Ryan: Frank's the man

Kyle Billingsley (Master Kyle Billingsley): Great community and fun roller hockey, my kids have been playing here for 5 years and they love it. Wish the city would put in a little money to redu the boards, but they are still good enough.

Del Harrison: Went to my homegirl’s 70’s themed place. It was lit. Parking was great. Spacious. Bathroom available. Loved it. Very convenient to my house.

David Gross: Floor is a little grippy but once you get used to it it's like butter. Your moves will be slow and low like yo momma.

Mar Vista Roller Hockey Rink: what do users think?

el rrorro: Good

Dmitriy B: Well maintained rink with lots of nice skaters and hockey players. Always a fun time.

Jeffrey Perlman: Home rink is always great! Jon does a phenomenal job at managing and keeping everyone happy. Tuesday is Novice. Wednesday is better and Monday night is for the best of the best roller hockey players.

Christopher Serna: Sry Uxbridge I have been ⚂ for ⚄ and am very happy about this

Jay Pi: Fun experience

Stephen Iwanyk: So happy that the city of Los Angeles has roller hockey going again at Mar Vista after COVID. Between the pickup hockey and the actual Mar Vista league, there's a lot of activity and opportunity to play, the hockey community is really supportive and cool, and it feels like the quad skaters and recreational skaters who use the rink really love it too. This is a great local resource to have, and I have to give huge props to Jon Stein, who runs the league there, for working tirelessly to keep hockey alive there.Hope we get a youth league going so I can get my kids playing.

Lorenna Taylor: Nice clean park

Jon Douglas: very cool

Diego Brito: Cool

Josephine Roberts: Smooth surface, good lighting and nearby parking. Nice to have a rink at a park!

Kata Gn: A place to roller skate. I was looking for a rink to practice in Culver City and this is it. Unfortunately you don’t have so many opportunities but it’s understandable. Kids have there hockey lessons.

Claire Elise: Cute dudes being all athletic what else can you ask for?

Carla Dorsey: Only place in LA to roller skating⛸️. This park offers so much. A new discovery. Is there another park that offers ice hockey 🏒 rink. It's so amazing what some are offered while others are left with zero options. Mmmm.

Tom Berg: Clean and fun!

BRIAN STEVEN BANKS: cool

Holiday Ice Rink: what do users think?

Yulia Ocheretyanaya: It was super nice but of course super busy.

Belen Robles: I came here 12/23. I had a really fun time with my little brother here. I was worried because I read reviews that said the ice wasn’t tended to, but it didn’t end up being hazardous. There were some slits in the ice after people skated in some spots often enough, but I’m sure that’s to be expected. Employees are friendly and there’s vendors so you can buy snacks and drinks. I was worried about being cold, but it ended up being warm with all the bodies and movement. The skates are included in the ticket, which is awesome. The only cons would be that there is a $10 tax fee with the ticket, parking, and the lockers only open once with a token. Would recommend it here though 😊

Davit Isahakyan: Great place to visit. I am not on any team but I can tell that this is a very professional and a well developed place for any pros out there. I went on the public skate this winter and I am impressed. Great place with kind staff who are willing to help. There are also these blue seals that you can purchase for twenty dollars which help you ride easier if you are a beginner. I also recommend you buy tickets in advance so you don’t risk not getting in. There aren’t unlimited tickets as I know.

Alan S.: lot as the bowling and other Pickwick places nearby. The public skates can be really crowded here, and they allow teenagers to push each other around on seals, which can sometimes get out of hand. The rink is huge

Oy: Nice place. Spacious

azalea !!: My FAVORITE ice skating rink by FAR!! Amazing coaches, pretty decent rental skates, the ice is almost always manageable. It does get a little crowded sometimes, but I would HIGHLY reccomend it for anyone who wants to ice skate, especially for the first time!

LA Kings Valley Ice Center: what do users think?

Avril And Me: Loved it just didn't want to go already. WONDERFUL

Rachael J.: This was my first time going to this rink. I like that the name is on the building in big letters, easy to spot. It has its own parking lot but it’s kinda small. Google says street parking is tough in the area and I can see that. There are two skating surfaces inside. A front rink and a back rink. Public skating was on the back rink when I went. Hockey in the front. I was there during the week in the afternoon, so the ice wasn’t crowded and it was smooth.Word to the wise, this rink is cold!! I know how to dress for the weather and for ice skating and I needed gloves and another layer here. The only other rink I’ve been to that was really cold like this one was Iceland in Van Nuys. Definitely coming back just wearing more layers. They’re doing construction in foyer but they’re open.

Connor (ctg_v3): Amazing, the practices are precise, the coaches are strict and they push their students to the top! I had a great time and recommend this place for everybody.

Babak Missaghian: Always fun here love ice skating

Derby Dolls: what do users think?

Sheh Yen Ear: Jr derby classes are GREAT!

Maxfield Rosenzweig: The Coach for varsity brawlers has the best coach slacks ever

Betty Fraser: Such a fun night!

Michael Herrera: Excellent way to spend a Saturday night. Food truck, a cold beer, and banked track roller derby!

Jim Au: I grew up watching the likes of the LA Thunderbirds on TV, so the idea of roller derby has been in my mind a long time. Now I can say that I've seen it with my own eyes, although now this is a legitimate women's league that doesn't feature any of the theatrics that I loved seeing on TV. This is hard hitting roller derby on a banked track with an adoring audience screaming in support. It was a lot of fun. Due to the popularity with the fans, tickets are hard to come by, and health restrictions are in effect. Still, this was very entertaining, and I'm happy to see that roller derby is still alive in LA. [Update 10/16/2022] The health restrictions have been eased slightly, although you still need to show either proof of vaccination or a recent negative test. Masks are optional, but having a good time watching women's roller derby is inevitable. I had a great time here!

