures, the world around us, music, the human body- they have parades, birthday parties and something that is oh-so important: structure. The list probably goes on much further than that, but he's only been there for two months! They provide lunch and snacks everyday, too, which the little boy was the biggest of fans.Top notch!

Pots, water sprayers, candles, moss, etc. they have a wide variety to choose from. The staff is great! They are always readily available to help you. Very knowledgeable and can give you great recommendations on your home plant decor. Parking can be difficult but there is always somewhere to park.

But within a week, we realized that he was receiving a level of socialization and development help that we never could have provided on our own.Toddler 1 teachers Denise and Brisa are AMAZING! They are a nurturing, warm, and instructive presence for our little guy. The admins, particularly Brenda and Tiffany, were also always a joy to interact with. After about a month, our little guy would make a point to greet each of them at the start of the day. He was able to form so many bonds at Bright Horizons that we know will be key for his future. My son started in the Infant 2 Classroom when he was 6 1/2 months. I had a very difficult time with the transition and I loved that BHSF let me completely decide when I felt comfortable leaving his for the first time. So, I essentially spent three weeks sitting in the classroom every day watching the teachers and children interact and what I observed made me 100% confident in our decision to enroll at BHFS. First, I was amazed at how calm the teachers were regardless of what was going on. They handle difficult/stressful situations with ease and really remain level-headed and focused on what they need to do. These teachers have eyes and ears everywhere! Second, I loved seeing the children engage with each other. Even though they are still young, they do learn how to co-exist and I can see them watching and learning from each other. I would not trust leaving my son with anyone else other than the wonderful women at BHFS.

Two of my plants are sadly dying so I called them to ask if they would take a look at them and they said they would be happy to help me, I went in and they gave me advice free of charge. When I first arrived I accidentally went to a different nursery that's next door - they were rude and not helpful, they saw that my plants were dying and didn't even offer any guidance. Their loss because they could have converted me into a customer and now I will never shop there - they missed out on me buying a ton of things that I ended up needing. Hashimoto has such an incredible array of succulents, I can't wait to go back. They are the best and now I will only ever go there!

Jane Edwina Seymour: Aptly named, Dream Garden is an oasis in an otherwise awful section of Sunset Blvd. It is very easy to get caught up in all the awesome plants, pots and assorted bits and pieces to do with your garden, both indoor and outdoor. It is tidy and easy to walk around and see everything. A bit on the pricey side but the quality and variety make up for that. Visit if you want incredible pots and wonderful advanced plants for home and garden.

As soon as you walk in, you’re immersed in towering, stunning plants: Bougainvillea, Mandevilla, flowering vines, exotic cacti, stunning trees unlike anything you’d see in the nursery section of the huge chains. There’s even an indoor greenhouse that feels like you’re in the rainforest. And if you need pots or planters, you’ll find a rare selection of some of the finest, high quality items I’ve ever seen.But perhaps what makes this place most special is the owner, John. I rarely write reviews, but because of his knowledge, and his kind nature and excellent customer service, I wanted to take the time to steer others his way. I’ve been gardening all forty years of my life, but in the several months that I’ve been coming to the Dream Garden, I’ve learned so much from him. He’s pointed me to a cutting edge soil that has even my most stubborn plants jumping for joy. He’s taught me proper feeding and watering regimes, and how best to plant certain notoriously tricky plants. As a result, the garden at my music studio is booming and always fetches me compliments-- see pictures below.
