Glenn B. Pfeffer, MD: what do users think?

Kyle Greenville: I traveled from Maryland to have my right ankle reconstructed by Dr. Pfeffer. I am 4 months post op now and my foot is stronger and less painful than before the surgery. I cannot recommend Dr. Pfeffer enough. He is an amazing doctor.

Caitlin Groll: I recently had foot surgery for haglunds syndrome on my heel and I cannot rate this doctor high enough! He is a very straight forward doctor so if you're more softspoken or used to more soft spoken doctors, be ready for some great feedback in a very straightforward but friendly manner! Have your questions written down so you don't forget to ask! He is an absolutely phenomenal surgeon! I've had other surgeries and never had such a fabulous recovery time and result! My other surgeries weren't orthopedic related so difficult to compare but I am so incredibley impressed. My mom had the same surgery years ago in our hometown in the Central Valley of California. The local surgeon totally botched it and so my mom found dr. Pfeffer out of desperation. When she went for her surgery on her heel, not only was he able to fix it, my mom made a full and fabulous recovery! I followed her path and went to dr. Pfeffer even though it's a 6 hour drive to get to him. WORTH EVERY SECOND AND PENNY!!! He truly is passionate about what he does and it shows!! I had my surgery February 13 2019. Two weeks in a splint which was the worst part because the splint is super uncomfortable and heavy. Nothing anyone can do about that, however, I was only on prescription pain pills for 3 days and nights and then Tylenol for 2-3 days and then nothing needed after!! Then you have the normal cast, boot progression. Just follow your directions! But my pain was so low! That's how amazing he is! He is so clean and precise in his movements that there is so little tissue damage or trauma, if any. That means a wayyyyy faster recovery pain-wise. My surgery sight still had a little soreness as to be expected but I've been just walking for a little over 2 weeks now. I can tell my life is changed. I had a more serious case than originally thought and could barely walk before I saw him due to extreme pain. I am stubborn and don't like to look weak so I tried to downplay it. He is such a high-skilled dr that he still could tell it needed surgery and he absolutely blew me away with how well it went! Seriously, I can't reccomend him enough. You guys, I barely even have a scar. People can't even tell! It was like a 3 inch incision down the side of my heel. You can barely tell! That wasn't really important to me but a nice added bonus! This guy is legit and so is his staff! If you are on here to find a dr.. you can stop looking!! Go to him! My life is changed! DR. PFEFFER ROCKS!

susan maxwell: Dr Pfeffer did a complete reconstruction of my boyfriends ankle. It was amazing to see how he could repair it and help him walk again! We had been to numerous specialists with no luck or hope. Dr Pfeffer changed all that! The recovery was great and I have to say that there was minimum to NO pain! The surgery and recovery went so smooth. Thank you Dr Pfeffer for giving my boyfriend Dale his life back! I knew the first time you spoke to us that he was in good hands! You are a truly dedicated Dr/ Surgeon!

Paul Giordano: Hello Yelp World...My name is Paul Giordano a former patient of Doctor Glenn Pheffer...back in the summer of 2007 i fell out of truck and shattered my ankle and severed my Achilles tendon ...to make a long story short the surgery went horribly wrong and i ended up with a open wound on the back of my ankle the size of dollar bill...i could actually see the tendon. After that and three surgeries later i still had a open wound and came so close to actually loosing my foot...i cant even tell you how many wound care doctors i saw that couldn't fix me...so the last wound care Doctor i saw in 2015 told me about this Doctor by the name of Glenn Pheffer that i should see..i said to myselfWhy not ...what do i got to lose maybe my foot..lol On more serious note when i met Doctor Glenn Pheffer there's was just something about him that made me feel that this was the Doctor that i had been searching for 8 years. On my first consultation with the Doctor...he said what took you so long to find me ? I knew right then i found the right Doctor...Thanks again Doctor for fixing me!

