I HAVE AS WELL...POSTED AN ANGRY REVIEW TOWARDS THE STAFF BUT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER CARE OF THE ANIMALS. AND WELL-BEING OF THE ANIMALS. MAYBE THEY'RE RUDE MAYBE WE'RE RUDE BUT NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IT FEELS TO DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC .THEY'RE THE ONES ON THE FRONT LINES......FRONT AND CENTER WATCHING THE ANIMALS KEEPING TRACK KEEPING NOTE AND THEY'RE DOING A HELL OF A GREAT JOB!I BROUGHT MY BABY HOME AND MY LITTLE BEST FRIEND CAME HOME HEALTHY AND THRIVING AND IS STILL ALIVE TO THIS DAY I WANT TO BE THE FIRST ONE TO SAY YOU KNOW WHAT IF I WROTE ANYTHING BAD /NEGATIVE I RETRACT THOSE WORDS. I RENIGGED.. US PEOPLE NEVER SEE THE GOOD THINGS THAT THEY DO ,,, ONLY FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVE!! AND POSTING NEGATIVE REVIEWS-- THAT'S NOT FAIR. Athough she had the surgery, she had some energy.The following morning she had difficulty breathing... we were hurrying to take her to the emergency, but we had no time. 12 hrs of been with us she passed away 😔😔😔😭😭😭. We are waiting on her autopsy report. It feels like I had a stillborn.😭😭😭 . On Feb 28 we received Angel's autpsy report. She had respiratory track infection. Poor thing. That was a horrible experiece.

Rick Parker: City Animal shelter. Handicap parking and accessible. I had to get a replacement dog tag so I didn't spend much time there. When you enter there are volunteer greater. The area to get new dog licenses and replacement tags is straight back. The area to start talking about adoption and other issues is on the left. As you go toward the license area there is a closed in area highlighting adoptable cats and dogs and where people can meet them. To the left before you get to the licenses area is the entrance to the area where most of the dogs ate kept. I've been in that area before but not on this visit. The line for the licenses and cashier is on the right side of the dog and cat viewing area I mentioned.Parking is somewhat limited. Van Owen is very busy so it's better if you are going West to turn into the lot which is on West side of the shelter. If you're traveling east most of the time it's going to be next to impossible to turn left across traffic into the lot.

Aaron Gonzales: I’d like to thank the team at Hawthorne Animal Control for finding and saving my dog. I left a voicemail on Sunday afternoon informing them I lost my dog and they called back minutes later. The lady who provided me with assistance was great and advised me they found my dog and gave me the address of the local shelter where he was transferred to. Hawthorne Animal Control is doing an amazing service for the Hawthorne community by helping owners be reunited with their beloved dogs. I greatly appreciate it!
