farouq akhdar: I have had several personal trainers throughout my life and my experience with Shawn has, by far, been the best out of all of them. This is because Shawn's approach is far more holistic than simply doing weights and gym training. For life-changing results, there are other, more important factors, like sleep and meditation that need to be explored. Shawn does this unlike other trainers and this is why I have seen better results than with those other trainers. For example, I was able to see my body start taking shape for the first time in my life and lift weights I was previously unable to lift. I also appreciate the fact that Shawn listens and responds well to questions, I am never afraid to ask him questions and this is one of my favorite things about him. Overall, he is not only an extremely educated and curious individual that knows what he is doing but he is also an overall great human being to learn from.

I see Shawn multiple times a week and my body and mind have continued to improve on an upward trajectory. In the last year my life has changed drastically for the better. Shawn helped to heal my mind and body well enough that I have been able to start dating, traveling, spending more time with friends and family after years of isolating behavior. steve phillips: After my wife and I retired we sustained what one Doctor prescribed as “Refridgeritus.” Food that was readily available. We thought we were eating “healthy food” and gained a lot of weight and seemed every joint ached with movement. Before Shawn's intervention, I was in and out of hospitals for over 13 years and had 5 heart catheters and 10 stents supplanted into my arteries. My testosterone levels were in the range of 200 and didn’t have a lot of energy and I was on 8 different medications.Since working with Shawn’s program for the past 5 years my testosterone has jumped to 800. That's pretty good for being 70. I lost 43 lbs. and my wife lost 28 lbs. and have never felt better. We have more energy to exercise and more stamina to work out. He has encouraged us every step of the way. That means they never pull out their phone and text between sets. And they are very flexible, accessible and responsive via text. Since I’ve been working with them for the last year I have had massive gains in strength, stamina and injury reduction. More and more we see people jumping on the personal trainer band wagon. But these guys are pros. They live the fitness they are teaching and it shows. Totally recommend Fittofly to anyone serious about taking fitness to the next level.

Paul Kim: I've been getting personal training at Fast Lean Fit from Dan for the past 3 months or so now, and it has been an amazing experience. I made significant progress in losing weight and building strength.Dan is friendly, personable and knowledgeable. He actually cares about your fitness goals and motivates you to improve in life, not just in fitness.The gym is private & comfy and has all kinds of equipment for every type of workout. The best part for me is that the workouts are not boring. I did a lot of functional body exercises, weight lifting, rowing and more. It has a nice, clean sauna and cold plunge, which I just got to experience as well.Highly recommend this place if you want to improve both your health and life.

Manoj Murali: I signed up for the 50 min sessions and trained here for 4 months.First impressions - If you've been to other gyms before, you might find this a little unusual in the beginning. It is not a traditional gym with the familiar equipments you can sit on and workout.Dan, the gym owner and the lead trainer was excellent in being welcoming and gets along well with you to meet your goals. He clearly lists down a plan and maintains a file where in he logs your training sessions. Fortunately he was also my trainer.His initial methods were mostly using body weight and resistance bands giving attention to form, range and core balance. Gradually he switched me to dumbell and bench workouts. We had a lot of chats during the training sessions. It was fun !Towards the end, Dan got busy and there was Rodney a new trainer in the gym from NYC. His methods were different altogether, using kettle-bells, cable machines, etc. but both sure did teach me a lot about what all to watch while exercising a muscle group.Now, during this time of lockdown I teach my friends from most of what i learnt from Rodney and Dan.Thanks to FLF!

He provided an 8-week postpartum diet, cardio, and strength plan. It allowed for modifications as a breastfeeding mother and was very doable, though it required a lot of dedication as expected. I worked with personal trainer Dennis who is very knowledgeable, prompt, and flexible with training times. They are both bodybuilders and are very knowledgeable about diet and fitness, including knowledge beyond just heavy lifting. I am fitter and stronger than I was before having both babies and they have refreshed my dietary habits such that I have been able to maintain my weight during the holidays with ease.

He doesn’t give you a cookie-cutter plan; I have a few physical limitations and my gym doesn’t have the widest variety of equipment and he was very understanding and helped find the right exercise substitutions.I found the diet plan really helpful because it’s flexible enough where I can try different foods, but specific enough about how much and when to eat so I actually see results. Tiger's workouts are also very interesting and fun. One of my favorite exercises is rope climbing; if you wish Tiger will teach you rope climbing with safe technique and it's very fun and rewarding. Rather it is a combination of good healthy eating and effective exercise.I just want to add that other trainers in the Brentwood UP gym are also friendly and very supportive. Christina Lee: Can’t recommend this place enough! I searched around different training locations and wasn’t satisfied with what was out there. What I love about UP is that they are data and results driven and have an incredible team that is highly trained and knowledgeable. I learned so much and was able to push myself more than I had ever before. Shout out to my trainer Mark who did a wonderful job being encouraging and keeping sessions fun, but also pushing me hard when I needed it.