Joseph Lee: . My left ankle was severely dislocated as well. This happened to me during a 1968 car accident at the age of sixteen. I was taken to Medical College of Virginia hospital. Thank God the emergency crew decided to take me to MCV instead of the closer local hospital. My ankle has caused me pain since then. With youth on my side I was able to pretty much ignore the pain until the mid-nineties. My thinking was to never have any type of surgery unless necessary. I started seeing a very reputable orthopedic surgery in Whittier, CA. Each one of the first three cortisone shots in my ankle relieved my pain for about two years each shot. Then the shots started lasting about eighteen months each. Then the next cortisone shots each lasted about a year for the next ten years. Then six months, three months, and my final cortisone shot only relieved my pain for ten minutes. My orthopedic surgeon referred me to ankle specialist. When I asked the ankle surgeon about an ankle replacement he stated they were very complex and done rarely. He recommended an ankle fusion which would relieve my pain. Asking for a second opinion I was referred to an ankle specialist at USC. After a through examination he stated I was a good candidate for either an ankle fusion or an ankle replacement. The USC ankle specialist referred me to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Fortunately for me, in November 2014 my insurance company referred me to Dr. Glenn Pfeffer.Dr. Pfeffer is a perfectionist. I felt comfortable with him immediately. Upon through examination of my ankle Dr. Pfeffer stated an ankle replacement would best for me due to the immobility in my heel. From my own research I discovered ankle replacements were done in the early seventies however, they had such high failure rate ankle replacements were not done after the late seventies. Doctors started doing ankle replacements again in the nineties with new procedures that were successful. Dr. Pfeffer operated with an even newer procedure which had only been being done for the previous eighteen months. This procedure was less evasive and took less time to heal.In addition to my ankle being out of place there was another complication with my deformed leg. The compound fracture left my tibia and fibula no longer perpendicular to my knee or ankle areas like a normal ankle. Due to this complication it would be difficult to align my ankle replacement vertically to the center of my leg’s weight bearing area. Do to the complexity of my situation Dr. Pfeffer consulted with several doctors. These doctors agreed with Dr. Pfeffer’s analysis. It is coming up on three and a half years since Dr. Pfeffer successfully replaced my ankle. This is first time in forty years I can walk pain free. Due to this successful operation I can take my two young grandsons to the park. As you know a three and four-year-old will keep you running. Thanks to my ankle replacement I can keep up with them.If anyone reading this has been putting off ankle surgery due to complexities in your situation I highly recommend Dr. Pfeffer.

Michelle Haley: WOW, what an amazing year our family has had post surgery with Dr Pfeffer.I have so many great things to say about the man and talented Dr Glenn Pfeffer. Our entire family feels like we owe our lifestyle, our livelihood and future completely to him.First a little background...surgery like this is a life altering event...choose wisely! As if your LIFE depends on it, because it does.Years ago, I thought I had done great research for my husbands elbow and we went with a surgeon in Newport Beach...supposedly the best in his field and he destroyed my husbands arm. He was rude, abrasive, dismissive and had a monster ego. My husband got a raging infection with streaks running to his lymph nodes and dr refused to acknowledge it...our hometown hospital had to treat it. Follow ups were a joke and we were discarded the minute insurance payment was final. My husbands arm went from frying pan into the fire. To this day every surgeon tells us that its now too far gone and the surgery compounded all of our issues. At least with his arm, we have all learned to work around the limitations, but with an entire foot to rebuild, we had ZERO room for error or accepting less than the most excellent surgeon there is.Forward to the foot: a few years ago on a NYC vacation, walking 20 miles a day, my husbands congenital out-turned flat foot suddenly collapsed ...tearing thru the main ligament. When we realized the severity of the operation , fear was through the roof. Every doctor lacked confidence, or was over confident and removed, like somehow, our outcome was going to be what it was... we needed to accept that life would be different now. Oh my God no.and then.... DR PFEFFER!!! We love this guy.Our mad scientist genius!! He gave us hope, infused us with confidence, and made us feel GENUINELY cared for.My husband is a paramedic in San Diego and is on his feet 24/7 and also always at the gym.Dr. Pfeffer took one look at my husband and said, "This man is an athlete, and I WILL make him whole...we wont accept any less!"Are you kidding me?! Dr P had all scans done that day and explained in great detail everything wrong with the foot and essentially he would need to rebuild with cadaver bone, save damaged muscle by doing a gastrocneuius recession and tendon transfer, and column lengthening w/ possible screws... now, we should have been freaking out, but he instilled his contagious explosive excitement in my husband and I both.Dr Pfeffer LOVES his job and he LOVES his abilities and LOVES a challenge..this man is a badass.Surgery...... then postop.Dr P. showed up after surgery asap and filled me in on my husbands progress. Every follow up in office was unrushed and detailed, like he was meeting old high school friends... we LOVED seeing him and the confidence he instilled during a difficult healing process. He talked to us in time lines of expectations that were ridiculously accurate. When we worried about pain or swelling or nerves....he was so cavalier and knowledgeable, I swore he was just trying to push off the fact we might have to live with the issues and in time we will eventually accept it.Nope. Like clockwork, his time windows would come up and just like he said...nerve pain stopped...then aches...and the swelling too....at 10 months my husband was 95%Dr Pfeffer gave my husband his future , he gave ME my husband... and my sons his whole dad. My husband was back at work on his feet at 9 months post op. We are back on our family vacations...my husband heaves me up in the air and carries me around again, he races his 15 year old son, and we all owe it to one amazing surgeon.THANK YOU Dr Glenn Pfeffer for sharing your genius with the world and changing so many lives.Your love of your career , drive to be the best and to never give up shows and has made you THE leader in your field. We speak of you often Dr Pfeffer, and with great respect.~Mr and Mrs Haley~

