Strommen Spanish, French, German Classes and Translation: what do users think?

Roshi Pandian: !

Michael Carrone: This language class is excellent. You will learn fast. I can’t wait to start my next class. Karen is the best.

Cole Pourciau: I highly recommend Karen for Spanish lessons! I've completed three of the group courses with her and have learned so much. Karen has been great to work with. She is super patient, always pleasant and has a great teaching style. It is great to be challenged while feeling comfortable and not pressured. I look forward to completing more courses and having some private sessions!

Samira Sadri: I have Yvan Reazza as my Italian tutor. I have been working with him for 3 months now and he is the best tutor i’ve ever had. He is so patient and is always available when you need him. He is very flexible and will customize your classes to make them fun and interesting for you. He has made learning Italian so fun and i enjoy every class with him. He knows the rules better than everybody else and i would definitely recommend him. The way he teachers is amazing and he is overall so sweet and fun.

Kerry Stirling: Sara Zanelletti has been teaching me Italian for a few months. I really enjoy my time with her. She is not only a great teacher but also a very kind person. Grazie mille!!

Gina Martin del Campo: I have been learning Italian for 2 years with Garrett Strommen. I'm 3rd generation Sicilian and always wanted to learn Italian. Although it is often challenging, it has been such a blessing to have been able to be learn the language I'm most passionate about. Garrett, who grew up in Rome is so patient with me and an overall wonderful teacher. I highly recommend Strommen languages for anyone who is seeking to learn a new language either with a private teacher or in a group class setting.

Wandie K: I have been lucky enough to take classes with different Strommen teachers over the years and I'm always so impressed with the skilled, creative and kind people on the team. My French classes with Stephanie were the jumpstart I needed to start learning French again after years of "I should really take French classes." She was very gentle and kind with my anxiety about my skill level and the lack of practice I'd had over the years. She was able to completely repair my confidence in actually learning French, now I just have to keep practicing!

Eric Pierre-Louis: Stephanie really helped guide my French progression - providing examples, exercises, and tips/tricks for critical topic areas. Her professional easy-going style easily fits with any learning style!

Toni C: I've been using Strommen for years, learning different languages. I like both the small group classes and one on one sessions. I especially love Valeria. She is so knowledgeable, patient, and makes learning fun. I feel so lucky she's my teacher. Truly a gem.

Madeline DiNonno: I've had the privilege of studying Italian with the amazing Vanessa Spinetti for the past few years! She is a native speaker who is very creative and innovative with her teaching style. I highly recommend Vanessa. I also recommend Strommen as I have taken language lessons at many schools, virtual and in-person and they do offer the best!

Paige Annette: Stephanie is my French tutor and she is amazing! I’m so happy I found her! She’s personalizes each lesson to each student. She’s very detailed knowledgeable and patient! Hidden gem!

Aliya Chen: I've been taking group French classes with Erin and she's amazing! She's super patient and kind, and she happily accommodates every student regardless of proficiency. She adjusts the pace based on our needs and tailors lessons to our personal experiences, so that I feel like I can already use French in real-world situations even after just a couple months. Definitely recommend Erin for an awesome learning experience!

Diana Gould: Erin is an excellent French instructor. The classes are interesting and fun and I'm enjoying them. If you are interested in learning French, I would definitely recommend Erin.

Cherif Gueye: Since December, I’ve been learning French with Erin, she’s genuinely the best teacher I’ve had. So kind, patient and specific to my ambitions in the language. She carefully builds programs for me that come to life in our 1:1 sessions. After about three months, I was comfortable enough to only speak French during our classes. She created a sage space for me to stumble into words and phrases, never making me feel like I wasn’t improving. In July, I went to Europe and saw family, surprising them with my ability in French. Shoutout to Erin for her teaching!

Guk yun Kwon: I've been taking classes with Erin for around 3 years. She is friendly teaching English. I definitely recommend her if you need English or French tutor.

Dmitry Bogatov: My teacher is Erin and everything is great. I like it a lot!

Thaïs Castrale: I started Italian classes with Vanessa 2 months before going to Italy for a full month.I highly recommend her if you want to take your learning at a quick pace and are committed to the homework load.I was happy to train and learn while in Italy by speaking the language every single day and felt very comfortable. She gave me a solid base. She provides tools in all areas for you to surround yourself with the language in a daily basis: from reading recommendations to songs and films, to news. She guarantees you can move fast through the grammar book.Advancing a chapter per class if you are committed.

