It's one of those stores that you'll want to pop in often to see what new pieces they have. We found great ceramics, pillows and a chair, but they had a bunch of lamps and artwork I wanted as well!

Cosette Simon: I have been obsessed with the Ethnicraft Slice expandable table ever since I saw it. But no way would i pay $4400 for a dining table. Found it on sale for $3600 on black friday but that still seemed like too much. And then i discovered that Modern Resale had one for less than half that. I was thrilled and jumped on it. I was worried about buying used, sight unseen. But Kyra assured me as to the condition of the table and she was absolutely right. The upholstery warranty had lapsed after 1 year and Tesla’s solution was to replace the entire seat for $2,000. They would not repair it. Mr Mister: I had to get seat belts repaired and needed to buy the seat belt cloth for the repair. The owner of the shop was very professional and guided me on where to buy the material, because he did not have that color belt. He told me how many yards I would need and where to go in DTLA to buy the material needed. I purchased the material, returned left him the belts, and material. I only needed one belt repaired but based on the conversation and professionalism he demonstrated, I decided to buy enough material to do both seat belts for an older first gen Toyota Tacoma. He did a great job, and they looked new. He was affordable, prompt, professional, and worth the 45 minute drive. I easily passed at least 50 auto upholstery places but none of them were this professional.

George at Best Way Auto Upholstery quoted me a price that was almost $2000 less than what I was quoted at my local Honda Dealership. Scheduling a day and time to bring my car in was easy and despite being a very busy shop, George knew who I was when I called to confirm, when I arrived, etc. The shop had plenty of fancier cars, including restored classic cars, but I never felt like my business was any less important. The fabric and installation was top notch, done in a day, and I got my car back cleaner than it's been a very long time. Also, the price I was quoted was the price I paid. This was a positive experience from scheduling through installation. I highly highly recommend this shop. FYI, I have no relationship with the shop or the owner and don't normally write reviews. Employees were kind and chill and lent a hand when we needed help.Luis, the Owner of the shop helped my family out. We were looking for a hospital bed for my immobile sister and he actually had one. We told him how she became disabled, and how we had been struggling to look for a hospital bed. Luis had sympathy for us and actually offered the bed for free. Initially we denied and tried to compromise for such a resourceful item but he insisted. He told us that if we truly needed it to take it. At that point we didn't hesitate to agree. He willingly put his intent to profit to the side, and for this we could not be any more grateful. Thank you, Luis.

He regaled my friends and I with stories of the many interesting customers he's served, as well as stories behind many of the pieces themselves. A five star experience in every possible way.Most importantly, Nick provides above the bar customer service. I bought a bunch of stuff including a really heavy old dresser. He gave me a good deal on it since it needed fixing up, and when it came time to pick it up, he refused to let me drive in the pouring rain and instead enlisted a colleague to deliver the dresser to me, for much less than I would have spent on a uhaul. This place and Nick are truly iconic and I can't wait to come back for more!!

The store offers a great variety of items for purchase, ranging from washing machines to automobiles and from large house furnishings to kitchenware and small appliances. While I found the prices fair, they were too high for my budget. Nonetheless, there is something at this thrift store for everyone. I plan to return when I have more time and money to explore further.

Found lots of 50s vintage treasures here including handbags and dresses. I regularly donate plus size fashion, lots of plus size jeans and pinup finds. Definitely worth a visit. Donation hours are m-f 8am-3pm, Saturday donations can be taken to the green gate on side from 10-5.
Daniel Stevens: I really like this thrift store. I have been there twice now, about 6 months apart, and have had a great experience each time. As mentioned there are 2 levels, clothing upstairs and household stuff downstairs.The staff are really nice. I mainly go for clothes, but was eyeballing some furniture today, which they had a decent amount. The clothing sizes have been kept in order on the racks for the most part, making it easy to find my size. I have found great stuff each time I have gone, from a nice rain coat, dirt cheap, to a very nice complete dress suit setup and a couple of tshirts for dirt cheap.I'm not sure what the people with negative reviews are expecting. This is a thrift store after all, not Santa Monica Place or Fig At 7Th. But you are going to have issues with people every now and then wherever you go.

William Guest: I began going to this store when they 1st opened. They are on a street that runs right along San Fernando Road. This means that parking is never a worry. Good thing too since I almost never leave empty handed.They have all the regular thrift store stuff as you would expect. But what I give them the highest marks for is the books and framed art. While you can get Jackie Collins here, you will also find art books, and small press travel books that are hard to even find. I took a fancy to a well framed watercolor which was priced at 16 plus change, and found E bay offering a similar work from 500 to 1500.
