Brandon Britt Smith (Travelin Smitty): It's definitely a fun shopping experience here. The store has a wide range of goods across many spectrums. I really liked that they carry a local clothier that makes their stuff by hand. I can also always find really cool off the wall stuff here, knick nack wise. That being said of you're looking for something 2X or larger. Remember that this is Weho, and they don't have it!

Aimee: I booked an appointment with Sterling at Gamine Beauty by the recommendation of a close friend whose haircut I was admiring, and my experience surpassed my expectations. Sterling spent the time to assess what I was hoping for in a cut, and we looked at some of the photos I brought in and we talked it over. I appreciated his clear communication about what he thought might work well with my hair type. Sterling meticulously and carefully cut my hair and made precise adjustments to give me a cut I feel so incredibly fabulous with. He’s a lovely and cool person to boot so it was fun chatting with him while he worked on my hair. Overall, a 5 star salon experience and I look forward to returning to Sterling at Gamine for my next cut.

They still look good but the tape is starting to dissolve. I’ve never tried anything else so I have nothing to compare to, but I’ve been happy with them.

I decided to color my hair in May for the 1st time and I’ll just leave it at the fact that the stylist didn’t listen to the cut or the color I wanted. Let’s just say I was botched. I was as patient as I could possibly be and after temper tantrum after temper tantrum blow drying my hair I decided to get it cut at least trim the fried hair. Never have I ever had a problem brushing my hair after the shower but with the high lights it was really damaged. So I decided to start with a cut and then go I’ll go for a single procsss when it grows out a little more in September. I walked in, showed Marissa the exact cut I wanted and talked to her about future color. She did exactly what I wanted and I cannot be happier. I am thrilled with my cut. Imagine that, having a stylist that knows what she’s doing and does not disappoint. I am so excited to come in for the color in September. I know she’s going to work her magic. Thank you so much Marissa for your patience with me, love and attention to detail. Appreciate you. Guys, go see her. She is the best and will deliver incredible results. Thank you for giving me my confidence back. Ps if she’s able to give me my confidence back with only a cut I can’t wait to see what magic she has for my color! Kathleen Lopez: I initially went to Google to look for a hairdresser that knew how to do wavy cuts for fine, thin hair and I got so much more than I thought I wanted out of my wavy cut! I have never gotten a wavy cut before but to my pleasure, Teddy is beyond knowledgeable. She is so detailed and asks questions on preferences on pretty much each part of my head. It was nice to know that the cut was a "collaboration" I have never seen my hair so bouncy and big after a cut, she has truly changed my life by also teaching me how to style and maintain my hair during the whole appointment! Sophie Jones-Kellett: Teddy is the best of the best for curly/wavy haircuts and styling!! My hair texture has been all over the place for my whole life, sometimes wavy, kind of straight in some areas, weirdly curly in others, and after one haircut with Teddy where she kindly walked me through the proper way to style my hair I genuinely have not had a bad hair day since. I feel so much more knowledgeable about my hair’s texture, it’s healthier than it has ever been with her tips, and I finally have a trusty five minute daily styling protocol that is realistic and that I can be consistent with. Her cuts are meant to look good now and grow out STILL looking good, which I can definitely attest to! The layers continue to look the way I want even after a few months. The highlights and the cut both grow out so nicely that even when the 6 month mark hits, my hair still looks natural. I first came to her with a bunch of old, crispy blonde highlights and fried ends. After just the first appointment she was able to transform the color and cut it in such a way that I can air dry it if I want and it still looks good. I have baby fine hair and have always had issues with it going flat in an hour. Not after she cut it! My hair somehow always comes out healthier after she highlights it, too! Steve Fite: I've been going to Shorty's for over a decade because I love the experience. I moved out of west Hollywood a few years ago but I still make the drive every five weeks so Christina can cut my hair. It's notoriously hard to cut but Christina has it down to a science. She's also fun to talk to. I belly-laugh at least once a session. Easy on-line appointments, cool part of town. Never disappointed.

Christina is a great listener and always executes what I’m asking for - even when I don’t know the right language to describe what I want, Christina asks the right questions to make sure she’s giving me the cut I want. Not only is she a talented hairstylist, she’s also a skilled barber - so my beard and mustache are always looking great as well. Shorty’s has a lot of skilled staff, but track down Christina for a top-notch experience.
