Radio Connection Broadcasting Institute: what do users think?

Warforged Warden: My time spent at Radio Connection was well worth the investment. I've taken online college classes before, and although some teachers I've had have been better than others, none of them could quite emulate the experience of having a one-on-one instructor to help guide me. I really felt like my time was respected in equal measure with the effort I gave my instructor. The advice and skills I've acquired will stick with me long after I've graduated, and I'm happy to know that my teachers are still pushing me to my limits. It's also nice that even though I've completed the program, I'll be able to keep in contact with my instructors.

Ethan: Had a great experience over the 5 months of training. I was paired with a mentor that taught me so much. He was very knowledgeable and someone that I felt comfortable talking to. I could also get in contact with the school itself without any problems. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is interested in radio.

don cosh: I really enjoyed this radio course. It is well-organized with lots of support from Alex and Craig. We got off to a slower start due to our inadequacies with the software but now we are fine with it. We still have some work to do but we'll get it done. Very pleased to be graduating from this course.I like the idea of an open-book quiz because I have test anxiety.

Alexander Roman: Riding my train home after a long day at work, I saw an advertisement for Recording Radio Film Connection with their phone number listed. I thought about it for a few days and then I decided to call to find out more about the program. Gotta say, that call was one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the first call to the last call, everyone at RRFC was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted to help me succeed. I've learn more through this program then I had in 4 years of college. Both of my mentors, Craig Larson and Alex Torres were truly amazing to work with. They gave constructive feedback, taught me the ins and outs of the radio business, and even gave real life lessons that truly helped me grow. The best part is, I was able to find my career passion in radio.I can tell you personally , it is a lot of hard work. But as long as you put in the hours, make it fun, engaging, and open minded to the learning experience your mentors have to offer, you’ll come out the other end of this program with skills, a portfolio of work showcasing your talents, and a deeper understanding of how the radio business works.Even if you are on the fence like I was, do yourself a favor and give Recording Radio Film Connection a call. They have courses in other fields of media and communications besides radio that might interest you. So call Radio Connections today and do it for your future self and the career you’ve been dreaming of having.

Marcus GAMBLE: Radio Connection literally changed my life! Their approach to learning hands on and apprenticing with REAL RADIO professionals at REAL RADIO STATIONS was what stood out to me about them in the beginning and ultimately what led to me landing a job at one of the biggest sports broadcasting companies in one of the biggest cities in the US! Radio connection is the REAL DEAL, the program does EXACTLY what they advertise if u stick to it and work hard! They saved me time of having to attend a four year university and money by having low tuition costs! My Mentor and Academic Facilitator were there with me the whole way through the program and shared over 20 years of experience and knowledge with me that is priceless! Radio Connection is Education Reimagined to help me stay out of debt and get right where all the real magic happens! I strongly suggest anyone who is motivated, and is looking into schools and programs to attend, to come to Radio Connection and never give up on your dreams!

Evelyn Chavie Halpert: I had a great time in this program. Got to share my honest opinions and passions for sports. Alex Solis and Craig Larson were incredible support systems for me.

Antonio Benitez: I was already working in broadcasting prior to enrolling in the program. I enrolled to broaden my scope and get professional help especially with my previous work. After pairing me up with a mentor and academic advisor, I used their knowledge and advice to improve my own work and get ready for a career in broadcasting. I don't want to sound like a robot. My mentor especially was pivotal in the trajectory of my podcast. The advice he gave me was incredible. If you want to enroll and have no experience then they will help you if you're willing to apply yourself.

jose ojeda: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueTwenty weeks of training one on one with a real life professional radio broadcaster. Anything I needed I could ask both Alex and Craig. Tuition is affordable compared to many other schools.

Hayden Schuler: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value

Vonda Broughton: I am very new to this Career. I was totally a Virgin to this World.. Now I am learning things that are so essential in this Pandemic and World changing time. I am so proud that my Mentor Alex was there for me the entire journey. He made sure that I did not drop off or kept my interest at heart. He heard my vision and was glad, maybe even honored, to help me. Help is here for people to make a difference in their life. I am so happy that I finally made that leap of faith and Jumped right IN!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!! Now I am off to the next phase!!

LD Rizzo: The course materials were good. I learned alot from the course and from my mentor.

Amilia Samson: This past week I helped edit and produce a segment for the night show. I researched fun facts for tourist stops along the way that got used on the radio. It's fun doing research projects and learning about the production process of the radio shows.

Diane Freeman: My mentor says I’m improving a lot. I’m working on speaking slower when we record commercials and having better diction. I’m really excited about the work we’re doing.

Liza Chatham: This week I recorded ten Public Service Announcements. I also recorded a weather report. Working with my mentor Sean Tyszler has been an eye opening experience.

Bruno McLaughlin: I just got to run the show by myself. J Boogie, my mentor, went out of town and he left me in charge of the show. I made a playlist, took caller requests, and answered questions on air. It was great.

