John Kelly Chocolates: what do users think?

Mayra Matos: A place with a wide variety of artisanal chocolate and sweets, of great quality and very good prices.

Aaliyah White: I received candy from this company 3 years ago and i have never forgotten the taste or quality. It was candy heaven.

Anya Meksin: Received as a gift. Pretty sure they are the best chocolates I've ever had. The flavors are exquisite but it's the textures that really take it to the next level.

Mytao Westside: There is definitely quality and freshness found here. Although a single chocolate will begin at a price of $3.50. so it's all pricey. But the flavor and quality are there. I am a huge classic dark chocolate fan. I can compare the dark chocolate to the truffles you find @sees candy. Unfortunately didn't try anything else but it all looks very good. Great customer service. The gal who helped me went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Even tho I knew I was only going to get a dark chocolate she still answerd any questions and provided me with a great service. I do wish they would label how much cacao is in the individually sold truffles.

Jose Hernandez: Good en clean

Stanley Shimamoto: The chocolate and vanilla twist soft serve with dark chocolate/sea salt bits and almonds was the bomb.

Matthew Casey: this is the real deal. they make the products there at their shop. when you walk in, the quality of the chocolate and the depth of the smell hit you like a wall.

Serita Moises: Love the chocolates its very good and tasy.

McCain Highfill: Quintessential retail experience - Troy was fantastic and his recommendations were worth taking. The chocolate is the best I've ever had, particularly the dark!

ZC Hallare: Go for the salted dark chocolate

Katie C: Great truffles and unique flavors

Keith Nadolny: Outstanding quality

shahram sepehri: Amazing chocolates and flavors. My favorite artisan sweet shop. Great gifts for others or a treat for yourself.

Laura Fizz: Deee-licious chocolate! Especially the truffle fudge. Yummerly!

Lady Chocolatt: what do users think?

Glenn Wallace: The service was outstanding. The chocolate was even better. They have top quality Belgium chocolate that is fantastic. They make the best hot chocolate in either milk or dark chocolate. Just went again. They are so nice, friendly and helpful. I tried the turkey and provolone sandwich, and it was excellent.

Juan Montoya: I walked in to this place unexpectedly during a neighborhood walk. I was greeted by the owner whom I found out runs the place with his mother, both of Dutch descent. I found this place to be cute, quaint and cozy. The outside area is very nice since it shares an alleyway with the flower shop across the street. I got an almond milk latte and the turkey and provolone sandwich and they were both really good. Definition of a mom and pop place.

Em Allyn: **UPDATE I WAS TALKING TO MY FRIEND MERYL AND I SAID "BELGIUM? More like Belg-YUM" SO I HAD TO EDIT THIS TO INCLUDE BELG-YUM!!!**Ok Wow. I have been walking or driving past this shop so many times after it is already closed, and every single time, I think "I need to go in there!"Well folks, today I did just that and I can tell you I will absolutely be doing so again in the future.First of all this chocolate shop is so delightfully A CERTAIN KIND OF WAY. The displays and just everything about it is EUROPEAN which is sensible because the chocolates are flown in from BELGIUM. Insane how good at chocolate they are in that area of Europe where they have been working with dairy for many centuries. The lady who runs the shop, I am guessing she is THE Lady Chocolatt, is indeed a true Lady in every sense. She is a treasure and the candy is amazing plus she also has awesome coffees and even cocoa which is what I may try next.Pictured are the chocolate frogs I got a bag of today. They are not minty just pure sweet chocolate.Make your life nicer by stopping in to the Lady Chocolatt soon!

MJ H: Delicious chocolates and extremely gracious and efficient service.

Los Angeles Sign Company: Fantastic !!!!!

Ekaterina Ukhanova: Great chocolate

Dmitriy Vi: , and get some work done while at it.

