I got a very nice ceramic cup that comes with tea strainer when you want to drink tea and the strainer comes off and it can be used for coffee and it has a lid. Mot only that, I found some cool things. Definitely coming back for more cool things. Hi guys, you are awesome.
Larry Wiener: My house was flooded and I needed new furniture and many new household items. I heard about ,Son of a Vet. I decided to try it out. I was not disappointed.The shop is full of vintage furniture and many, many kitchen items such as food storage and dishes. Most of their stuff is in really good condition.The owner is very helpful and much of the merchandise is very high in quality. I bought a lazy boy recliner a living room table and several kitchen serving pieces. Very reasonably priced, fairly close to what I see in charity thrift stores.The store was a godsend for my needs. I wish I had discovered it earlier. It would have saved me a lot of running around. If you are just setting up a house or an apartment from scratch, this is a great place to start to get good merchandise at a good price.The person at the counter was very helpful.Parking is a little bit crowded. One time I had to park two blocks away, but it was worth the walk.

OMAR A. MUHAMMAD, TH.M: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul claims it is the largest thrift store in Los Angeles, which certainly seems true. Upon entering, it feels like an indoor swap meets market. The store offers a great variety of items for purchase, ranging from washing machines to automobiles and from large house furnishings to kitchenware and small appliances. While I found the prices fair, they were too high for my budget. Nonetheless, there is something at this thrift store for everyone. I plan to return when I have more time and money to explore further.

Mitsuko: This place is truly a hidden gem. My girlfriend and I started coming a year ago and stop by every few weeks to donate or shop around. Staff is very kind. They have clothing, cassettes, CDs, books, art, trinkets, accessories, silverware, etc. There is a small dressing room to try on clothing and everything is reasonably priced. Even if you don’t end up purchasing anything, it’s always fun to poke around. Plus, proceeds benefit the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic.

MW O: I really love this thrift shop, they’ve always got great stuff, but the hours today were a bit confusing. I got to the shop with some of my friends and there was a sign saying they’d be back at 3:45, no biggie, we walked around and came back at 3:50 but they still weren’t open. We waited another hour until 4:55 but they still weren’t open. Lights were on but no one picked up the phone. Was disappointed, but it seemed a bit off, so hopefully it wasn’t an a emergency or anything :(

T S: This place is great, and there's parking in the back! I've been here a handful of times now. I have sold some stuff with them, it was fine. Of course they don't take everything, regardless if it's still got tags or is designer or whatever... they CURATE based on what they know will sell. That's why I like shopping here, I know I have a good chance of finding something cool, fast. There's a security guard, the place is clean and organized. I've only had nice interactions with the staff through the years. I've found some great things!! I appreciate it!

I was able to get, kitchenware, a kitchen table, two kitchen chairs, a lamp, and a food tray for an arrorable price! On top of it they were so generous enough to drop it off at my home and take me to another thrift shop to pick up more furniture and drop that off at my home too! Employees were kind and chill and lent a hand when we needed help.Luis, the Owner of the shop helped my family out. We were looking for a hospital bed for my immobile sister and he actually had one. We told him how she became disabled, and how we had been struggling to look for a hospital bed. Luis had sympathy for us and actually offered the bed for free. Initially we denied and tried to compromise for such a resourceful item but he insisted. He told us that if we truly needed it to take it. At that point we didn't hesitate to agree. He willingly put his intent to profit to the side, and for this we could not be any more grateful. Thank you, Luis.

Found lots of 50s vintage treasures here including handbags and dresses. I regularly donate plus size fashion, lots of plus size jeans and pinup finds. Definitely worth a visit. Donation hours are m-f 8am-3pm, Saturday donations can be taken to the green gate on side from 10-5.
Daniel Stevens: I really like this thrift store. I have been there twice now, about 6 months apart, and have had a great experience each time. As mentioned there are 2 levels, clothing upstairs and household stuff downstairs.The staff are really nice. I mainly go for clothes, but was eyeballing some furniture today, which they had a decent amount. The clothing sizes have been kept in order on the racks for the most part, making it easy to find my size. I have found great stuff each time I have gone, from a nice rain coat, dirt cheap, to a very nice complete dress suit setup and a couple of tshirts for dirt cheap.I'm not sure what the people with negative reviews are expecting. This is a thrift store after all, not Santa Monica Place or Fig At 7Th. But you are going to have issues with people every now and then wherever you go.

Really great stuff, especially house goods and cool vintage clothes. I decorated my wedding with thrifted dishes, glassware, cake holder, etc. I got some great pieces here and a cute brown leather belt. I have also donated my gently used items here. I’m an animal lover so I really love that it’s for animals! 🏼🐕🐾
Heidi Schoendorfer: I love shopping at Start Rescue Resale. It’s my favorite boutique thrift store in the valley. I have gotten quality brand name clothing there for extremely fair prices. Their salespeople are fantastic, especially Arlene. She has really great taste and always makes suggestions for things I would never think to buy. The best thing about this place is all the proceeds go to rescuing homeless animals from euthanasia. I highly recommend shopping here.

The proceeds go to help animals as well, meaning it's good for your wallet, good for the environment, and good for puppies and kittens.The integrity of the staff is absolutely unmatched. I dropped $20 out of my wallet and didn't realize, leaving the store. The owner followed me out and gave me the money that I dropped. She easily could have kept it and I would have had no idea, but she returned it from the straight up goodness of her heart. If you can only go to one thrift store for the rest of your life, this would be a good one
C N: I am grateful for everything they do, they work extremely hard to support rescue animals.The staff leaves much to be desired now- not as friendly as they once were.They are also quite picky as to what they accept for donations now, and their prices are much too high for a resale place.

liberty koppelmann: Buffalo exchange is my other go to place to shop ! They have sales discounts and 50 % tag prices too. Staff is always helpful. There was a salesperson, John, who was such a doll ! So helpful and just pleasant to deal with. I have found amazing items there.

Ethan Grabel: I had a great time finding used clothing here! Lots of options available and great customer service for finding certain styles and good fits. Most of the reviews I read are for people getting little money from selling their clothes. I sold some clothes and got what I expected to get for selling used clothing to a used clothing store. I highly recommend talking to the staff as they know what they are doing.