Kirsten Hudson: The junior classes are amazing and the bouts are fun fun fun.

Victoria Jaen: I skate with the derby dolls and they are very sweet and amazing and if you go to derby camp you can learn to do more stuff like I did!!:D

Bénédicte Pellerin: For Rollers Derby Aficionados... Being a former player and referee, I couldn't miss a Derby match with the LA team. Especially when we know that the track was that of the film Bliss.A magical moment 🤩🤩

Jack Lamb: We had a blast with our adult siblings, our teenage son and his cousins. We knew nothing of the sport going into it, and in 2 hours figured out enough of the basics to really enjoy the competitive and raucous finish. Beer and wine are reasonable. As are the junk food snacks. The announcers were great, strong on calling the match bit also funny and clean banter. The fake sponsor spots are hilarious. A different type of entertainment. We loved it.

LA’s Roller Skating Lessons: what do users think?

AdeRonke Adeyemi: Coach Joseph is extremely patient. Listen to his pointers! So much fun!!

Janice Smith: . Coach JC really was supportive and built on what he saw I could do. I learned a lot in one session and cant wait to book another session after I practice the tips and tricks he showed me today!

Edlena Wofford: My daughter and I had a great experience with JC during our first skating lessons. My intention in booking the lesson was to have a mother and daughter activity that we could enjoy together. And I couldn’t be happier with our first lesson. JC was friendly, provided clear instructions, was extremely patient and reassuring. He even managed to keep a moody teenager engaged with his gentle words of encouragement. I will definitely book another lesson and I encourage others to book as well.

Alisha Henderson: Omg Coach J.C. is amazing! My boyfriend and I are taking beginner skating lessons, and after only 2 lessons, we are skating better and with more confidence than we ever have! He teaches skating in an easy way, encouraging you and supporting you as you learn. His lessons build upon each other and he teaches you stylistic skills so you can feel cool while skating too! It’s so worth the time and money. With Coach J.C. I know we will be one of those pros skating down in Santa Monica and Venice soon enough!

Thomas Dee Homes - REAL ESTATE CENTRAL: We met up at Montebello City Park and Joseph was really nice and patient with our toddlers. You already knew he had prior experience with kids so it definitely helped our kids to have more confidence and still have fun. Thanks Joseph!

Lauren McDaniel: My kids and started skating a few months ago and were looking for a way to level up. Jc and his coworker were very nice. We heard about this place on insta and drove 3 hours to attend. They did not dissapoint. Jc worked with each of us individually and assessed our different levels and needs. He taught all of us tips that helped solidify our cross-overs, even with all of us skating differently and on different types of skates. The class size was small and informative. I wish I lived closer bc we would be here every week working towards our goals. I will still make the drive again. Highly recommend them! ❤️

Stephanie Salazar: I really enjoyed my first lesson with Coach JC. Very patient and encouraging as an adult learning how to roller skate for the first time.

crystal garibay: . I left our lesson feeling super excited to apply what I learned and overall feeling more confident in my abilities.Coach J.C. was very accommodating and flexible when coordinating the date/time

Judy Estrada: I give LA roller skating five stars because it was an amazing and fun experience I would recommend to any beginner that wants to learn to skate. The lesson will be worth it and you will gain the proper skills and guidance. I loved my skating lesson with J.C at Montebello park he was very patient and after the session I felt much more confident. Thank you so much!

Angela Ribeiro: My kids loved their first skating lesson with JC! He is AWESOME with the kids...his instruction is top-notch yet fun. Will def be doing more lessons!!

Betsy Floyd: Our private lesson was so much fun! JC did a great job with my partner and I, who are at different skating levels. We felt more confident by the end and had a great time.

Kono's The Harshmallows: It was a beautiful day in sunny Burbank, and coach JC found the perfect place for my wife and I’s private lesson. We’re both nervous beginners, but JC eased us in and met with our levels. He gave us very clear instructions with demonstration and fed us more information as he gauged our progress. Only an hour later, we left feeling a lot more comfortable and confidence on our skates and even tried some simple tricks! We highly recommend JC’s class, especially if you’re looking for some fun couple activities in LA!

Steven Klein: + two kids

Morgan Yang: Great class! Learned lots in one lesson!

Tanaz H H: I had an incredible experience learning to skate with Josef. His expertise and patience made the sessions enjoyable and productive. His attention to detail and personalized guidance significantly improved my skills. The coach created a supportive and encouraging environment, which boosted my confidence on wheels. I highly recommend Josef to anyone looking to learn or improve their roller skating abilities. Thank you for such an amazing learning experience!

JC Lirio: Joined the Friday LA River trail with LARollerskatinglessons, and what a great way to learn and build confidence skating outdoors! As always, JC was very helpful in sharing techniques that makes skating easy and fun!

Lisa Marie Evans: JC was an awesome skate instructor, highly recommend. We went over lots of tips and had a great ride on the LA river.

Shannon Ye: We are very grateful that we found coach JC! My son is on the spectrum and coach JC has been great with my son! Coach JC is patient and kind. He is very experienced and finds ways to motivate my son and keep him challenged. We would 100% recommend coach JC!

Bernice Bernardo: It was a blast taking roller skating lessons with Coach JC.He introduced a lot of techniques and explained them in a way that was easy to grasp and I felt comfortable even as a beginner. He broke down each maneuver into manageable steps, ensuring that I fully understood and could execute them.It was my first time at the LA river bike path which I think was a perfect location that offered a perfect blend of challenges. Not only did I learn invaluable skating skills, but I also had an absolute blast doing it. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it turned what could have been just a lesson into a genuinely enjoyable time and I’m already looking forward to taking more lessons with Coach “JC”.