Eddie Berin: and they were absolutely great. We are visiting from San Jose, California and check out promising hot chocolate shops - Lady Chocolatt did not disappoint. The owner was great - she did a quick prep of our chocolates and even gave us a taste of some new chocolate-covered orange rinds. The quality of the hot chocolate was rich, amazing flavor and thickness. It's classic rich hot chocolate - more quality cacao and not sweet sugary version. Highly recommended - 12/28/22

Kenneth Williams: AMAZING SERVICE! THIS COFFEE SHOP IS A MUST! Super sweet ,you have to try these chocolate!! They Have a wonderful Easter collection filled with chocolate eggs and VESPA BUNNIES! I have been coming every morning for years, and will continue!

Reign Barts: The best chocolate ever. love this place

Kevin Greene: best chocolate ever.

LetterPress Chocolate: what do users think?

Travis Dietz: Quite simply the best chocolate I've had in my life up to this point. The store itself is cozy and service was friendly and helpful. I was able to try a number of different chocolates they have available before buying. I would also highly recommend the tour of their facility, which comes with a tasting of a number of their different chocolates. I learned a lot about the chocolate industry and how they make chocolate in-house. The quality of the chocolate is well worth the price.Parking: There are usually spots on the small side street next to the shop.

James Bassett: Top notch husband-and-wife bean to bar chocolate maker. Truly artisinal hand-made single origin chocolates with excellent flavor. A unique offering in Los Angeles. The makers and staff are very nice and have extensive product knowledge. Treat yourself to a visit! They even offer tours of the chocolate making process. Lots of fun and delicious chocolate.

John Powers: This is an exceptional experience. The staff at Letterpress Chocolates is knowledgeable, professional, and very accommodating.

John Li: I went on the tour with my wife last year. Very informative and very interesting. Also great chocolate, we were excited to see it being sold at a nearby central market.

V' Deetz: Fun little tour. Decidant chocolate options Absolutely would recommend this hidden gem.

Merrick Madrigal: , but it's very good. Plus, they pride themselves on paying more than Fair Trade prices for their beans. I kind of wish the samples at the end of the tour had been from the bars themselves rather than dots

Clara Chia: This is a quick, random thing to do in Los Angeles. It's more fun if you are a chocolate lover. They let you taste the chocolate at the end of the tour and give you a paper to keep notes. It's really interesting how each cocoa can have such distinct flavors!I found free street parking in a residential area not too far from the building. The staff are really nice and friendly.

M J W: Fun, informative, friendly tour of a very small, gourmet chocolate factory. Family owned, handcrafted chocolate. The tour includes a chocolate tasting flight! Fun!

Michelle Keller: The chocolate at LetterPress chocolate is absolutely divine. The flavors are more intense than any chocolate you’ve ever experienced. They also have fabulous ice creams and an incredible chocolate sorbet.

Chelsea Marcantel: We had the best time on our tour and tasting -- a perfect Easter excursion! Great for a family or group of friends. Equal parts learning and snacking. Totally recommend to anyone!

Laura Frost: The tour was great, guide was lovely, and the chocolate here is simply incredible. Great way to spend an afternoon

Olivier Cali: There is no non-superlative way to say it. This is - by far - the best chocolate I've had in Los Angeles. Try their exquisite dark chocolates with hints of star fruit, nuts, warm cinnamon, floral spices, citrus, buttercream, or smokey wood. Or their matcha white chocolate. Or their intense 100% cacao bars. Or their limited editions from Hawaii or Bolivia. None will disappoint.

Julie Ray: Stopped by for a quick visit while in town. I had read about it in Edible LA and was eager to visit. We didn’t register for a tour but would love to try that another time. The staff person at the counter was friendly and helpful; we tried multiple samples before purchasing four bars. It is a small, cozy spot, I especially loved the wall with letterpress blocks interspersed with plants. Quite a few people came in while we there including a chocolate maker from Seattle! Glad to see a small, artisan business thriving!

Chef Eric's Culinary Classroom: what do users think?

Sunusi Ibrahim: I would rate it as highly satisfactory.

Steven Kiss: . Eric is very friendly and staff was nice as well. The shared meal at the end was great.

Alfredo Rodriguez-Allen: My fiancée and I took the knife skills class and we had a blast. The whole experience was fantastic. We learned a lot, we had fun, and we want to go back for more classes. Chef Eric is fantastic, and so is his staff, especially Juana! I highly recommend his Culinary Classroom.