Richie Moos: Since being in the Radio Connection I’ve started really taking my announcing career more seriously. I’ve been interviewing WNBA athletes for my YouTube channel and I’ve even livestremed some of my interviews.

Kaya Swinford: I got to go to a real radio station for the first time, the other day. My mentor took me to Mix 93.3. I learned so much just from being in a real radio environment. I didn’t realize how many radio interviews were pre-recorded. It’s crazy!

Recording Connection Audio Institute: what do users think?

Sam Zulfer: I work for Recording Connection and have for 5 years now. Since I started at the company they have been nothing but supportive of me and my efforts to improve our educational offerings. We work to provide the best opportunity for students that we can and many of my past students have gone on to get great jobs in the industry and have also produced amazing pieces of music. We are aware of the negative reviews you may find but like any other school some people are unable to truly take advantage of what we offer. Our school is not a transaction of money for knowledge but an exchange of money for an opportunity to succeed. We do everything we can to set our students up for success but if they are unable to take advantage of that opportunity that blame falls on us many times. I do not blame anyone for this as the industries we are setting our students up to succeed in are not for everyone. I just ask that if you are considering our school, do not let someone else's opinion inform your decision. Reach out to us and we will set you up to succeed as well!

Steve Altman: I went to Albuquerque three weeks ago to shoot a short film with my friend, Dan Grochowski. Turns out he'd done a few projects at a studio called EditHouse...which is where we shot our film.CUT TO: Me editing as we speak. The whirlwind of that shoot at EditHouse went by so fast there wasn't any time to conceive how magical and beautifully everything came together in that single day. From lights to camera to action and beyond, every one these folks were spot on, eager to please and as professional as anything I've ever seen in Hollywood. And as a family owned operation for decades, it makes you wish every place in life was as accommodating, friendly and wonderful to be around. Thank you so much Ed, for a truly memorable experience. Can't wait to see y'all at the screening! Steve Altman

Kyle Connon: My Review of the Artist and Producer ProgramKyle ConnonSo I just completed the artist and producer program with RRFC and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. I worked with two fellow producers who are, my academic facilitator Sam Zulfer and my mentor Lance “Blaqout” Dean. Both were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, I feel like I gained two friends during this process. With the help from my mentor Lance I gained knowledge on how to navigate thru the intimidating part of the music industry, and all about branding yourself which was something I had never thought of. On top of that his extensive knowledge with using Abletons being able to show me anything I couldn’t understand or figure out was explained and shownn to me, also helped me hookup my own hardware and sync it thru my DAW . Sam my facilitator was the person I spent most of my time with meeting with him 3 times a week via zoom. I couldn’t be happier being linked up with him, Sam along with his extensive and impressive background in audio engineering and studio productions, and impressive knowledge in Ableton, was able to help my productions go from something I didn’t wanna show people to having songs on all major streaming apps and a catalogue of new tracks waiting to be picked up by record labels. He showed me how to turn my music into professional quality tunes. What to hear for in Eqing frequencies knowing what is causing the problem and fixing it. Anything from how to make my melodies more catchy to the tweaks needed to be made in the mastering process. On top of doing all this also sharing back n forth with both Sam and Lance music that we like with one another and just talking music was amazing. So I will highly recommend this school and course to anyone. Thank you to Lance and Sam for your time and effort and for actually giving a damn, and thank you too everyone at RRFC anyone I delt with was very helpful and extremely polite and friendly.

MALIKTHEGAUD: Recording Connection has been a great learning experience for me and made me a better audio engineer within the past six months. My mentor and academic advisor helped me out a great deal. This program have changed my life and given me a strong step forward in this industry.

Tony Holloman: My experience with RRFC has been nothing less than elevation within my musical journey. As a musician, it helped transform my approach of music from playing to actual production, arrangements and sonically sound finished product. I would recommend anyone novice or pro to take this course to gain a better understanding of what it takes to have studio grade music by working with and getting hands on experience with highly experienced producers and sound engineers within a studio setting to grasp all the nuances and details of what is used for each musical element and why.

Philip Plazewski: This course was exactly what I was hoping to find when I first began looking for programs that could instruct and train me in audio production. The info given is very detailed and you are provided with mentors along the way who are willing to help you at any stage in your journey as musician or audio engineer. the highest of recommendations to anyone who is interested in learning audio production or sound design regardless of whether you are a beginner or having been producing for years

DZ: Taking the course definitely expanded my knowledge in things especially protools having never worked in it but diving into it with the help of my mentor made it smooth sailing. I was already well versed in production and recording for many years so I felt many things wouldn't be news to me but I still ended up learning a lot and I'm looking forward to connecting with people and opportunities this can present for me.

