Lowe's Garden Center: what do users think?

Jay Dutch: Anthony the manager was most delightful after being the last resort for assistance... When all else fails call the Manager! and he came and didn't play no games Shout out to Mid City Lowes !!😉

dominique short: Stopped in today and everyone was so friendly and helpful, The most wonderful of them all was Yalonda, she was so kind and patient just a real pleasant person to be in the company off. Wow Wow Wow

Michelle Pajak: I popped in here today strictly for some houseplant needs and I was overwhelmed at how HUGE this store is! Not only is there PLENTY of parking but there are so many aisles! I usually go to the Home Depot on Slauson but Lowe’s has them beat. This plane is ENORMOUS. I did find a beautiful golden pothos with an adorable planter on clearance for $6 and another little cactus I needed. I picked up some neem oil and some succulent food and was out the door. The employees I encountered were very friendly and greeted me and asked if I needed help. I enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back!

Diver One: Pickup 15 bags of mulch $2. A bag

Mike: Good spot. Just be wary if it’s near closing you’ll enter thru the exit doors haha

Geniric striker Tony: Good service

Eddie Pagoada: Always find what I'm looking for.

Trevor Hooks (T Hookz): Great place

Lane Allen: Spectacular television on Fox news 3/6/2024. Watched the coverage from Winston Salem, NC Lack luster event till it got into Ventura County and the box truck battle Royale with Mr. Tire ensued. Props to Mr. Tires driver. 💪

Dream Garden: what do users think?

Leslie Alexx: I always drive by this place and see a ton of really cool huge planters but never actually made it in, up until recently. I was in need of repotting my birds of paradise and needed a big planter so I walked in I was greeted by the gentleman that works there I believe he was the owner. Immediately greeted me asked if I needed help but I was kind of just poking around and wanted to explore so I looked around at first. Then when I wanted pricing he was super helpful I ended up buying three pots he explained to me that one pot that I had was actually created by hand and the little indents were actually made by thumbprints. I loved that he explained that, since I did like that pattern I thought it was a cool story once I got my pots I went inside his little office with a bunch of pots inside to pay with my card and to my surprise I saw on the corner of his desk a mini monstera! Love an unexpected surprise the rhaphidophora tetrasperma I had been looking for for literally the past 2 months from all the nurseries close to West Hollywood even a trip to the Flower District in Downtown LA I could not find this plant everyone kept telling me to come back around May because they would have some then that they hadn't seen them in years blah blah blah so I asked the gentleman if he had more of these and of course he walked me over to the greenhouse and I found a beautiful baby to take home FINALLY! So so happy with the selection and the pricing is absolutely phenomenal if you're looking for something that has a little bit of character I highly recommend going here for Planters the selection of plants was incredible 10/10

John Farrell: This is a gem. So glad I stopped by today. This is not a box store garden center. Here you’ll find unique plants and pots that will create real interest in your garden or home.I kept walking through over and over holding back from buying before researching. Time to do my homework and head back …tomorrow and I live 30 min away.

Tchan: This is my favorite plant nursery, the owner is super knowledgeable, great selection of plants and pots that are reasonably priced, offers to repot if you buy plant and pot.

rob richert: Very kind and helpful shop owner

Jane Edwina Seymour: Aptly named, Dream Garden is an oasis in an otherwise awful section of Sunset Blvd. It is very easy to get caught up in all the awesome plants, pots and assorted bits and pieces to do with your garden, both indoor and outdoor. It is tidy and easy to walk around and see everything. A bit on the pricey side but the quality and variety make up for that. Visit if you want incredible pots and wonderful advanced plants for home and garden.

Claudia Ayala: from this nursery and they're very beautiful and healthy. Would recommend visiting!

Kevin Peake: for my business Next Health. John delivered and planted it and it looks amazing! It is the perfect showcase for our storefront.

Hannah: All outdoors and very healthy and well taken care of plants. Very cute and creative pots ♡

Mike E.: , and how to care for them; he's very knowledgable. If you're looking for a place to purchase plants from, this is it!