Eddie has a gift of extreme thoughtfulness and patience to push me to and past my limits, even and especially on the days I show up on the struggle bus.I have worked with several trainers at other well-known gyms, and I can whole-heartedly say, Eddie and UP belong in a whole other category. The combination of the workout regimen with nutrition, sleep, and continuous tracking of it all, it’s far more than just personal training. I am the strongest I’ve ever been and he got me in 3 months what it took several years with other trainers.Eddie has also helped me work toward finding balance in my nutrition, in sleep, and leaning into other aspects of self-care. Everyone is mostly doing their own thing with their trainer, but you see familiar faces on similar schedules and sometimes when you’re pushing the prowler for the nth time, getting cheered on by other trainees, as well as other trainers is just what you need to hear. So thank you if you’ve been on the delivering end!

Edward Meloyan: Hello, my name is Edward & I’ve been going to Ultimate Performance for almost 9 months. The journey has been amazing & will continue. My trainer, Eddie Escobar is the most amazing trainer I have had in my life. He is so caring, nice, calm, motivational, inspirational, & goal driven. He has helped me lose about 45 pounds & still continues to transform me. He definitely gets all the credit! To be honest, to me, from watching all the trainers train their clients, he’s the best one. He is always on top of his game and knows exactly what to do to help you understand the exercise correctly. I am proud to be trained by him 3 times a week, every week.The gym itself is very nice, clean, and you get the feeling of safety when you’re there with your personal trainer. I’ve been to a couple of high end gyms, and had personal trainers there, but they did not transform me as fast and as easily as Ultimate Performance. I am a proud member of this gym. I wouldn’t recommend another.I started off at this gym at 220 pounds and the lowest I’ve been has been 173 pounds. I mean, incredible right? In only 8 months! To be honest, before I started I had a gastric sleeve surgery 5 months prior to my starting date at ultimate performance. After the first 4 months of surgery, I was down 40 pounds. I was at 250 pounds prior to surgery and I went down to 210 pounds. But on the 5th month post surgery, I gained 10 pounds back and was feeling hopeless and miserable. I realized it’s time to put in some hard work, so I joined Ultimate Performance in the hopes of becoming 5% body fat. Well after almost 9 months I went from 30% body fat to 17.5% body fat. I will continue going to this gym until I am 5% body fat and after that I will most likely stay at this gym to grow bigger muscles.I also want to thank the founder of Ultimate Performance, Nick Mitchell, for starting this amazing gym full of the most educated personal trainers. The gym truly does stand up to the words “Worlds leading Personal Trainers”. They can seem too good to be true, but my trainer Julian Leano and I achieved the results as advertised. I went from 176 to 158lbs in 12 weeks and achieved the six pack I never had in my 37 years of existence. I signed up for another year and hope to add ten pounds of muscle while maintaining a lean aesthetic physique. If you’re hoping to transform your appearance, confidence, discipline, and lifestyle, this is the place to do it!PS- Julian is great at accommodating injury and limited range of motion into the training plan. I struggle with a shoulder injury and have had poor mobility/flexibility my whole life. We’re actively working to improve on all this while working on our lifts.

I had tried by myself so many times and had never made any real progress without going to extremes. I knew I was doing something wrong but didn't know what. I was looking for a place that could help me understand both nutrition and exercise rather than going to different specialists for each. UP delivered! I've had the pleasure of having Killian as my trainer and simply am astounded that the progress we've made. He's caring and can share tough truths with support. I've surpassed my goals and have learned valuable tools that I intend to take with me for life. They say this isn't a gym to stay at long-term but I can't imagine continuing on my journey without Killian and the UP team! If you're serious about your health and fitness, I cannot recommend this enough!

FightFit made the process of getting into it seamless and are very communicative regarding your training. The classes are great for learning and cardio and the trainers are really cool people. I've gained 14 pounds, and I'm only coming for 9 sessions a month and working out for 30 minutes at a time. That's how effective this program is.I have to give a special shoutout to trainers Jimmy and Francis for being so great. They're both incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and motivating, and they really go above and beyond to make sure that every client is getting the most out of their workouts. Shoutout to Garrett for pushing my mobility and really helping me see improvement each time I see him.Overall, I can't recommend The Training Loft enough. Kyle Borg: You will not find a better trainer than Greg. First, he is extremely nice, laid back, knowledgable about training and not bad to look at during your session. Second, he is very honest, which for Hollywood is refreshing and he is funny.Greg is focused on helping his clients feel good about working out, which for me, drives me to return. Since living in West Hollywood requires that you go to the gym on a regular basis, Greg is the best trainer I have found. He pays attention during your sessions, pushes your advancement and he hands down trains at the best private gym in town.I have had one-on-one training, but have joined his group training sessions recently. I usually stay away from group training because there can be so much attitude in WeHo Gyms. Not with Greg. His easy going attitude makes the entire group feel at ease and where he trains is clean, has great equipment and doesn't get crowded so you don't have to wait for a machine.Even if you think you can't afford a trainer, I am telling you, get a training sessions with Greg. His pricing is very reasonable, particularly if you join a group session. Perhaps you can't see him frequently, but he will definitely help you focus on your fitness and health.

He also fits in core training and stretching into our sessions, both of which are weaknesses of mine.Greg is also personable and very funny. I've never worked out before with such an entertaining person. And he obviously practices what he preaches as he himself has a muscular body and six-pack.