Kim Minji: Erin is absolute great teacher. I've took her lesson for this few months as a group session and it's been very good. She's always making sure everyone's doing well and always makes class fun and easy to understand. Thanks Erin!

Christine N: I definitely recommend Vanessa if you're looking for a French tutor. It was towards the end of the school year when we realized we really needed a tutor, and fast. After searching online and calling many places, Strommen was reasonably priced and immediately available for virtual tutoring. Vanessa was personable, accommodating and jumped right into the curriculum. She helped my daughter with homework and study for tests, and definitely improved the final grade.

Beverly Hills Lingual Institute: what do users think?

Sergio Macias: I enrolled in beginner Greek 3 years ago when remote classes were made available. Completing the enrollment process online was slightly confusing as I was completely new to the process but the staff member that called to follow up was patient, friendly and most of all helpful. I felt very well taken care of.My instructor Stefania is always positive and encouraging and our pace is so catered to my needs. Classes are both textbook heavy, filled with real life lessons and include rounds of practice that are invaluable. I have learned so much ... we navigate through the complexities of the language with no short cuts so we have a deep understanding. I especially enjoy learning the background to words that help put perspective into what has become an intuition for the Greek language - even with what still seems like a limited vocabulary. I am excited to use it with family abroad and have genuinely enjoyed sharing the experience with my classmates. If I had the time I would take on another language or brush up on my Spanish - the point is I am motivated and happy to be enrolled and learning at BHLII have a very heavy work schedule and a full life so I am grateful to have been allowed make up classes - and it is fun to have an occasional student visit my class as they make up a class too.

Marvin Barrera: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueSidney, one of their French teachers, has patiently taught me French these last three years. Excellent teacher and great school!

Feryal Farahzad: I have been studying Italian for the past 2 years with Valeria and I enjoy it a lot!

Roman Young: Very friendly, organized and communicative about how to get started.

kathleen harrington: Teachers are very good! I am really speaking Italian! A thousand thanks!

Angela Kalinowski: Very well organized and amazing language school. I originally started a few years ago taking Portuguese with a lovely teacher named Cristiane. Now recently started Spanish class. All classes are small so you feel like it is almost private but with the bonus that you can interact in your language of choice w classmates. I can see the owner takes a lot of pride in choosing wonderful teachers and front desk staff. Lots of good vibes and energy all around! Big bonus that parking is also available in the building for a small fee after validation.

Angirson Lopez: Good job, Silvia is the best. I just need to be quicker.

Guillaume cds: I have been studying italian for two years at the Beverly Hills institute. I feel very fortunate to learn with such a wonderful and passionate teacher like Patrick. It is the perfect environment to learn a language after work. Great location, absolutely lovely and helpful team, very accommodating and professional management. The prices are more than fair for the quality of the teaching and the prime location, I highly recommend the Beverly Hills Institute.

Galya Alfreihi: Under the new management the school became WAY NICER and more friendly than what it was.I've been coming here for few years, studied 4 languages total so I had a lot of experiences at the school. All of my teachers were amazing, and I'm not just saying it to be nice. They are friendly and present the material in an easy understandable way. Classes are normally very small 3-6 people. If you are interested in taking French go to professor Pascal!

Danella Dutton: what do users think?

Gabriella Puente: We had such an awesome time learning salsa from Danella for our wedding first dance and also have stayed on for general group classes because we are loving sharing this hobby as a couple! Danella is an incredible teacher, she commands the group lessons masterfully but also takes the time in individual lessons to coach, refine, and add styling. We are excited to continue coming back to Danella's classes!

Julia Curran: I've taken salsa and bachata classes on and off over the years from many different instructors and Danella is hands down the best. She teaches you how to know and get into your body, hear the music, and actually DANCE! She is encouraging and motivating, helps you figure out and achieve your personal goals, and regularly hosts workshops and social events to help you level up.Equally important is how Danella fosters a genuine sense of community and creates something really special that I haven't found at other dance studios. This is most certainly due to the tone of friendship and respect that she sets, how much fun she makes class, and just the gem of a person that she is, which in turn attracts great students. I have made so many great friends at her studio and absolutely adore everyone in class. The past year as Danella's student has felt like coming home to myself, and taking her classes has been one of the best decisions I've made.

Neill Clark: Danella's classes have the best community and its the best place to learn salsa! She breaks it down in a way that is easy to learn with plenty of practice to remember it!