Kennedy Lipskind: ! Has beautiful plants and even potted the one I got for me. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking to brighten up a space and add some plants

Jan Christiansen: certainly deserves to be called the “Dream Garden”. As soon as you walk in, you’re immersed in towering, stunning plants: Bougainvillea, Mandevilla, flowering vines, exotic cacti, stunning trees unlike anything you’d see in the nursery section of the huge chains. There’s even an indoor greenhouse that feels like you’re in the rainforest. And if you need pots or planters, you’ll find a rare selection of some of the finest, high quality items I’ve ever seen. But perhaps what makes this place most special is the owner, John. I rarely write reviews, but because of his knowledge, and his kind nature and excellent customer service, I wanted to take the time to steer others his way. I’ve been gardening all forty years of my life, but in the several months that I’ve been coming to the Dream Garden, I’ve learned so much from him. He’s pointed me to a cutting edge soil that has even my most stubborn plants jumping for joy. He’s taught me proper feeding and watering regimes, and how best to plant certain notoriously tricky plants. As a result, the garden at my music studio is booming and always fetches me compliments-- see pictures below. If you’re looking for a place with exceptional quality, a knowledgeable and kind staff, a fantastic experience and fair prices, make sure to pop in for a visit at the Dream Garden!

Kevin McGuire: Great plants, very reasonable prices. Great pots and great staff!

Hashimoto Nursery: what do users think?

Nate Russell: Friendly and helpful service. Helped me find the right plant life and is there to help it grow.

Matt Frishkorn: Have a wonderful selection of pots and outdoor plants. So many butterflies and small birds make it such a peaceful spot to shop.

Claire Elise: Everything there is so beautiful. My only complaint was the dude I tipped $5 to for his help didn’t even say thanks. Some people right?

Rosson: Allow me to take you on a journey to the enchanting haven known as Hashimoto Plant Nursery—an oasis of green nestled amidst the hustle and bustle of development on the west side. This hidden gem has etched its place not just as a nursery, but as a vital thread in the fabric of its community, a haven of greenery that has thrived amidst the changing landscape. In a world where the relentless march of progress often sweeps away the vestiges of the past, Hashimoto Plant Nursery stands resolute, a beacon of tradition and community spirit. And so, I echo your sentiments, hoping and praying that this beacon of green resists the waves of development, that it continues to stand tall as a bastion of tradition, and that its heart continues to beat in harmony with the community it has embraced for so long.In summary, Hashimoto Plant Nursery isn't just a place—it's a sanctuary, a testament to resilience, and a celebration of community. Hannah Donovan: Free parking, amazing plants, kind and caring staff! This place is a luscious garden oasis in the heart of Sawtelle Japantown. 🌿

Eric Lambden: The selection seems limitless and the quality is superior

Jake Southard: Awesome nursery! I’ve bought many plants here, and I’m actually heading back today for some potting soil.Big selection, helpful staff

B C: Very healthy succulents. Beautiful variety.

Jennifer Olivera: Really nice workers. Much better service than the nursery next door.

Roberta Fong: Variegated string of hearts in 6 inch hanging basket- very full for a fair price! Haven't seen one this size since prepandemic.

Alex Fortag: These people are lovely. I didn't get their names but I dealt with two women who were just angels. Two of my plants are sadly dying so I called them to ask if they would take a look at them and they said they would be happy to help me, I went in and they gave me advice free of charge. When I first arrived I accidentally went to a different nursery that's next door - they were rude and not helpful, they saw that my plants were dying and didn't even offer any guidance. Their loss because they could have converted me into a customer and now I will never shop there - they missed out on me buying a ton of things that I ended up needing. Hashimoto has such an incredible array of succulents, I can't wait to go back. They are the best and now I will only ever go there!

Christina Duphorn Zehnder: Expensive but they know their products.

Echo Garden: what do users think?

Monique Vega: I walked into Echo Garden looking for a new houseplant. Bill was friendly and welcoming and helped point us in the right direction. He is super knowledgeable and friendly which made shopping for a new plant that much more pleasant. Thanks again! We will be back soon.

Davison Locksley: I love this little local place. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I like to support my neighborhood stores..They have a nice inventory and they are passionate about what they sell. We talked about cats and butterflies and what would be best in my shade garden. I hope this place is able to make a go of it and be profitably. I much prefer them to a corporate big box store.

