Garnet Basile: My mother was just a patient at Alexandria Care Center two weeks ago. At first she was naturally very afraid of being in a nursing home. During her stay everyone was very caring and kind. She recovered from her hip replacement surgery quickly enough to go home in a relatively short time. When she was getting ready to go home she said "anyone would be lucky to do rehab here."Thank you, Alexandria Care Center!

Maxwell Harris: The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was super clean. Even my mom, who was a patient, said, she was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and she's an OCD type person...Very active rehabilitation center with many sick people too.

Francisco Rodriguez: Friendly caring staff that are very helpful. Hong in activities makes it lots of fun for the patients while improving their rehabilitation. The CNA’s and LVN nurses are extremely accommodating to one’s particular needs. Mr. Weiss the director has improved the quality and care of the patients immensely since taking over.

Ayako Utsumi: . It was a risk to move them to a retirement facility during the pandemic but it was definitely the right choice!. HP managed the pandemic requirements with expertise and professionalism. Our parents are happy to be there and they are getting the right level of care while still maintaining their independence which is so important to them. Plus, the level of services can change according to their changing needs over time. We are so grateful to be at HP!
Tassia Kolesnikow: My mom has been at Hollenbeck Palms for a couple of months. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff. They are caring and compassionate as well as very professional. They have gone above and beyond to make my mother feel welcome, offering tech support with her computer and phone, helping her decorate. They are also very response to requests that my brother and I have made, one of which involved rapid medical assessment and transport to the hospital. I have not visited in person, due to COVID preventing me from travelling to LA, but the grounds look beautiful and her 1 bedroom apartment is clean, light and spacious.
David Rosenbloom: Wonderful, lively retirement community in the heart of Los Angeles, close to cultural and sports activities. Situated on spacious campus with beautiful apartments and year-round gardens. Well-trained and attentive nursing and administrative staff provides an extremely safe environment. In the 12+ years my wife and I have been residents, we've never regretted at day at Hollenbeck Palms.
Deborah Jackson: Our dear mother has lived here for almost 20 years. Originally with our father, they lived in an independent living apartment. With a multitude activities they were always busy and happy. Mom is alone now and is in an assisted living apartment. This has been a difficult year with the Covid-19 virus. The kind and hardworking staff have done an amazing job keeping their residents safe. They all deserve a big thank you for all they do. After 20 years my sister and I have witnessed a lot as we visit frequently. Hollenbeck is part of our family and we trust they will continue to be an amazing place for retirement. Five stars!

pcalifano: Just wanted to give high marks to Antonio, Jessica, Jhoana and Cecilia who work on staff at Brier Oaks on Sunset. They are always responsive and helpful. These hard working staffers really make a difference to the patients and the patient's family and friends. Look for them when you come to Brier Oak.
Juan Calvillo: Just want to say that I was admitted at the facility for 3 months prior to being admitted to facility I looked at facility reviews didn’t want to go there my experience there was really great RN nurces were good with helping patients with there medical needs house keeping always had rooms and facility clean food was great all staff working there were very nice to patients never seen any patients being mistreated there so those who give bad reviews about nursing center your love ones are being well taken care of don’t blame them blame your self for putting your love ones in a environment like that they took care of you so take care on them at the time of need and there last moment on earth so I give this facility a 10 star and thank you tony social worker at facility
Elle Winder: PT is the bomb! 95% of the staff is nice, funny and kind. Food is good and manager works with you and your needs. Administrative staff are very helpful. 1 negative, the showers need some work. But all showers are in shower chair, so it doesn't really affect your body, it's just an eye sore. I liked everyone there, with a handful of notes. For a place so many beds, ppl and constant motion.. kudos!
Lorraine Hixson: It's not the fanciest place, but the staff at Brier Oak are very compassionate and helpful, and to me the people matter more than the place.Folks that are directly responsible for my mom's care make themselves directly accessible to me. It's easy to request regular meetings with the entire care team to get a quick and comprehensive update. And whenever I reach out for special assistance, they always go above and beyond what you would expect: not just medical care, but going as far as personally assisting with personal matters.Medication management has always been a big concern for me and my mom. I've never seen my mom more stable than in the past few months since she's been in their care.Thank you, Tony, Lisa, Ingrid, Harvey and the rest of the Brier Oaks care team.

