The lady was kind and a great teacher. Annoyingly I didn’t read the details and went to the wrong beach so was a little late, but they were happy to accommodate my late arrival which I am grateful for!

Jerry O'Malley: over the past 3 years or so when I first started in windsurfing with no prior experience. If you take the time to listen to Jeff's stories and experience, it is similar to taking a college class in the subject. It can be a rather complex hobby, with complex gear choices. As such, it is well worth the money to obtain expert fitting advice from Jeff once he gets to know one's current level to help one progress to the next level. He also gives excellent lessons in windsurfing as I have witnessed beginners make rapid progress with him and the provided training equipment in the nearby bay.

Andrew Scott: I bought a tandem Starboard stand up paddle board, that also can be a solo windsurfing or tandem windsurfing board. Jeff and Carri were very helpful in finding the right tandem and pointers on how to set up.Also, took a windsurfing lesson from Jeff. Didn't have to bring anything, they had all the equipment you needed. Instruction was very helpful for a first timer. He made windsurfing an easy experience, not as hard as I imagined. Learned how to tack and jibe. I sailed in just a few hours
Elizabeth Louros: I bought a paddleboard here and had a great experience. Jeff really took the time to educate me about the different paddleboards he sells and helped me pick the right one for me. He spent over an hour showing me how to inflate the board, deflate the board, and fold it back in the bag. Excellent customer service.

Robert Roger: Jeff at Long Beach windsurf center is the last of his bread! Amazing customer service! I purchased a two person Kayak for my wife and I. When I arrived at the store for pick up the air kayak was in a box. Jeff, took the time to unbox, and assemble the kayak with step, by step instructions! He then disassembled, again with step by step instruction! I was shown how to fold the kayak, and fit kayak, paddle, seats, even the pump, in the carry bag. Originally I did not want the kayak. I figured it would never be used do to difficulty of use. Boy was I wrong! Jeff’s instructions made this kayak a breeze! We love it. Plenty of room! My wife, and I, our dog, and anything else we might need! Thank You Jeff!!!

We are very much looking forward to playing our favorite sport. We are so happy. We learned the course last week about how to ride it. For windsurfing, our children completed the windsurfing course under the guidance of Jeff. The whole process lasted 4 hours. My children said that the instructor was very patient and learned quickly. We bought a complete set of windsurfing equipment, so I I have also signed up for next week's course. I will have more and better windsurfing experiences with other consumers. We are very much looking forward to it. Thank you very much to the owner for his careful guidance and help. In the future, our whole family can experience this sport. The fun is simply great

Michelle Guerrero: I went to check out some inline skates by Rollerblade. Jeff, the owner was really mindful about distance and safety due to covid. My boyfriend and I stayed outside and I got to try the blades on using a bench he set up. I loved them and found his prices very competitive so I decided to buy the skates and some wrist guards. We ended up chatting for a long time about all kinds of things. We really enjoyed our experience and I was happy to support a small business. Jeff told us he’s had the shop for 40 years! I’m so glad we found this neighborhood gem. Later that day, I ripped around on my new blades and it was like I was 11 years old again. I need some practice, but I was surprisingly comfortable.

Carrie and Jeff are friendly, gave me lots of great advice, and helped me into an affordable combination of new and used windsurf gear. Jeff is also a terrific instructor - he got my 12 year old windsurfing on his own in 1 lesson. My whole family has done a lesson with Jeff now...and we have all fallen in love with the sport.

My instructor Sean was lovely - so personable and encouraging. He did a great job setting me up with the right board and heading to a location that had waves appropriate for my skill level. carey wimer: it had to be the end of tim's day and we were 2 dorky beginners. he could not have been more patient, could not have been more excited about the subject and could not have been a better instructor. highly recomend him and them.
Jeremiah Graber: If you head down to Marina Del Rey to rent a paddle board, you'll find tons of places renting them out. You want to go to this one. They have good boards, spend time teaching you what you need to know, and are fair.

A De La Rosa: Tim is awesome. Great teacher & coach. He was excellent with my daughter too. Very knowledgeable and great at teaching safety which is why I took the class. Extremely worth the price we paid. We thought this was the only lesson we wanted but We both can’t wait to actually learn more with Tim now! So perfect for teen extracurricular activity too! We saw Sea Lions & Lots of birds. Beautiful ❤️Tip it may look cold but you get hot quick. Don’t over dress like us! We are alway cold and it was 55 degrees out but we both still wish we had worn shorts and a simple long sleeve. Sun screen up even if it’s overcast because when that sun pops through it’s HOT!

Hannah Fletcher: Go surf la is fantastic! I booked a private surf lesson this past weekend and Oscar was our instructor! He is a wonderful teacher and made they lesson fun and taught me and my husband a lot of new skills. Oscar helped us correct and fix our pop ups, taught us turns and worked with us on catching green waves. Since our lesson we both have been able to use and practice all the skills we were taught! This lesson definitely helped us move forward in our surfing skills and we are excited to keep learning!

Even if you are a little worried about English, the instructor's explanations are easy and the pronunciation is clear, so you don't have to worry about this. Even if you are not good at surfing or are doing it for the first time, I think you can give it a try. The beach is also good for beginners, so if you visit, be sure to stop by!

Clara Jones: Our instructor Juan was amazing! The surf company's sign up process and communication about how to prepare and where to meet was great, but Juan really set our experience apart from other surf lessons. Myself and my 9 year old daughter found his instructions and details easy to follow and his coaching out in the waves was fantastic! On top of all that he was always looking out for my daughter's safety and making sure she was having fun. The whole time in the water he pushed us into wave after wave and then also pulled my daughter back out into the waves after each ride, which she loved! We had a great time and are looking forward to coming back next summer for more lessons.