Garrick Iwamoto: Love this place…amazing / helpful owners and beautiful store. I buy too many plants from here

Heavenly Scents R Us: Friendly staff

M Boll: Great place, lots of inventory and they were super helpful!

Anna Emilia: We had a really great experience at this nursery. We were looking for a memorial tree that could spend a few years inside and then be planted outside. We received fantastic support with careful considerations regarding the pros and cons of each available tree. We're really happy with our choice. Also very happy that they have a pet safe plant section. We will be back!

Rebecca Garcia: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would return.

Raxx K: Owners are super friendly, and lots of amazing prices.

Jose Cazun: They sell many things for the gardening area and for irrigation, fix all-weather machines for gardening, and sell plants, spare parts for machines, and good products, excellent prices, and good service, and friendly people who work there in that place, come take a look, may you have many blessings.

Rome C: Great service!

Katherine K: Helen is amazing!! I had been searching for a spot where I could browse but also get some insights as to what might work best in my new space. Having just moved to California Helen helped me with what would be best for my outdoor space and gave me a ton of tips on how to care for them. Having a knowledgeable person to help you in getting the right plants and also help to deliver the two large plants- I would never in a dream have thought I would find a spot like this after going to 8 other spots around town with no luck. Great service, great selection, great prices! Go!!

OraAaru Nance: A nice surprise. Good service. Healthy plants ☺️

Plant Material - Glassell Park: what do users think?

Gregory Stewart: Great small native plant nursery. Parking is hard, but if you’re in the area, it’s a great place to stop in and get some hard to find plants. It’s cozy, small and boutique like atmosphere make it a destination to shop for plants.

Sandra C: Had a great experience here. I was trying to get the carex pansa plugs for my California native lawn. I contacted them by email and they facilitated everything. I did some miss calculations so I had to keep going back for more. The plugs are growing in nicely too.

Sheryl Okuno: Buyer beware. I went to what I thought was a really cute little nursery today. They specialized in California natives. I saw a Staghorn fern that I so wanted. Priced really reasonable at $11.00. So I got it and also grabbed a Ceanothus for $12.00. I took the plants up to pay and was busy talking to my daughter. The lady rang them up and asked if I wanted a printed receipt. I said no and she gave me my credit card. I just got home and looked at the charge on my phone. Some how a purchase of $23.00 turned into a charge of $35.04. Taxes aren't that much in Glassell Park! Also got the plants home and noticed that the fern is infested with scales. They're not fern spores. The nursery is 45 mins away from me. And the store is already closed. I need to keep alert when buying stuff. But wanted to leave a review to make sure you know what your getting before leaving.Update: once the owners found out the plant I bought had a scale infestation, they gave me a refund a couple days later. The nursery is nice with a good selection of natuved. Just look closely at what you plan to buy.

Doreen Pierson: A very sweet place to buy native plants! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Just bought two California milkweed plants there.

Gonzalo C.: Good place to buy plants. It's small but they have a good selection.

Rick Reinhard: Small area, but very well stocked

Jonnie T: Great local nursery! Can’t wait to buy more cool stuff.

Danté Vincent: A blink and you’ll miss it type of location but definitely worth a stop if you’re a houseplant enthusiast or looking to pickup some supplies. Everything is nicely labeled and they have a great room in back filled with Japanese gardening supplies, local honey, seeds and more. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Will most certainly be coming back!

Kirsten Alana Photography: Absolutely love this unassuming plant store that’s so much more than just a place to buy plants. Amazing staff that were so patient with us in our indecision. Great selection of tools for gardeners and plant-lovers. Serene and calming. This will be on our regular rotation of places to shop now.

James Weiss: Small but nice selection of natives, however we were given poor advice for transplanting. We were told to water the hole and only water monthly the desert/full sun plants we bought. However the plants are grown in part shade and they have not tolerated full sun and have withered.. I hope they will survive. I would recommend going to Theodore Payne if you are serious about native gardening.

James Tuchel: Great little plant store!

Doug Williams: Heather and Matt have created a magical space with wonderful plants and a special atmosphere in the middle of the city. The staff is friendly and helpful. Go support small business! This group is awesome.

Jack Galanty: Great, local plant nursery! The staff there is extremely helpful and knowledgeable!

Joe Mendoza: I purchase a Sylvia