They are true hero's always welcome me and my family to see my mom or talk to her on the phone at anytime and answered all my quetion and concerns too. All residents are none covid patients our visitations wore behind a window witch was ok because we want to keep my mom and all residents and staff safe. Thank you!

The convenience of residing on the premises allows residents and loved ones to maximize their time together and focus on enjoying each other's company while also providing private spaces when needed.The staff who maintain KM and serve its residents are amazing! From the dishwashers, to the gardeners, to maintenance, to housekeeping, to the kitchen staff, to the caregivers, to the administration...everyone is friendly, caring and helpful...just as you might expect if you were visiting a 5 star hotel!As well, there is always something to whet the intellectual appetite including external talent invited in, including musical groups
Laura Ohio: The food here is very good! Great variety, delicious home made soups, excellent coffee, lovely atmosphere. I like that they have table clothes and linens for every meal. They have surprise events like live sushi stations in the dining room. The chef comes around to tables occasionally to introduce himself and receive feedback. It's not restaurant food, which would be too salty and heavy for every day eating, but it's really nice stuff. I'm at Kingsley 3-4 times a week as an independent assistant and if my mother lived in CA, I would send her here.
Vicki Weiss: and invited him to stay for a few meals and participate in one of their activities, he chose Kingsley over the other assisted living communities he had visited. Jeannie continues to be an asset to my friend. She promptly addressed every challenge during our friend’s move and when he misplaced his room key the first day, it was replaced by maintenance right away. Jeannie runs Kingsley a bit like a fancy hotel!!! Our friend has now made a couple of friends who he meets for meals. Everyone he has met is happy to be residing at Kingsley and they all appreciate the amazing professionalism and friendliness of Jeannie and her staff. Jeannie has been working at Kingsley for over 3 decades, and our friend said she is beloved by the residents. As you can tell, we are all big fans of Kingsley and highly recommend it as the perfect choice for assisted living.
Jonathan Wexler: Kingsley Manor has been beyond wonderful for my Mom! She had been at one of the large corporate retirement communities for a couple of years. While that experience was decent, it lacked the caring for the residents we hoped for. We then ran into a friend - Grant Edelstone - that had spent decades running senior facilities. Grant recommended Kingsley Manor and he put us in touch with Jean Weber. Jean has been beyond tremendous in every way! She set up a tour. We ate a surprisingly tasty and delicious lunch, and we dined with some residents. Based on the tour, Jean’s excellent and kind guidance and the warmth of the facility, we immediately knew this was the place! We were also impressed that Jean and many other staff members have been there for decades - that was a good sign for us that they treat their staff well. Many facilities cannot keep their staff. Kingsley Manor is different which was a deciding factor. Jean made the whole moving in process easy including recommending reliable movers. My Mom has been there for 6 months now. We feel so grateful for Kingsley Manor, Jean Weber and the whole staff that Mom is in such a beautiful and caring home. Thank You so much!Heidi Wexler

Nina Ahlstrin: , , My move-in date was February 2020 and I am delighted to live her, as I expected to feel. The first attraction for m'e was the fact that I could keep my little dog with me. Secondly, I valued the fact that I would be able to work on a very important project: the writing a translation of a book I published in Sweden '' now written in English .Very stimulating to me is he multitude of residents who like me come from richly varied backgrounds and fields of education.The multitude in cultural backgrounds fascinate me and as an immigrant I learn a lot of ways to approach many new situations and also introduce new ways of training. In my ten years of employment at USC EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING CENTER, I had the opportunity of learning how to appreciating allowing people to be expressive and creative in solving conflict and other challenges. That is not always a given, but at Kingsley I have found it easy for me to enjoy myself and easily make friends. Friendly atmosphere and gardens for us the HUMANS.The food is superb and varied and healthful! Friendly servers and very healthful dining ambiance,The Covid 19 interruption of smooth sailing was handled with great skill and as residents , as one resident, I felt well protected.In other words: I sure like it here ! I am 92 years old and look forward to living here a lot longer, thank you God and Kingsley Manor!

