Citizens of The World Charter School - Hollywood: what do users think?

diane dvorkin: We love this school and all of the staff which we always find friendly and helpful. They may not have the best campus or a fabulous playground but they have so much more. They teach the kids about being peacemakers and they also have a great art and PE program that you won’t find any other place. We previously went to a fancy private school down the street for 3 years and we started this year at a LAUSD, West Hollywood 10 out of 10 elementary before switching to CWC in December due to LAUSD’s lack of friendliness, behavior and social emotional teaching. We are so happy here and my son loves it. The special ed is also fabulous as well. Our needs are always addressed and met in a kind and meaningful way, which is really hard to find these days. We couldn’t be happier. Go CWC!

Sara Flate: This school has been a second home to us. The administrative staff and teachers are all amazing and we are so grateful for them! My daughter has thrived here and now my son is here. We love it and can't say enough good things.

Ivan Ivanov: Nice

Jonathan Gael: Bullet proof glass? Fear of black and brown people? Thankfully, the security features are what they are given the neighborhood. One of mine used to be a wanderer, so I'm thankful for the fence that's good for keeping kids in, and we'll make no apologies for the architecture. In fact, show me a Kindergarten without a fence and I wouldn't let my other son in the door. CWC was founded on 40% minority and 40% low income, and the effect has been a cultivated culture ingrained with diversity. In fact, we've recently added neuro-diversity to the "spectrum" of our vocabulary, if you catch my drift. The CWC community is all about inclusion and we've worked hard to bridge the cultural and income divides. Even our gala fundraiser had $15 tickets for parents with kids on the low-income lunch. Did I bid on the family vacation to Hawaii? No, but it was an awesome freakin' time with Wolfgang Puck catering, great DJ...and the dance floor was proof that the staff is not all white. In fact, our new VP is a sista with a Harvard degree. How's that for tin foil hats?

F. S.: and his teacher replies immediately. Since racial issues always come up let me tell you that we are hispanic family and never felt out of place or left out due to our ethnicity. We are so grateful to be part of this school.

CES College: I am sorry but lol to all the one-star reviews. Yes, the school is fenced off, as many of the LA schools, unfortunately. It shares the campus with a middle school, so that's a standard thing. The staff and kids are diverse and the community is very welcoming. They have kids from families who could easily afford private schools studying and playing together with kids who qualify for free lunches and no one, no one ever felt the difference. On the opposite, they make sure that kids do not feel left out if they do not have funds - everyone is included in field trips, receives a year book, etc., no matter if they paid or not. When 5th graders went on overnight trip last year, it was specifically said that everyone would be accommodated, notwithstanding their ability to pay. Twenty-two kids in a class, with a full-time TA, music, art, Spanish. The teachers are VERY responsive - immediate response to emails, calls, and requests for a meeting.

Carol Young: Lovely school with caring, nurturing teachers and staff. My kids love this school and have grown so much as students and citizens of the world.

Chloe Yun: Management, Teachers and Staff

Stephen Clark: Fantastic!

Terrance Mosley: when i went there i have the best time in my life,in school. there was over 25 years ago, and we didn't have the fence, smh.

Stella Adler Academy of Acting: what do users think?

Tolani Lawal: Such a good school I wish I was in California

Enjoy Today: Beautiful campus 🤩

Victoria Kemsley: Those that say Stella Adler never taught here are 100%. Maybe not at that particular location, but at the conservatory on Argyle. Why do I know? Because I took from her. She was instrumental in forming this school. Her technique is what is taught. If it doesn't work for you, fine. Go elsewhere. Why the anger?

galaxyC MP: Amazing teachers!

Pratyush Jha C1-074: Positive:Communication,Professionalism

Nicholas Forte: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dayana Alzamora: This is the best acting school , if you want to become a real actor this is the place to be , teachers are amazing , this school changed my life for real.I’m so grateful for that , don’t waste your money in other places is a lot of garbage out there , this is real teaching , Stella Adler academy is the most qualified school in LA♥️

Rodica “Rachel” Carroll: Great acting school. Look into it.

New Covenant Academy: what do users think?

BOYOUNG JUN: NCA is a great school. Although its community is small, it makes the community feel like a family. NCA also educates its students to be Christian leaders. The teachers make a warm, inviting environment for the students to learn in. I definitely recommend this school!

Melissa MacRunnel: As a teacher at this school, I would highly recommend it to prospective families. This is a school that I would send my own children to.

kevin p: Great place to start school

JULIE C: Great christian private school. I've been sending my kids for years. Kids are happy here.

Samuel YT: My son loves to go to school and he learns so many things I can't even think of.

Lester & Young Management: Great School!!!

Alibi Rakhanov: I chose Mentor Language Institute because some people recommended me to go to this school to study English here and during transfer process, administration and especially Debora helped me a lot, with her quick responses to my questions and thanks to her, I didn’t have any problems.I like how they teach, how close students and teachers are, when me or other students had questions, we always get clear explanations for any topics. Also I like that teachers in MLI found an individual approach to each student, which greatly facilitated the process of learning English.I will recommend this school to everyone who wants to start learning English or to gain advance skills.

California Academy of Mathematics and Science School: what do users think?

______: Wow this school amazing best school I ever been

Wezam Paully-Umeh: This school has a very inviting environment that encourages collaborative learning, while also teaching students to be independent learners -C/O ‘18

Steven Nguyen: Just coming back from open school days for 2020 parents, it is a small campus and utilize Dominguez Hills facilities. Mainly focus on STEM and have small students body. Incoming freshmen about 167 and each middle school has 2 open slots. They’re open for students outside LBUSD. There are more AP courses than SATO. This magnet school maybe not a good choice for easy going students.

Meximoan Crip: Dis school is lit and their education is great
