Providing Authentic Western Wear for Over 65 Years In 1956, Country General Store began as a surplus store when the San Fernando Valley still contained elements of The Wild West. Back then, there were many ranchers and farmers that needed functional clothes for hard work, like riding horses and hauling oranges. Owner Rick Stanoff developed a simple but true store philosophy: “Give ‘em what they want”. That is, provide the best western wear.

It’s always so fun looking throughout the store at the different styles.My favorite thing about this store is their staff. So friendly and helpful. They can help you with any of their sizing and styling as well. They have a great selection of belts and buckles as well. They do cowboy hat cleanings too for $45.