Kristin Dyer: , and I had such a great time learning from him and his staff

Ruslan A: Had the pleasure of attending Chef Eric's Knife Skills class with my girlfriend over the weekend. I've been wanting to "sharpen" my knife skills and learn new tricks in the kitchen, where we like to spend our evenings preparing dinner after a long day of work.Chef Eric Crowley and his team were great, true professionals, very organized, friendly, and a great example of Teamwork.Chef Eric kept the class moving at a great pace, was very informative, had us practice what was taught afterwards, and there was a delicious treat at the end.Great way to disconnect, learn a new skill, AND the cost savings of preparing restaurant style meals at home is a great BONUS.Highly recommend checking out Chef Eric's school and classes!

R S: Simon had so much fun and learned a lot .Definitely recommend chef Eric and culinary lessons !!!!!!!

Nika Fouquet: The best one in West LA.Per my son, he liked it because you get real hands on experience. We've done others and he didn't like that everything was already pre-measured and laid out so all he was doing was assembling 👎🏽In his words "I wasn't learning how to cook" - So glad we found Chef Eric.

Jenny Tom: My now 12-year old son has attended all of Chef Eric's cooking camps, basic series classes and master's classes and has gained so much knowledge and experience to prepare him for a possible future as a chef. He has also had the opportunity to intern at the Culinary Classroom to become familiar with a teaching and working kitchen. Chef Eric has great people skills and teaching skills - I highly recommend his classes!

Sylvia Artalejo: Had a great experience, enjoyed the classes, loved all the recipes. Would recommend these culinary programs to everyone interested in furthering their knowledge of fine cooking & baking, for pure enjoyment or professionally.

Christopher Wolski: The Master Chef program more than lived up to my expectations. I learned more than just recipes--I learned the principles of cooking. As a teacher, Chef Eric is patient, supportive, but also exacting. He runs a tight operation--and you COOK--the certificate you get at the end is something you EARNED through hard work. If you want to learn how to cook, then the Master Chef program is the way to do it. Oh, and I'm planning to take the baking class in the near future--can't wait!

Jason Spann: I highly recommend this program! Chef Eric and his team are very attentive and supportive. They anticipate your questions and needs before you can panic. What a great learning environment, it is. I learned an abundance of skills and had fun doing it. I love that they are ready to provide resources about internships and job opportunities, if that is where you're headed. You won't be disappointed that you signed up for this program.

Amanda Meixner Rocchio: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,ValueChef Eric is extremely professional and packs so much value into one course! I couldn't be happier with the experience. It's well organized and challenging but definitely doable. Currently enrolled in his master chef program and absolutely loving it.

Peter Smith: Chef Eric is a great teacher who takes the time to show, explain and answer all questions making learning very easy.

Maria Gomez: is absolutely highly knowledgeable, experienced, well awarded and respected in the industry- as well as so patience, and kind and so enthusiastic!and his ability to explain so clearly is beyond perfect and enjoyable! From the minute you enter the school you feel so welcoming from the front Door -Desk amazing wife Jennie Co- founder who’s always so helpful in anything you may have questions about, and always kindly goes the extra mile to help! The chef assistant who’s happily share his knowledge and helps to assist the students as well,All of way to the lady who helps maintaining this beautiful school impecable!I’m grateful to them and happy I choose this school.

Lisa Wegner: I first went to this class with my son, and I have been back a few times. The classes were fun and we learned a lot. When first we enter, there is an lecture and demonstration to go over the recipes that we will be making. It's easy to understand and see what the chef is doing as he has a mirror over his workspace. After that we go into the kitchen. The class is small, and we are broken up into groups of two. Each group is given a recipe. As we work on our recipes, we are able to view the work other groups are doing and get involved with them if there is any down time. We also get all of the recipes to try again at home. At the end, we all get together and eat what we have made. We also have plenty to take home. It's an easygoing and fun experience. Thank you Chef Eric.