Christopher Handy: Alex Solis is the man. We got along from the moment we spoke. He always pushed me to do my best, even when I was unsure of myself. He is an excellent engineer and is very knowledgeable in his field. As a great academic advisor, he truely deserves this 5/5. 🚀🤟🏻

Khoi Vinh: It's really good environment, My mentor is Mike, he shows me cool crazy things in his Eravox Studio that it takes a long time for me to know if I did not meet him. Also outside the studio, School has people to help you with everything you need in music industry, I luckily meet Alex has helped me improve my mixing skills. RRFC will open the door and show you how to improve your skills and your knowledge, just be ready and put into work

Michael Davis: This had definitely been a transformative experience for me in how I produce/mix my music and how I hear music! It has taken my skill set to a whole new level and my creativity has blossomed. My understanding of the industry and my perception of my own abilities have grown tremendously.

Saturn Parker: This is my second time editing my review. The first was a great one, the second was a bad one. After careful consideration, I would just like to say the way you feel about this music school depends on what you expect to get out of it. In the creative arts, there will likely be struggles and frustrations, and if you have to vent those, then vent, but don't let that have the final say. What I can tell you with confidence is that in the 6 months it takes to graduate, you should be able to develop a course of direction for where you can go with your abilities, and a better understanding of what it takes to better yourself as a talent.

Diego Aure: Great learning experience. You will get to work and learn from professionals.

kaleb Bunyard: I really enjoyed my experience with Recording Connection, from the Material it provides to the mentors you have access to, and if your looking to get a foot in the door of audio engineering this program is really helpful.

Ethan Osgood: learning environment that a traditional four-year college would struggle to achieve. With a student-to-mentor ratio as low as theirs, it really makes any personal roadblocks you stumble across in the curriculum so much easier to address. RRFC mentors also have real experience in the industry, which helped me as a student understand certain materials that were covered from a different perspective.

Adam P: Joining this program was the best decision I ever made. Having previously attended a university to study audio but dropping out after 2 years due to cost and many other factors, RRFC was everything I had been hoping to gain from an education on sound. I was able to spend an incredible amount of time in a professional studio learning its ins-and-outs and working on recording and mixing techniques. My mentors were all immensely helpful and informative. I would recommend RRFC to anybody looking for this sort of education.

Ranellesa Zizi: Going through the Pro Tools Audio Engineering program has really been an amazing experience! I have been able to learn so much and meet such great mentors to lead me on my path to success. I am so confident that I will be successful in the musical industry because of the knowledge I’ve acquired through RRFC.

Kao Yang: Great school to work with, it was great getting paired with a studio/mentor along side going through the lessons

KJLH Radio: what do users think?

Dakota Braze: I was invited to be apart of the Black History Month recognizing our historical black figures through reading for radio playback. My children were welcomed and the few employees there at the time we went were very kind.

Mary Dyer: I love this Radio station, Which is owned by Stevie Wonder. I won a prize and I made a visit to pick it up. They are for the community. The receptionist was fantastic! She represented the station well. The DJ, Guy Black was playing the best music and keeping it real. He was stepping in for my Girl Ms Tami Mac, who can never be replaced. Their call letters say it all. KJLH, Kindness, Joy, Love and Happiness 😊 Thank you Stevie Wonder ❤️💛🙏🏽

Paulette Dunn-Sanders: My FAVORITE RADIO STATION!! 💞💖💞

KimiRhochelle Porter: Always a great time taking clients @kimirhochelle @krprmedia

Kenisha “Neche Gyrl” Norwood: They helped make Christmas special for my family and I!! Gifts galore!! Thank You KJLH!

AGREON D. DULA (LIONESSE): I enjoy KJLH I have been listening for many years I love the Steve Harvey Morning Show✨🌟

Dywanna Drummer: I just love the team @ Steve Harvey morning show. Complete fools that have me in tears every single morning.

Judy A: KJLH is the best. Stevie Wonder is a genius as we know and his station and the DJ's set the radio standard

yvette Rodriguez: When I first moved to Los Angeles, Ca. the one radio station I would always listen to was kjlh. You guys really put it down. I have to give a special shout out to Mr. Kevin Nash, no other radio personality does it like Kevin, especially the morning show he had on in 2008.I've noticed that KJLH is trying to stay current with the times, I get it, but, PLEASE stay true to the original old school music too.If the listeners want current hip-hop trash we know where to go to get that. Okay, maybe that was a little too harsh, but you guys are the only radio station left in L.A. that real music lovers can count on. 1047 FM in San Diego is great but the reception is not the best.We real music lovers are counting on KJLH to keep REAL MUSIC alive. Kevin, come back to the morning time slot, it was the highlight of the day for real music lovers that know MUSIC.Much love and keep up the good work guys.PeaceYvette Rodriguez

B Kal: Love this non-profit station that has been around like forever a long time...Lots of variety, music from all over the world...For longest time it has been tradition at home to listen to D.J. Leonardo De Anda: The best community support radio station.. Specifically Thursdays night from 10pm to midnight 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Michael Taylor Gray: I host IMRU Radip Magazine, the world's longest running LGBT+ program, broadcasting Out Loud and Out Proud at KPFK 90.7FM in Los Angeles since 1974!
