Purposeful Porpoise: Great little hole-in-the-wall spot that saved me when i had a flat coming home from work. They took it in right there on the spot and had me back on the road within 20 min. I've also had my bike set up by them and they made it ride smoother than ever, recommend this place for sure.

The owner takes such pride, he helped us select two of the best bikes for our boys… perfect for them to ride now with room to grow into… now that they are in the market for new bikes again, we’ll be making the trek up from orange county because we wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Jason Murray: Went in for new brake pads and they were incredibly honest and said it was not needed. How rare is that? Got a quick tune up right there and then for an incredibly low price. Fantastic place to take your bike in. Highly recommended.
Bruce Curry: Gotta admit I like these guys. Not a huge selection of gear but they always have the parts I need and try to help me immediately even tho I know they are buried with covid newbies, can't get parts and are operating out of a.tiny location. Every time I come in, no matter how slammed they are, they acknowledge me, listen, hear and assist if they can. Seems like they are the only shop in the area that consistently treats everyone with TLC. God love em. Give them your business. You won't regret it.

I had unfortunately been of my bike since the pandemic because it needed a few things worked on, but I work fulltime and have a little difficulty getting to their shop during their business hours. However, they started doing pickups for service, I reached out, and my bike was picked up, fixed up, and brought back within a couple of days of my first message! I am so happy with the service and the quality of work done, I will continue going to them for all things cycling indefinitely. Thanks so much guys!!
Alan Hernandez: Most bike shops that typically quote a 1-2 day turnaround were taking upwards of 2 weeks. They picked my bike up on a Monday and dropped it back off Friday the same week!! Can't beat the turnaround time + not needing to leave my house.Rodney was super chill and friendly. He even took the time to chat bikes and give me a few recommendations.

His advice is always in your best interest. It can be off putting because I don’t think he will go against his own principles to meet your needs. For this reason a visit can be a bummer sometimes, but over all it is a fully functional and capable shop of anything industry leading and pro. And he has always been right in my experience.

L Dupree: This is my go to bike shop. They've repaired my mountain, gravel and road bike and did an excellent job. Nir also rebuilt my gravel bike wheels to perfection. They're not cheap, but that's a good thing because you get what you pay for.
Casper Casparian: Great, small bike shop. Reminds me of the shops in Europe, where you can get almost anything you need, but don't have an infinite number of choices. Quick in and out, and Nir the owner-operator is very skilled and knowledgable.

J P: This bike shop is a great bike shop that have been taking care of me for a long time, but lately every time I go there are always busy. And they do not know how to take care of there customers. An example of this is when I call them they say please call back later. That is not what you do, you should say please hold and get back to them in a timely manner. I will change this review when they change.

Jonathan Adler: I was looking to get into bicycling again and found this great bikeshop. I started out with a used bike for only about $100 and added a new seat, rack, bag, lights etc. It ran great so I just upgraded to a new Retrospec Chatham with 7 speeds and maybe the best bike ride I ever experienced. It's great for cruising around LA and on the gorgeous beach strand.Service is great by Jeremy and he's the best bikeshop staff I ever met. He is very professional, cordial, knows his stuff and is there to make customers happy.The location is super convenient on Pico just west of 20th century studios and Beverly Glen.I rank BHB best bikeshop in LA and plan on going there for all my biking equipment.Highly recommended.

Vincent N: Bought a new Onewheel GT from them a week ago. Louie was the main person helping me, and Danny also helped out. I was able to get a good price on the Onewheel and a Thousands helmet and they were very accommodating. Even though I came close to closing, they stayed back and made sure the board was linked and that everything worked before they went home and closed shop. I asked to use the restroom before I left and the guys working in the back were also pretty cool. I would definitely recommend buying a Onewheel from them.

My experience with Just Ride LA did not disappoint! I have e foiled before, mostly on lakes, but being out on the ocean on a beautiful day with calm water - flying over the surface - it was absolutely awesome and I could not recommend it strongly enough. Lennert Vossen: I usually do not write reviews, but during our stay in LA this company helped us very good. We hired a bike at noon for 24hours. Our hotel did not allow bikes, so we went back around 3pm. We asked if we could take the bike the next day at 9am for the remaining hours, and that was no problem.We picked up the bike around 9.30am the next morning, and we were allowed to keep it until 2pm!! We did everything we wanted to do on our ride and the bikes were perfect. A small bag for belonings and a lock for the bike are all included. We even got 2 ice cold water bottles after. Thanks again!!Please do mind that there will be asked for a credit card hold for a few hundred dollars depending on the type of bike, but it is released almost immediately after bringing back the bikes in good condition.

