Mirman School: what do users think?

Tulani Bridgewater-Kowalski: Former student and absolutely loved it. Excellent teachers, staff and alumni involvement. I visit every few years and am impressed by the continued work of the administrators and teachers to keep the curriculum and facilities at the leading edge. Very proud to have attended.

Avery: One of the best schools ever!!!!

Anthony Weinraub: Mirman is a lovely small school, where all of the children are well-cared for and supported. The teachers are fantastic and an emphasis is placed on diversity and tolerance. My child had an amazing education there, and Mirman is the right school for any child they accept.

Emory Kim: Mirman is a very nurturing environment that is fit for any student it accepts. Many teachers show that they care very much for their students and will try to help the school be the best. Mirman allows their students to have many opportunities because of the fact that it is a very well known school. Mirman is a school that has changed many people's lives for the best and readies their pupils for the real world.

Citizens of The World Charter School - Hollywood: what do users think?

diane dvorkin: We love this school and all of the staff which we always find friendly and helpful. They may not have the best campus or a fabulous playground but they have so much more. They teach the kids about being peacemakers and they also have a great art and PE program that you won’t find any other place. We previously went to a fancy private school down the street for 3 years and we started this year at a LAUSD, West Hollywood 10 out of 10 elementary before switching to CWC in December due to LAUSD’s lack of friendliness, behavior and social emotional teaching. We are so happy here and my son loves it. The special ed is also fabulous as well. Our needs are always addressed and met in a kind and meaningful way, which is really hard to find these days. We couldn’t be happier. Go CWC!

Sara Flate: This school has been a second home to us. The administrative staff and teachers are all amazing and we are so grateful for them! My daughter has thrived here and now my son is here. We love it and can't say enough good things.

Ivan Ivanov: Nice

Jonathan Gael: Bullet proof glass? Fear of black and brown people? Thankfully, the security features are what they are given the neighborhood. One of mine used to be a wanderer, so I'm thankful for the fence that's good for keeping kids in, and we'll make no apologies for the architecture. In fact, show me a Kindergarten without a fence and I wouldn't let my other son in the door. CWC was founded on 40% minority and 40% low income, and the effect has been a cultivated culture ingrained with diversity. In fact, we've recently added neuro-diversity to the "spectrum" of our vocabulary, if you catch my drift. The CWC community is all about inclusion and we've worked hard to bridge the cultural and income divides. Even our gala fundraiser had $15 tickets for parents with kids on the low-income lunch. Did I bid on the family vacation to Hawaii? No, but it was an awesome freakin' time with Wolfgang Puck catering, great DJ...and the dance floor was proof that the staff is not all white. In fact, our new VP is a sista with a Harvard degree. How's that for tin foil hats?

F. S.: and his teacher replies immediately. Since racial issues always come up let me tell you that we are hispanic family and never felt out of place or left out due to our ethnicity. We are so grateful to be part of this school.

CES College: I am sorry but lol to all the one-star reviews. Yes, the school is fenced off, as many of the LA schools, unfortunately. It shares the campus with a middle school, so that's a standard thing. The staff and kids are diverse and the community is very welcoming. They have kids from families who could easily afford private schools studying and playing together with kids who qualify for free lunches and no one, no one ever felt the difference. On the opposite, they make sure that kids do not feel left out if they do not have funds - everyone is included in field trips, receives a year book, etc., no matter if they paid or not. When 5th graders went on overnight trip last year, it was specifically said that everyone would be accommodated, notwithstanding their ability to pay. Twenty-two kids in a class, with a full-time TA, music, art, Spanish. The teachers are VERY responsive - immediate response to emails, calls, and requests for a meeting.

Carol Young: Lovely school with caring, nurturing teachers and staff. My kids love this school and have grown so much as students and citizens of the world.

Chloe Yun: Management, Teachers and Staff

Stephen Clark: Fantastic!

Terrance Mosley: when i went there i have the best time in my life,in school. there was over 25 years ago, and we didn't have the fence, smh.

Fusion Academy Los Angeles: what do users think?

Alexandra Mok: I like fusion I am a student my name is axi and I am righting this becase my teacher gave me a cup of ice in a flower pot for my Starbucks drink so if anyoen wants free ice go to James

Kim P: I love this school for our daughter…it’s been an incredibly supportive environment. She’s always had top grades but the emotional stress of other schooling options has been tough. Fusion does an incredible job of uplifting all the kids and making them believe in themselves and feel comfortable at school. They’re also flexible with start time - our daughter needs to sleep in, so she starts school at 11:30. If a teacher isn’t a good fit, they switch to a better fit. If your kid needs to stay home for a mental or physical health day, no problem, they can Zoom. I highly recommend it. The only negative is that it’s expensive. If this is an issue, but your kid is having a terrible time with a subject or two in their current school, you can just take one class part time and guaranteed your kid will get a better grade and learn more.

S Kessler: My daughter flourished at Fusion Academy. In two years as a student there, she went from cautious to taking risks academically. The teachers are also mentors and meet their needs half way and develop a trust that is necessary for personal success. As a new graduate, my daughter's graduation was filled with other students who transcended their former beliefs in themselves and succeeded to new heights! I highly recommend Fusion Academy West Los Angeles for one-to-one learning and a warm, safe community to thrive in.

Jackie Wall: I have attended fusion for 5 years and it the best schooling experience that I’ve ever had! The teachers and staff are so welcoming and supportive. It’s very obvious that they want the best for you in all aspects of life. They go out of their way to make every student feel comfortable and supported. I definitely recommend that people send their child here!

Patty Wall: Graduation 2021 was FANTASTIC!!! Fusion LA personal stories by the teachers to the student was so personal, funny, heart warming and memorable. The administration and all the teachers went out of there way to create this years outdoor graduation the most beautiful setting from the background music, photos, assigned seating and decorations.

Lisa Norton: Two of our children graduated from Fusion, and both left high school feeling confident and prepared for the next chapter in their lives. Fusion Academy is the only school I know of that truly personalizes education, and prepares every student for life after high school. Fusion makes the effort to understand a student's post-high school goals, and to prepare them for what comes next, whether that's college or work. Also, Fusion teaches practical life skills, like managing personal finances and budgeting, that almost no high schools teach.

EthanKleinOfficial (EthanKleinOfficial): My experience at Fusion Academy Los Angeles has been amazing. I have been going there since 8th grade and now I am a senior. The one to one learning has been a great experience. The teachers categorize your classes with your interests and make it connect to the real world which is awesome. The teachers are really understanding and they push you to become a better student by you creating these goals and every other semester the teachers meet and basically tweak a goal or completely change one. They really care about you as person and make sure your getting work done on time.

Amélie Sarah: I have been at Fusion for 4 years, started in 8th grade and am now a senior. I was bullied a lot at my old school which lowered my self esteem. I was also really struggling in math. As soon as I transitioned to Fusion, I started to meet genuine people who actually cared about me and was able to connect with my peers as well as my teachers. My teachers were always making sure I was understanding whatever we were covering in class, and if I didn't, they would explain it another way. As time went by, not only did I feel comfortable asking for help, but I also felt safe around my peers. Now, as I prepare to graduate in a few months, I am confident about who I am, I have made lifelong friends, and created lifelong bonds with my teachers. The teachers I have meet at Fusion are some of the nicest people I know, and they really do care about your success.

William James: Very nice school, supporting teachers who care about wellbeing and not just getting through the schoolwork. I like fusion academy because you can move at a accelerated pace in certain areas and stay behind in others and no you can't buy grades if you don't try hard and expect everything then you will fail, fusion is for higher learning not babysitting. This is the school of the future.