Lawrence Diener: Dr. Pfeffer is excellent, wise and listens to what you say and figures out who you are. THEN recommends a course of treatment. I had torn tendons in my ankle which others had said were 90% unlikely to heal without surgery. Surgery + 9 weeks of no load + 8 weeks of PT before I would walk again. Dr. Pfeffer figured that I would listen to him and behave intelligently - if not quite to the letter of his instructions - and he put me in a cast for a month. "A real 85% probability that you'll heal enough to walk and you'll be fine in 3 months if you're careful." He was right! And he explained the mechanics and biology of what we were trying to accomplish. He accurately determined that I'd do my own research as soon as I felt limited by the cast, and instead, he gave me all the information I'd need - to make the contrary to his instructions decisions - in a way that wouldn't ruin my care. Thanks for trusting me Doc! I trust you!

joann longoria: Dr. Pfeffer is a fantastic Doctor and brilliant surgeon! The staff is warm and friendly.

Jocelyn Smith: Dr. Pfeffer is a very good doctor/surgeon. He listens to what you say to him about your problem. He asks pertinent questions that show he is thoughtful about the issue. He does not rush in and rush out of the exam room. When he gives you a course of action for healing he makes sure you understand. He does not get impatient if you ask questions. I rate him thumbs up in every aspect of his exam procedures, a very caring doctor.

Laura Gutierrez: My experience has been nothing short of amazing with Dr Pfeffer and his staff. I have suffered for years with botched surgeries, false hope and expectations, but now ive got real hope and great progress has been made with both feet, they feel better everyday and i know that my future looks great. Thank you again dr pfeffer from the bottom of my heart❤

Laurie Gutierrez: My experience with dr Pfeffer has been amazing. I went to see him in dec of last year for my feet that i had had surgery on 3x's prior to finding him, my feet were probly one of the more difficult cases but he took on the challenge and i had my 4th surgery in feb, although more pain then you can imagine he did an amazing job, after 4 short months i can truly say he did it!!! My right foot looks and feels better than it has in about 7yrs!! For that i say thank you from the bottom of my ❤. Stay tuned ill be having surgery on my lft foot in august!!!.....

Romberg Milling: what do users think?

Dimon Denver: For Truck Drivers, fast unloading, super professional, overnight parking available on the street.

paola huezo: I hope this place stays here for ever. It's refreshing how it sits in the middle of the city but it gives you old town vives. Great product and for those few petty people complaining about service, it's not a diamond store, these are hard working people. if they don't roll out the red carpet, get over it people.

Illya Drutskyy: For truckers delivering hay cubes. Even if you come from Minnesota Ave they're gonna ask you to go around the block and back into the building right from the street. It's not too tight and the guy will be helping you.Once you backed into the building they'll ask you to slide your tandems, and unhook the trailer cause they'll need to lift it up. Unloading is gonna take around 1hour.

Abubakar Ahmadzai: Checked in at 6:20 out by 6:40 great guys very respectful of drivers time

bowdoin swenson: Romberg Milling is a great place to purchase livestock and equestrian needs. Great selection of quality hay, grain, and supplements at a fair price. The folks there are most helpful and pleasant to work with. I have been associated with them for many years..

v t: For truck drivers delivering hay. The place is FCFS and easy to find. The front of their business is on Illinois ave ,but the trucks come in to unload from Minnesota ave Where the back of their business is they are the second driveway right next to the cheese factory both streets are off of Jackson st . There is limited overnight parking on Minnesota ave. The area is safe and clean .they don’t have docks you just pull in it’s not too tight .important note they do not blow out the excess hay when they are finished unloading nor will let you hose it out so you must take care of the mess yourself . Also they won’t unload the hay if it’s raining as it was today but the moment there was a break in the rain they were very quick to unload. The son was very friendly and helpful to inform me in advance about parking and what street to come in on thank you that was a real help .

BEVERLY LANGDON: Great prices, friendly service - will be dealing with this place regularly.

Rogena Waialae-Wightman (Gena): Great feed and prices!