Daniel Terashima: Hit a rough crack in the road in Koreatown this evening and my bike seized up, when I looked down, the quick release axle was bent. I searched for the nearest bike shop and Golden Bike came up, I figured I could make it before closing so I gave them a call. I asked if they had an axle and they said yes.When I got there Giovanni first showed me an axle that I would need a wrench for because I hadn't specified it as a quick release, but when he saw the actual part he went to the back and found one! He fixed it to my bike for me real quick and I was back on the road! Very grateful for the patience and service when I desperately needed it. Would recommend L.A. Golden Bike Shop to anyone.

I explained my situation and asked if I can come in to get some air on my tire when I was told to not come back until tomorrow morning as the shop had stopped service for the day in the most condescending tone of voice. Would have been nice to be a bit more understanding and empathetic about my situation rather than sounding annoyed and tired. Also, the shop was closing about an hour and a half from the call. Sorry for not knowing any of this? I felt flabbergasted about my experience. It’s just air that I was requesting, I thought to myself. I went to Express Bike right after and they were able to look into it there, with no complaints. Turned out to be more than just air, as I had a flat tube and bad tire. I dropped off my scooter there for next-day service. Oh, and they too close at 6:30.On top of that, an observation. I noticed a customer that was there left his bike there for service. It was exactly 5pm. There was a slight language barrier between the employee and customer; the employee had to repeat what he had previously disclosed to him in an off-putting tone. The customer didn’t notice it, and I just had a thought on how an interaction like that can make a difference to the longevity of a business.Anyway, the point of this review is to shine light on the importance of putting caring and courtesy throughout every interaction, as reviews and recommendations like this make reason for potential customers to inquire. I’m very pleased to know there’s a second location in Torrance. Says a lot about the success of this great bike shop. Perhaps this day was just a hiccup and the employees were tired. I get it. Keep the winning culture spinning true, otherwise it could all crash. Be nice. We all have lives outside of work that can make it hard, yet the effort will always outshine.

Raymond De Jesus: Went to this shop for the first time after a friend recommended me to them. I went in with the intention of just looking around and asking questions. I was assisted by Eric. He let me test drive a bike similar to what I wanted in the alley in the back of the shop. The shop is nice and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.BEWARE! If you don't plan on buying a bike at that moment. Don't come to this shop. Eric gave me such an awesome deal that I could not refuse. No high pressure sales; just a good staff and good deals.Anyways, I ended up buying a new bike a lot sooner than planned. Thumbs up for Eric and the Safety Cycle team.
Spenger Charles: The repair work at this store is a cut above some of its downtown rivals. Last summer I had to get bike cables repaired due to a design element where they are threaded into the frame & come out of the front of the steering column and attach to the handles..Eventually because of the constant bending the cables break just at the area where they come out of the steering column..I brought my bike in for a full tune up at the official retailer in LA for my bike manufacturer, which is also where I bought the bike and asked them to repair the cables as well.Nearly $300 later and in less than 3 months the cables were cracking again in the same place...I even bought the bike in for something else at my former bike repair shop and the manager on duty said I should get the cables repaired and I told him I just did about three months ago..He even verified it through my customer history. At that point I thought I would get another repair job on them for free since it was only two or three months since they "fixed it." Nope.So I went to Safety Cycle and the job they did was awesome..

He will listen to what you need and match it in real time, “with a wink and a smile.” He’s amazingly patient and it’s really refreshing to feel like you are working with someone who genuinely cares.

Scott Vosburgh: Was a bike messenger on a fixie and recently getting back into riding. This shop put together a classic style, geared road bike I ordered online. I realize this is not what they work on but everywhere I called had a two week build wait list and they were willing to do it in a day. It cost almost double as everywhere else but that's the trade-off I was willing to pay. The frame had a dent, not the shops fault, which they said they'd email the manufacturer for me about but never did. I texted twice but was ghosted for that issue. Went back to check out some peddles and ask another question about wheels. It didn't feel like this place was looking for new business but my experience wasn't terrible. It's a subculture shop, if you want smiling polo customer service this probably isn't your place. My next build will be a fixie and I'll probably see whats in stock because they've built some good looking bikes. I'm happy with the road bike build.

Sam Strain: I've been going to BPB since 1995. Bought my first full race Bianchi road bike there. Many bikes later I moved further away, but I still make the drive to BPB for all my service needs. Oscar is a master class mechanic. I don't let any other shop touch any of my bikes. All the mechanics there are fully trained by Oscar. Great prices. Superb service. Pro race or beach cruiser bike, this is the place. Well worth the drive.