Miriam Wilson: Took the basic knife skills class and really enjoyed the experience. I cook a lot at home and love it but never learned any techniques so I’m pretty slow. The tips Chef Eric taught were very useful to me and will speed up my cooking. He also taught us how to care for and sharpen knives which is what I really needed since all mine are dull.We then got hands on cooking experience cutting vegetables, deboning chicken and more. Everyone in class was very friendly including the staff and Chef Eric. I found it to be a warm, inviting environment full of people who love to cook. The kitchen was very clean and the meal cooked for the end of class using our prep ingredients was absolutely delicious. I’ll be back to take more classes soon!

The Gourmandise School: what do users think?

Jackie Jefferson: I have attended numerous cooking classes in person and virtually. By far, The Gourmandise School of Cooking is part of my top 5. Pre-pandemic, one of their scheduled classes was "Walking with the Chef". We would literally walk with chef to the Farmers Market to purchase product, spices and any other items they would need to prepare their dish. In class, everyone participated. It was the high light of my experience attending the school.

michael walsh: Super fun place with really great instructors.and staff

Alicia K.: Great team activity - everyone walks away with a full stomach and a ton of cooking knowledge! Because of all the prep work Gourmandise team does, your group has time to learn from the Chef, converse together, and leisurely eat a homemade meal.

Ryan Winn: Amazing classes and great selection of teachers! Can't recommend more of you want a fun and educational cooking class

Doerte Sennecke-Chow: It left a great first impression. We are keen on experiencing this beautiful space as a venue for events or a cooking class. To be continued.

Ceraun Loggins: Took a Thai cooking class and it was really fun, Chef Laura was very knowledgeable and an amazing teacher!

Andrew Behla: The Gourmandise School is hands down the best cooking class I ever attended. My wife and I took the Izakaya class where we learned how to make classic dishes served in Japanese pubs. Our instructor, May, was incredible in sharing the history of the food and how certain dishes have distinct flavors based on the ingredients and the way they are prepared. We made five dishes at our cooking stations. The sixth was a Matcha Ginger Shortbread which was the dessert. May talked us through the preparation for the cookies in class and had the kitchen staff baked the cookies while we focused on our five dishes. The overall setup of the class and preparation were well thought out and very thorough, making it easy for us to focus on cooking the dishes during the class. The staff and support team were phenomenal in making sure we had everything we needed to make the dishes. They even gave us tofu for our Shrimp and Garlic Chive Gyoza recipe to make them vegetarian friendly. We ended the class with a feast. All of the dishes were so flavorful and authentic. One thing to note is you can bring your own wine if you wish. The Curious Palate is a restaurant/bar next door that sells bottles of wine for 50% off to students. Kudos to the Gourmandise School for creating such a unique and memorable experience. I'd recommend their classes to anyone interested in learning new recipes, meet interesting people and have fun doing it! I'm looking forward to attending future classes.

Emma Cortes: I love their classes, lots of knowledge, and information! ☺️

Jeremy Moore: I had the pleasure of joining the Sourdough 101 class today with instructor Clemence Gosset. It was absolutely one of the most fun experiences I've had in LA. The space was lovely with a great little shop in the front, tailor made to excite the culinarian in each of us. Clemence was a funny and hugely knowledgeable instructor, bouncing from proper stretch-and-fold technique to the history of Red Fife wheat with grace. Had a great time and will absolutely bring the missus for a date night class. Would highly recommend.

Devyn Kadosh: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAmazing class! I took this and learned so much, so excited to go back.

emma morken: Yum!!!!! I have taken several classes here and am always amazed at the stuff that comes out of my kitchen. The staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful and the chefs go above and beyond in sharing tips and tricks to making delicious food. Would recommend to anyone looking to expand on their cooking knowledge and make some delicious food in the process.

Jane Hernandez: My friend organized a cooking class to have Chef Jordan teach us how to prepare a 3-course meal for her birthday. We had a group of 12. I think it's safe to say everyone walked away well fed with some newly learned cooking skills.

Paul Schembri: When else in life do you get to make the same recipe with five different flours to compare flavor and texture? Amazing classes and amazing people
