The real “me”. The cool “me”.Well… it never said a word to me. Not a damn peep!Bryant, however, was able to sift through my over-thinking “ummms…” and nervous “hmmms…” with kindness, patience and gentle understanding. The colors displayed on the wall spoke to her like they were BFFs, as she would run from one end of the wall to the other end, to show me why stone pink can go with bright yellow .I would say, though, her two taller colleagues, did very little to help her despite my large order of cans and lengthy time spent. Not a biggie for me but wanted to make sure that F&B recognized Bryant’s hard work.Now for the paint! The quality of the paint I took home was like nothing I’ve ever purchased before—my wallet was quick to remind me.I did a two-tone wall with London Clay on the lower-half and Mouse’s Back on upper-half + ceiling. For the crown molding & baseboards, I took a chance on a muted rose color: Sulking Room Pink. And I requested their glossiest version! With an equally glossy dark grey-green called Treron for smaller accents near my door and closet door.And OMG. They’re everything I could have hoped for! You just HAVE to make sure to get the appropriate primer that matches their respective undertone
Reds painting inc: At Reds painting inc we know you really do get what you pay for having worked with many types of stains and paints in the last 30 years. If you know what you are doing and apply the paints in the correct sequence. You do achieve some miraculous stunning paint work. The Color pallet is fantastic when used on ceilings and walls. The full gloss enamel flows out and provides a sophisticated look to cabinets and doors. This is one of Los Angeles top paint stores but beware parking is tricky on Melrose Avenue.

Mike Callaghan: I just had the best experience at this store thanks to Edward.I wanted to paint my entire apartment for the first time, but had no idea what was the best store to buy paints. I was trying to choose between Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Lowes, when a friend of mine recommended Dunn Edwards and I'm so glad he did because I couldn't be any happier with the color and sheens I selected. My apartment looks amazing!But none of it would have been possible without the help of Edward, the first person to greet me when I entered the store. Edward was totally kind, friendly, funny and took his time to help me decide on my colors, sheens and quality of paint.I needed to go into the store 3 times so I could pick up various color samples to tape to my cabinets and walls so I could ensure I chose all the right colors before actually buying my paints. And each time I went, Edward was equally kind, friendly and helpful. My entire experience at the store was always fun and relaxing thanks to Edward.And now after two weeks of sanding, prepping and painting, seeing my new bright, shiny kitchen cabinets and all my walls freshly painted, I couldn't be any happier with the quality of paint and the colors and sheens.I totally recommend Dunn Edwards quality paint and this West L.A. store in particular. But most especially I recommend Edward to give you top tier advice in a fun, friendly and relaxing way.

Explained the best practices for picking a paint. She even helped us with our flooring. I would suggest making an appointment and having a few days of lead time. We just showed up and had to have a color picked by the next day. Would not recommend but Suzanne was able to help us regardless. PS we went with Sahara!

Coco Guilhem: I use the Roman clay in Shining color. I am thrilled with the result. Looks better in real than on the pictures . I attached a before/ after pictures. I also used the satin paint for the trims and was really disappointed with the quality. I attached pictures as well. Even with stretching the paint, you still can see the brush marks. The quality reminds me the acrylic paint used 20 years ago. I will definitely use the Roman clay in other rooms, but will skip the satin enamel paint. I will get a matching color at Home Depot or Lowe’s, they carry great urethane acrylic paint for cabinetry.
E: New location... Roman clay and lime wash are above and beyond regular paint; they give you an elegant finish.
David William: for our showroom. The owner and staff are very friendly and will spend all the time in the world with you with no expectations. Just good natured people selling an amazing unique product.

I thought I wanted to try their limestone wash, but I wanted to see the colors in-person before purchasing and paying for shipping up to Idaho. I'm really glad I did because seeing the larger swatches in a space I decided I liked the roman clay finish better and helped me choose other colors I hadn't even been considering. I also had bought their swatch deck awhile ago, but they were so kind as to update them with the new colors that had come out at no cost. They always provide assistance in finding certain products, plus adding their own personal suggestions. They are always friendly and helpful. One must ring the doorbell first, to control the amount of customers coming in since it’s a super small store. But aside from being small, they have many options and if they do not they’re willing to accommodate—always a great experience coming to this art store. It’s a comfort place for me since they have aided my high school artistic endeavors all the way into late adulthood with their supplies.

It's not exactly like all other Ace Hardwares, but I think there is definitely room for the usual all connected by technology and busy busy busy version as well as this version where I was for most my visit the only customer, all the sales people helpful and if they didn't know already they read the package with me to learn type scene. I think that there is room for both these in all our lives on so many levels today, so we can stay familiar with the ways it always was and now how it's becoming without it getting too new and uncaring and lacking personality and the human touch of things. I like a little humanity in my consumerism. But I like a little get it to me fast and with the touch of a button kind of flair here and there as well.

Mondays Optional: Wow! Had a fender bender and was shocked at how considerate and helpful everyone at World Auto Body was. The whole team at WAP was hands on and made themselves available. Tammy Nash: The body shop has 5 stars for a reason. The owner meets all client needs by being responsive, responsible and professional! Car repairs and maintenance can be a headache but Hov gave me such a peace of mind because I trusted his diligence. I unfortunately was in a car accident in February but luckily the World Auto Body team arrived at the time of the accident to tow my car and handle the repair! I was hesitant at first because it was my first time experiencing a tow company and collision shop being present at the accident without my need to dispatch one.

When, when I first met him he introduced me to a free Acid Stain concrete class by his supplier, KemKo and from then on my floors,and walls look like photos from the Hubble Telescope and California Cooper Iron Ore and the aqua, orange red gold sunsets. Call first, ask your question and bring your most difficult design. honesty and personal care with no nonsense answers will never waste your time. Tell them, Angeltompkins sent you for sure. love and joy to you and your projects. Ask for your contractors discount as well.
