Beryl Harris: I enrolled in the Data Analytics course for GA during their Aug-Oct session. I was able to collaborate with students from all different industries. I took this course because I am a data analyst in banking and really wanted to learn new technical skills that I could apply right away. I had never used SQL or Tableau before but I was able to learn those within a matter of weeks! I think the best part about GA is the workshops and events that they hold. I have been able to connect with lots of people. GA makes learning very attainable for anyone!
Simone Wojtaszek: GA gave me the resources I needed to completely change my career. The intensive program is in-person and full-time, forcing me to dedicate myself to learning new skills. GA's downtown LA campus is in a great location, close to the Arts District. GA's career placement program has been very supportive and responsive. And the GA alumni network has been a source of mentorship for me. Overall, I'm glad I did the program. Like anything, you get out of it what you put in.
Elizabeth Messick: General Assembly is amazing! I took the WDI course in the Fall of 2018 and I found a job as a Front End Web Developer in January of 2019. I started out knowing nothing about web development and now I can confidently build my own websites and web apps. The outcomes department was very helpful in my journey to finding my dream job. Although the course was hard, it definitely paid off in the end! I recommend General Assembly to anyone who wants to switch their careers and is willing to put in the work!
Sharif Matar: Incredible place to learn and grow. The supportive team at General Assembly has created a ‘learn by doing’ creative space that is helping build out LA’s larger tech community. The projects and courses are practical and competitive - many new startups and established companies have GA grads working and leading. Wonderful community for DTLA!

Pato Ordoñana: I took the Digital Mkt accelerated 1 week course and in general terms I can say it was a great experience. It's definitely a lot of information to digest in 1 week and I think that the final presentation complicates even more the equation because by day 3 everybody is more focused on doing that, than on processing all the different topics. However, I think most of the relevant topics are covered, the teacher shows a lot of knowledge about digital marketing and the course is well structured. Additionally, the school is really nice and well located, plus is a great place to get to know cool people. Overall it's a great option but I would try to do the part-time instead.

Jieun Kim: I had a wonderful time here in CEL Santa Monica. I could not only learn how to express myself in English, but also I could have the best summer vacation. The class is small, so I had many chances to speak in English with classmates and teachers. Also, It was a great environment to be friends with classmates. I could travel all around LA with my friends, participating in CEL's activities, and it was the best part of the experience. Teachers are so passionate, and they are always eager to correct my mistakes while being supportive. This place is so close to the beautiful ocean and the main street. My friends and I went out every day to leverage the location of the school, and I fell in love with Santa Monica every time.

Kornelija: I really enjoyed this school. I had the best teacher I ever had. The other one I had just for a day, was also very good and funny. The course was challenging but very relaxed. You can always ask whatever you want without being judged. Everybody is very helpful and they give you any help you need, from where to park your car, where to eat or find the best gym. You just have to ask. I would recommend it to everybody who wants to learn something and is open for new experiences.

Carla Delaney: I'm so glad I took this class!! Gunnar's Safe and Easy Writing Class is just what I was looking for. This year I decided to write a half hour multi-cam sitcom, but I wasn't sure where to start. I have a sketch comedy writing background but I wanted help with the pilot format. Gunnar is a wealth of comedy writing knowledge. He broke everything down in such an easy way. He made it simple to generate material and kept us all hitting our deadlines in a completely fun, supportive environment! I found our group table reads to be invaluable. We were able to hear the flow of our dialogue and gauge how jokes landed. Wherever you are in your writing career, you'll walk away with great resources, new relationships…and a PILOT!!
Meghana Mudiyam: I just completed the Safe and Easy Writing class with Gunnar. A first time writer, I had been on the fence about it as I was not sure I was 'ready' to dive into writing a whole pilot, but that is exactly the reason TO take the class. Gunnar is a true expert on comedy - structure, character, what makes things funny - as well as on a vast number of comedy shows, past and present. His able to draw upon all of that makes his instruction and feedback incredibly precise and insightful. What's more, the class is designed to be collaborative and supportive. Not only did I walk away with a much better understanding of the structure and essential components of a strong pilot script, but an actual draft, some direction as to where to take it from here, and a great community of fellow writers - many of whom are also actors, writing material for themselves, like me.

I have learned more in this 10 weeks, than my college experience. Gunnar and Lauren teach you exactly what you need in order to feel confident going out there and auditioning.Actors Comedy Studio teaches you script analysis, helps you perform a multi camera scene in front of a live studio audience, and brings in guest speakers and teachers who come in to talk about their real experience in the industry. Every class for 10 weeks has something to learn from.This studio is the real deal. I highly recommend this course and their other workshops to anyone looking to further their education in this industry!