Spectacular views of the 'Hollywood' sign and Griffith Observatory are enjoyed from the north deck, while the south deck treats viewers to LA's downtown skyscrapers.Originally constructed as a retirement retreat for church members, Kingsley Manor features a chapel equipped with a magnificent pipe organ offering a spiritual and meditative space of renewal.The head chef and dining hall staff offer nutritious menus with several offerings for each meal, augmented by the 'always available' items, where residents enjoy delicious meals while socializing with each other.A wide variety of activities are offered, including exercise classes, educational and craft programs, a community library, outings to parks, museums and cultural events.These are only some of the highlights that distinguish Kingsley Manor as a caring, safe, invigorating senior community.

Traditional brick buildings, beautiful gardens, spacious grounds and an ambiance of Old Hollywood — plus the historic Hollywood sign can be seen from our rooftop terraces. Friendly, caring staff; good food and creative Chef; activities galore - fitness class every day of the week, art appreciation, travelogues, news discussions,cultural celebrations, outings to eateries, stores and museums.

Annemarie Bestor: I arrived here less than a month ago and I am thoroughly enjoying living here.The best and most important part of KIngsley Manor are the staff members! From the front desk, to the dining staff, cleaning staff and, of course, the people from maintenance, and whomever I forget at the moment, the Kingsley staff members are exceptional.!I love the top terraces on Leitzell Hall which right now are little too cool to stay on. I almost always enjoy the food and have congratulated the head chef on several dishes.I have to get used to spending three meals a day with so many people since I've lived alone for at least 25 years.It will take time to adjust to that.Kingsley Hall is only 7-10 minutes by car from one one part of my family, and sometimes one hour from my younger daughter on the Westside.I found to my surprise that I can walk in the neighborhood for my daily one half hour, and that there is a general market in the same block where you can buy practically everything.So much for my first impressions.

I go to art appreciation, behind the authors, love writing workshop, and whatever the afternoon cultural and snack program there is on Tuesdays, Travel review, politics and socials, lunch out, wine and cheese ,all exercise programs, all seven ofthem especially the aerobics. I like being part of the Broadcasterprogram and am part of the the Sages and Seekers.The food is wonderful.I love the specials everyday. I truly appreciate all that the staffprovides, you never are without something to do, I really enjoyit here.The results of all the hard work the staff does is wonderful andI appreciate there creativeness especially Michael Essex, heis so enthusiastic. I can't say enough about Kingsley, it's great.
Virginia Elwood-Akers: I have lived at Kingsley Manor for three years and I love it here! What is not to like? My little apartment is charming, the food is wonderful, the staff is helpful, and the other residents are terrific. I can honestly say that I have met as many interesting people here in the past three years, as I met in the eighty two years that preceded them. I have made good friends. Kingsley's dynamic staff offers great entertainment and educational programs, field trips to museums and other cultural events, and advice with physical and psychological problems. As I said, what is not to like?
Neva Trejo: I've lived here over three years in this lovely classy grande dame that resembles UCLA's brick Romanesque. A charming well kept bastion of the old Hollywood, movies and tv shows often film here. Nurses Plus Hospice: The original Japanese hospital is the landmark for where Infinity care of LA now provides skilled nursing home services to residents local to the East LA area for over 20 years. As a provider in partnership, it's always a great pleasure to come in to this historical building to care for those most in need.From Nelly's greetings at the front door always with a warm smile and charisma, to Director of Business Development Eloisa's friendly welcome, followed by Admissions Coordinator Elizabeth smiling behind her desk, next to hard working Administrator Mr. Rob's serene and pleasant greetings, followed by Earlene and dear Julio who is ALWAYS so well dressed and color coordinated. It's always such a pleasant quick round before interacting with the HEROES wearing the invisible capes, the angels with invisible wings, nurse Erna, nurse Alfredo nurse Lupeee, DSD Norma and of course their fearless leader Ms. Bulan. Infinity Care of LA's strength and focus is on caring for their patients and their families, despite the many obstacles and challenges the health care field presents now days.