Megan Besecker: Danella is an amazing instructor and creates a space for learning and building community. She teaches you about how to dance with your body, with the music, and with a partner -- she covers it all in different ways so that something will stick with everyone! Each six week series gives you new information to grow as a dancer, and within the six weeks, you really see your progression! I am addicted and now take classes 2x a week. Private lessons are also worth it. I wouldn't take classes anywhere else - highly rec!

John Sylvain: Awesome teacher!!!

Amy B: I just finished my first Salsa series with Danella and I have to say it has been an amazing experience, so much that I signed up for a second series. Everyone is very welcoming and we learn so much from each other. I love the way Danella structures the class and her positive energy. She makes learning salsa fun and creates an environment where everyone feels comfortable dancing. She is a very knowledgable instructor and I am very happy that I discovered her. I highly recommend taking her classes.

Dylan Sydneysmith: Danella is a fantastic teacher and also just a great person to be around. Not only does she really know her stuff, but she also has a really great grasp on the pedagogical aspects of being a dance instructor. I learned a lot despite knowing NOTHING going into it. Not only that, but Danella was also just really fun and our private lessons always flew by. We will definitely be signing up for more!

Jackie: I took Salsa Beg/Int. Group class with Danella she is an awesome teacher. She taught timing which was new for me. She is passionate about what she does and has great energy. It’s a good class! Recommend taking her.

Ilona Ska: Fantastic classes and an incredible teacher! I've had many instructors in my life and Danella is one of my favorites. She keeps things moving, challenges you, and is very patient with everyone's learning tempo. I highly recommend all of her classes.

Saroya Sandiford: Danella is one of the best dance teachers in LA, hands down! She's versatile, knowledgeable, patient, and so encouraging! Her classes are always a good time and filled with so much energy. I'm an experienced dancer and I always learn something new from her. She takes her time to work with each student, provides feedback, and helps you focus on the areas you need to improve. She values technique over flashiness, but don't let that fool you. Her partner-work and footwork combinations can get tricky. She has also built such a wonderful student dance community! Everyone is welcoming. She offers beginner, immediate, and advanced salsa on1 and on2, bachata classes, and student workshops and socials. If you are looking to improve your dance skills or just starting your dance journey, Danella is my go-to!

Stephen Reilly: Danella is an excellent teacher. I've been taking her salsa class for 6 months and I've learned so much. She creates an environment where I feel comfortable dancing and look forward to going to class. I’m wowed at how great she is in explaining the subtleties of certain techniques all while keeping the class engaged.Definitely recommend her for people of all skill levels.

Thomas Ash: Danella is one of a kind. Her dancing, lead and follow, look incredible and her teaching will take you to the next level. The classes have structure so you always know where you're going and what your goals are, both in each class and further forward. Also they hit the perfect balance between being fun but also challenging so that you can really move out of your comfort zone and push your dancing to the next level. And overall Danella is just a great, motivated teacher--she's very observant and somehow manages to give everyone detailed individual advice during classes whilst keeping a whole group class going.

Justin Estoque: I've been taking Danella's group salsa class for 6 years now, starting with beginners and moving up. Danella is both a skillful dancer and teacher, a rare combination in any performing art. This is evidenced by her loyal student following, and her group classes which are always full. She follows up with practice and review videos, and even shares her music. Her routines are challenging in both the choreography and the detail of technique she teaches, which mean than you are guaranteed to become a better dancer if you stick with her. She has unstoppable energy in each class. But the best part for me: her group classes are FUN!

Ala'a Amer: Danella is an amazing instructor.she is very dedicated and patient.I took group salsa classes with her in Hollywood and I enjoyed it a lot.In fact, I am willing to sign up with her again in the next few months.I recommend her to all my friends.

Ismael Alvarez-Aragon: Best Salsa and Bachata lessons in LA by far.

Kayla Carruthers: I’ve always known how to dance as a kid but Danella took it to a completely different level for me so far! Very easy and basic step by step, she tends to go around and help all of us and asks if we have any questions. Super efficient in her teachings and it’s all fun while we’re learning!-Kayla

I really enjoyed their Halloween and Valentines Day salsa and bachata party! The studio offers amazing classes and hosts a great, warm and welcoming community. Drum Lessons Los Angeles by Thanasi: what do users think?

Glen Gottlieb (GG): Been a student of Thanasi for about 4 months now and it’s been a great experience. Taking realistic steps to become more proficient as a drummer. The experience has been super fun and Thanasi is a wonderful teacher.

