Ok we live in a time now where bottles of organic-natural-massaged-to-death-grapes-who-were-slipped-from-their skin-in-a-seance-soundtracked-by-Beverly-Glenn-Copeland wine is abound, but it was not always so. I would imagine. I hear Lou has been here on the nat wine since…ok a while. Lou’s always has a couple decent bottles in the $-teens and a plethora in the $20s, without taking the absolute Mickey out of your wallet above $30–though there is that too. My only gentle, whisper of a suggestion, that, if fulfilled, would never have me frequenting another wine shop again: would be a slightly more adventurous tiptoe into the non wines…booze, booze in a can, beers, non-alcoholic dibbles and dabbles, some cheap salty chips or whatevers….be my Lou, be my Trader Joe’s, be my cap n cork, and quite literally halve my drive time on a Friday eve!

Brooks Jones: What an absolutely wonderful wine place to accidentally stumble upon while getting my morning coffee. James was the name of the gentleman who helped me and really took his time explaining the shop and it’s history and nearly all of the wines in stock one by one. I ended up, leaving with four separate bottles, all new to me, and I am very excited to try them. This place is approachable and well laid out and I will make sure that I visit anytime that I’m in the area. I highly recommend just popping in for a look and maybe a quick sip of wine.
Henna Pithia: I walked in yesterday with specific criteria: a red under $25, perhaps a cab. I walked out in less than 15 minutes with an incredible red for under $22. I loved walking into the wine stop because it felt like I got a guided tour through the shop's wine options. Will definitely go back again!

Isabel Galupo: About two weeks before our wedding, we had to change bar services and scramble to figure out how to provide all of our own alcohol for the event. We contacted Alvaro at Wine Stop DTLA and he invited us down to the shop to taste some wines, confident that he could figure something out for us on such short notice. He let us taste a few different reds, whites, and sparkling options and they were all delicious. Once we picked what we liked, he gave us a bulk order discount and worked with our coordinator to deliver the wines to our venue seamlessly. Truly one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! We're still working our way through the bottles we have leftover from our wedding but once we're out we'll be sure to re-stock up at Wine Stop!

Lama Mouawad: Wine stop is the only place you need to buy your wine from. They visit wineries and select only the best to bring to their customers. They don't sell wine they wouldn't drink themselves. Operated by amazing people, knowledgeable and humble. They help you pick your next bottle, no matter what occasion you have. 80% of their bottles are affordable and even cheaper than the grocery store or bevmo. A hidden gem that you need to visit, again and again.

The quality of the spirits was impressive, although a few had a stronger taste than I expected. However, the value was exceptional - reasonably priced bottles of unique, handcrafted spirits were available for purchase. I left with a newfound appreciation for small-batch spirits and a wallet that didn't feel too light.

Brea Shelby: Honestly I love this place! I work for a group or attorneys in DTLA nad whenever they want to arrange a gift, I instantly suggest wine/spirits and this is my go to. I recently had to find 3 bottles of a certain Brunello di Montalcino 2016 for an attorney who just returned from that region of Italy and wanted to gift it out. After searching online for a while I decided to just check here in person -THIS PLACE HAD IT. The staff is very nice and laid back and it's tucked away in a cool food court area.

Don and Rocky The Friekers: We purchased glammed bottles of liquor from them. Their products are amazing looking and service is amazing as well. Look at their website for their offerings. They have all types of liquor, specialty liquors, beers, wines, gift baskets and glammed up bottles of liquor covered in glitter. Guess what all our friends are getting as gifts! We did have an issue with one bottle coming broken and a few damaged, but they immediately and happily took care of it. Over all, I would rate them a 10 on a scale of 1 - 10.

Jessica Cuevas: One of the best sandwich shops in LA. It's affordable and made to order.
James Wan: Popular for their deli sandwiches, which folks do start lining up at 11am for, this little shop in charming Larchmont Village is cozy with some good products too. The menu for their deli is short and to the point goodness. You only get to choose from a Mozzarella, Soppressata Salami, Turkey, Prosciutto, and a vegetarian. There is also a limited availability of Tuna Salad. There is a choice of a French Style Baguette or a Ciabatta. The Baguette is the go-to choice and it is very similar to the ones used at an unsaid famous Italian deli in Santa Monica. Their popular sandwiches are somewhat reasonably priced, but they are not big deli sandwiches. Most will find them adequately sized. The accompanying ingredients from quality cheeses, spreads, lettuce/arugula, and olive oil lend to a moist and balanced sandwich. Parking in Larchmont Village can be a challenge. There is a public lot, but mostly you may have to resort to street-side parking with meters.