Russell Moyer: I was transferred to this nursing home from Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital and stayed here for a month for therapy and wound care. All of the staff were very nice to me. I came in with big wounds on my left foot after my amputation and now my wounds are completely healed. The physical therapists helped me so much and pushed me to my limit. Now Im going home tomorrow and I am very thankful for all the care they have provided me. I recommend this facility to anyone needing care!
John-Nelson Valencia: I want to point out a few things about this Facility. First the aesthetics. The outside was fixed and looks great, clean, and bright. The Inside is currently And continually being fixed and so far my family friends that stayed there has been satisfied.My family friends both went in for Therapy and one of them for IV. It was a short stay, about 20 days but in those 20 dYs, they provided aggressive rehab and my family friends were able to come home stronger. They didnt miss an IV and they were on time as well.Staff there is very friendly and i liked that they always checked up on then
Queen Chic: My Dad is a patient at this facility and only been there barely 3 weeks my dad Heath has improved tremendously my dad couldn’t walk he up walking they make sure all his appointments and medication it correct and is taken the whole nurse and staff is completely professional and caring and awesome bedside Manners any questions I have about my dad that answers with love and concern and respect my and not only do they make sure my father gets the best Heath and rehabilitation they also notice me immediately of any changes to my father, they also schedule and transport my father to and from doctors appointments and notify me and makes arrangements for me to ride with my dad to and from appointments and I can’t thank and praise this women enough she is truly GOD SENT Rachel the case worker is an Angel because of her professionalism and quick reaction my dad is impressively is healing ❤️ quite fast and I can leave this place after I visit my dad with a peace of mind knowing my dad is in the Best of care and all Honor and respect goes to Rachel the Case Manager there she makes sure the patient get nothing but the best care!!!!!!Thank you, 🙏🏾 Rachel

Cheruamlak Alemaw: There are five exceptional human beings working at Mar Vista Country Villa. Therapists Lisa, Christine, David and social workers Dannia and Adrienne. I came in with the left side of my skull missing from a violent car accident and I left with my hope and confidence restored. That’s because the therapist Lisa, Christine and David are miracle workers. While we worked on physical exercises Lisa became a new found genuine friend, Christine related with her sense of humor, and David kept me fully engaged with stimulating fascinating conversations. Not only did I recover physically, I was revived mentally. Just as vital to my growth were social workers Dannia and Adrienne. Their full attention and resourceful process was equally matched by their heartfelt sympathy and patient voices. They went out of their way, giving me much more than I expected to make sure I was taken care of even after I left the center. I cannot be grateful enough for these five individuals who are personally and emotionally invested in my wellbeing. Thank you. I am now just waiting for the installation of my 3D titanium skull. Oh, and nice patio Mar Vista.

Marlene Allen: I had to stay at Country Villa Mar Vista for about 3 weeks. The entire staff were excellent. I met extremely experienced CNAs who did their job professionally, efficiently and with kindness. Management responded to issues in a timely manner and resolved issues to my satisfaction. The Physical Therapy department is very good and effective. I had a great doctor as well who diagnosed my illness when other doctors could not. I would definitely recommend this Skilled Nursing Facility.

I met and interacted with the Josephine, Admin/Business Office Mgr, Marissa,Social Social Services Mgr, PT, Dietician, Insurance Mgrs on a regular basis to get updated info re my brothers care. Everyone esp the nurses were very caring & attentive.I strongly recommend scheduling an initial meeting to discuss the care of your loved one to establish communication. paul ehrlich: Recently our friend was a patient at Country Villa Mar Vista for 4 days following a hospitalization.My wife, a retired RN, and myself found this place to be very acceptable.The facility was very clean and odorless and modern and well appointed and has a beautiful patio . Our friend said that the food was very good with choices.It is located in a very nice residential area of Mar Vista.The staff was very friendly, competent and caring. They were very attentive to our friend's needs. We would highly recommend Country Villa Mar Vista. We both agree that we would be willing to be a patient there if need be.