Tom Vaitsas: I just had the best lesson with Thanasi on my visit to LA!He is the best drummer, teacher and musician.I am a piano/organ player andThanasi helped me understand some rhythmic concepts that I have been having trouble with.

Mona Asadi: I play several instruments, and Thanasi is the BEST music teacher that I have ever had. He takes you up and up and up every session. He is taking my drumming to the next level and I feel for the first time in my life that I am truly STUDYING the drums. I get discouraged very easily when I am playing instruments but he always knows what to do and say to help you improve. For students who feel frustrated or stuck, he is perfect. He is honest and genuine. He is patient and kind. I highly recommend him and am really looking forward to continuing to working with him. I know Thanasi will get me to where I want to be. His prices are also very reasonable.

Alla Becker: I would like to express my great admiration for Thanasi as a wonderful teacher caring for each of his student with his heart, knowledge andProfessionalism. My grandson is Thanasi’’s student and looking forward to each lessonWith his teacher. The minute I’ve talked to Thanasi I knew I made the right choice. ThanasiTeaches his students to love music and care for it.Thanasi is real jewel in the industry of drums.I am greatly appreciate Thanasi for introducingMy grandson the world of music!

YUKUN LIU: I had tried drum lessons with multiple instructors across LA and decided to pin down here. Thanasi is super talented not only for drumming, but also for communication and teaching, a fun person to talk with as well. With some engineering background, he has a pretty clear logic when explaining the rationale behind drumming and music, from speed setting to the overall teaching strategy. For example, you'd see a full picture of how 'simple' and 'boring' looking techniques may get to the more advanced and 'fancier' level. The logical instruction is particularly what made me take lesson here for a long term. Also, Thanasi can point out nuance of sounds and give advice accordingly, such as stability levels of your rhythm and difference made by stick holding positions. And, there're parking spaces directly in front of the studio.Highly recommended!

Malia Musick: My 16 year old daughter loves Thanasi’s lessons! He is really patient and kind but also very detail oriented and encouraging. She has really improved so much over the course of just a few lessons. Thanasi has a very good structure in place for her to follow and it’s also fun and a lot of laughs. So grateful to find him!

George R: Thanasi is a great and very knowledgeable drummer in all styles of music. He has helped me master and continues to educate me on Greek music drumming. I come to L.A. frequently to study with the master.

Elena Moross: I had the chance to observe Thanasi teach my grandson, and I was thoroughly impressed. The teacher's expertise, patience, and ability to connect with my grandson were exceptional. Highly recommended!

Anurag Anand: . He's very knowledgeable

Morgan stolsig: Thanasi is by far the best drum teacher in Los Angeles. I went to a few people trying to find the best instructor for me and Thanasi was by far the most helpful, fun, and strategic. He makes sure you have a great time playing, but also really enforces the foundational steps to becoming an awesome drummer. Definitely sticking with it and I know that with his teachings I’ll be a sick drummer.

Bebeng Roberts: I love my drum lessons with Thanasi! He is a very knowledgeable and fun drum teacher! He always introduces some technique exercises that will help you immediately have what you need to perform songs right away! I am always looking forward to come back to the studio and drum every week! I would recommend Thanasi to anyone who wants to learn drumming quickly!

Cole Stamm: I’ve been taking drum lessons with Thanasi for almost a year and it has been a blast. I used to practice at a studio next to his and ran into him in the parking lot. He was super friendly and introduced himself. I was looking for a teacher in Los Angeles and reached out to him. Thanasi is fun, patient, and super encouraging. I appreciate his method of sticking with certain exercises starting slow and gradually increasing speed over time. We’ve worked on everything from stick control, accents, different rock rhythms, and even tuning drums. He’s always so flexible with scheduling and I really appreciate that in a teacher. I would recommend him to anyone at all levels looking to get learn and get better at the drums.

Luisa Lacsamana: Thanasi is an amazing drum teacher!I started taking lessons with him about six months into picking up the drums and he was able to identify and fill in the gaps that I was previously missing. His teaching style has given me a deeper understanding of drumming techniques and fundamentals, and he challenges me in many ways that have allowed me to make significant progress in my playing.Apart from being an excellent teacher, Thanasi is also a really great person. He is always so positive and encouraging which makes learning fun and I genuinely look forward to every lesson with him!! You can tell he cares about his students and loves his job.Overall, I highly recommend Thanasi as a drum teacher for anyone in the Los Angeles area looking to take their drumming skills to the next level!

marianna pap: I ‘ve been wanting to start drum lessons since i moved to Los Angeles and finally decided to search online! I am very glad i found Thanasi. He is a very fun drum teacher, helped me with hand technique and play songs from the beginning. Also the drum studio and drum sets are great! I would recommend Thanasi to anyone who wants to play the drums!

Joe Dzuban: Thanasi is an amazing drum teacher and musician! My son has had drum lessons for almost 3 years now and his progress has been remarkable. Thanasi is a one-man drum school - providing great teaching in musical fundamentals as well as tailored lessons to challenge and learn. His positive attitude and energy always make lessons fun. Whether it's learning the basics of drums from the ground up, sight-reading or jamming on contemporary styles, Thanasi has it covered. We are grateful to have him as our teacher, and highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn drums.

Anthony Catchatoorian: This was so much fun! I just took my first drum lesson with Thanasi! He is such a patient drum teacher, and he simplified his explanations. I am definitely coming back!!!

Marian Parazo: Thanasi is awesome! He’s knowledgeable, encouraging, entertaining, flexible, easy to communicate with, and makes you feel comfortable learning at any level of experience. I recommend him to anyone interested in playing the drums!😎🤘🏽🥁

Steph Nicole: Hands down the best instructor I have ever met. He is so dedicated to his students! I found him on Groupon when my son and I first moved to Los Angeles in 2015. My son was just 14 and a freshmen in high school when he first started. Two years later, Thanasi was taking me to buy my son's first drum kit as a surprise 16th birthday present. My son will be 21 this year and is still a student. I get teary thinking about how good my son has gotten and how much our family loves Thanasi. He is more than a drum instructor, folks. So much more! WE LOVE YOU THANASI!!

3rd Street Dance: what do users think?

Vikki: Smaller than I thought from photos but really nice people. The windows are nice!

Alain H.: I had an awesome and very instructional beginner's salsa boot camp today, led by Gina! Will definitely be attending more classes in the future.

Aseel Nazer: Excellent work excellent staff

Mark Maccora: I have learned so much about how to be a good leader and partner from the excellent teachers at 3rd Street Dance. It has allowed me to be much more confident on the dance floor, and I can apply the lessons to others parts of my life, as well. The community is also great. Thank you for such an inspiring and transformative experience!

Dee Gee: Beginner Dance salsa was a lot of fun! Gina and the other instructor were great teachers, super welcoming, high energy. For partnering that have you form two circles with leads on one side and follows on the other. Very inclusive of folks who want to lead/follow regardless of gender identity.

Robert Gish: Both the , Kizomba class, and teacher, and the salsa class and teachers were excellent

Huyen Bui: took the beginners salsa bootcamp here. amazing class, great teacher. would do again and highly recommend

Francesco Civilini: Great atmosphere and friendly people.

Bryan Sanson: It was great. We were able to social distance in the parking lot everybody had Mask and there was hand sanitizer they also had sheets of wood to dance on. Other than that instructor Leslie is a great person to be around she always has great energy.

Melissa K. Dagodag: We took ten private lessons with Tamas and he was amazing! He choreographed our wedding dance and really made us look like we could dance by about lesson number 7. The last few lessons became enjoyable because we knew the moves so well. And, best of all, our wedding dance went spectacularly well on our big day. I can't say enough about how grateful I am to our patient and skilled teacher!

Soho Dance LA: what do users think?

paul baddoo: Insane experience I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get some calories burned.

Andrea Shink, CDRE: I've been taking several group classes each week at Soho for nearly a year and love it! The classes are fun, the instructors are helpful, and I've improved my dancing tremendously. The privates have proven integral in me upping my skill and styling, but my one regret is I didn't start taking private lessons sooner, as now I have to unlearn bad habits. :/ They've created a warm, friendly and judgement-free community at Soho. Come dance with us!

Samuel Smith: Me and my husband decided we wanted a choreographed dance for our wedding, so as gays do we started taking dance lessons a year in advance. We met with our fabulous instructor Tamas Kardos several times in 2021, and then decided to take about 8 more classes the months leading up to our wedding in 2022. We mashed together two songs with a classic ballroom waltz which transitioned into salsa. We provided Tamas the mixed tracks and he was able to create a choreo for us that captured the emotions of both songs. He's a very good teacher for beginners, while also able to introduce some more complicated moves as you learn. We want to keep taking classes with him! We also set up a small group salsa lesson with him to get our guests excited!
