CASA - The Chef Apprentice School of the Arts: what do users think?

Vanessa A Cortez: Chef Kristi is an incredible individual to learn from, not only does she instruct what one should do in terms of technique but she also goes into the why’s as well.

Michael Golembiewski: initiated, and has maintained, consistent engagement and rapport, Throughout the program. Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from and work directly with, one of the most masterful and intuitive Chefs in the booming Nashville, Tennessee finer dining world.Ultimately, if you are passionate about embarking confidently in the culinary world, and you take learning seriously, CASA is a no brainer. 5 stars :

John Ollier: This was a wonderful educational opportunity and experience for me. Everything was fairly self paced and the hands on experience in a restaurant setting was very valuable to my learning! Highly recommend CASA!

Brandon G: Brandon GuerreroTraining at the restaurant that CASA assigned me to was just amazing it’s a real eye opening experience for me. The resturant CASA assigned me to had me learning different things all the time everyday I learned something new. I really liked the fact that in the resturant absolutely nothing went to waste. The chefs at the restaurant were so welcoming and I loved that I always got to ask them questions and ask them about there journeys about becoming a chef and everyone had a different experience so I learned as much as I could While at CASA.The hands on is more than what I could ask for i got to cook, cut, clean and help with service , just seeing a resturant in motion was pretty nice.

Vicente Morales: Learning how restaurant kitchen works is sometimes good but can be busy, like super busy. I've learned as much as I could from my mentor and working in the kitchen of Carnivale Chicago, even though I actually do not work there because I was a CASA student. Working with my academic facilitator is very good and very helpful when it comes to tutoring sessions. It is a shame though that CASA Chicago school is not here anymore.

Jon Harte: I had a wonderful time with my mentor Chef Kristen and the staff that she has. I learned so much under her and through the Casa program. My academic advisor Josyln was great at keeping me focused on my work and making sure I was able to complete all I needed. I would highly recommend that if you want to further your culinary degree that this is the place to go.

Albert Kim: Great way for an aspiring chef to get their foot in the door. I learned a lot from the real-world experience I have received from long time professionals, all while making the connections needed to further my career.

Anthony Recinos: Overall this what a great experience. My mentor Joslyn was awesome! Always have the best advice and always showed that she cared about my well being and about my academics. The externship pet of the course was also great, got to work alongside chef Matt. He taught me so much!

Sarah S. Stephens: I was absolutely blown away by this program! I started in late January and graduated today June 21st. My adviser was so invested in making sure I was having a great time. She made it her personal mission to answer any question I had. What I felt was most important, sharing photos of my food was always met with encouragement, compliments, and suggestions. I love the connections I made through this program. I highly recommend anyone go here! 3

Jimmy Edwards: My personal experience, has been wonderful. Working with a chef one on one, gives you the opportunity you need to receive the best training that you can get. Whatever you need help with, the chef is right there to assist you. When it comes to training with a knife or various different types of equipment, the chef is right there to show you the correct way or answer any questions that you may have.

Maniyah Greene: When i first started the program i was a little hesitant to start. Joslyn was such an amazing advisor whenever I ran into challenges while in the program she was there every step of the way to help guide me through. Her weekly check-ins made me feel like i mattered rather than just another name in her computer. Chef Yusef from Ms.Iceys Kitchen and Bar was a great help as well. I highly recommend trying out the location not just for the lessons, but the food is also amazing. He was very patient, welcoming, and understanding which made me ready to show up and engage every time. I really recommend Casa to anyone that's ready to finally take that leap of faith to do something different to help them with their careers.

SOS: Wonderful program at RRFC. Always checking up on you and providing any help needed. Being in person help a lot with knowing how a kitchen is run.

Taja Newell: First off, without CASA I would be years behind in my career. They gave me the opportunity to prove myself and get hired at PastaBar. This is only the beginning, but CASA allowed me to get a headstart.

Mel Aguilar: Positive:Communication,Quality

Bryant Avant: I love this school. I graduated and got to cook for artist like P!NK and Rascoe Flats.

Little Kitchen Academy Los Angeles Westfield Century City: what do users think?

Lindsey Leonard: Our Son absolutely loves Little Kitchen Academy! He has been attending since he was 4 years old and is now in the older class with the 6-8 year olds. He comes home with delicious meals and he is learning to create wonderful recipes. The Teachers are all so kind and patient. He has never once come home and complained of being bored. Always great, my only complaint is that I wish they offered more classes! Thank you LKA for being wonderful!

Maryam Afrashteh: My daughter loved it!

Shannon Ye: My son LOVES LKA and can't stop talking about it! The manager and the staffs are very friendly, loving and accommodating. My son feel very pround of what he made after the lesson. We will definitely come back!

Nataly Bryce: My 6-year-old and 8-year-old haven't stopped raving about their delightful experience at Little Kitchen Academy. They returned home eager with new skills, such as knife usage, and a newfound enthusiasm for coming up with savory sauces. The anticipation has been ignited, as they eagerly await their next session, enticed by the promise of a dessert-themed class! 😍 A word to the wise for fellow parents: aim to arrive 25 minutes before class concludes to capture pictures. I learned this the hard way as I missed a photo opportunity at pickup. A definite thumbs-up for this cooking activity! 👍🏾

Kathy Patalsky: Loved it! Will definitely book my kiddo again. She really enjoyed the class and being so independent in the kitchen with her own station and tools.

Jihan Shaw: My son has been attending Little Kitchen Academy for the past 2+ Years and i don't have enough words to express our gratitude for this experience and opportunity. There is many aspects of Little Kitchen academy that is important. This is not only a cooking class for kids. which in itself has taught Tibo to expand on his mobility and dexterity. The space itself is stunning, super Clean. Very well thought off and intentional. The recipes are DELICIOUS! the ingredients are fresh. This is a MUST do for your child. i am a big advocate to come across this and i would highly recommend it to any parent.

Tina V.: "Three years into our Little Kitchen journey, and it's still a highlight for my daughter, who started at age 3 and is nearly 6 now. Avery and the entire team embody warmth and patience, creating a nurturing environment for budding chefs. The program offers new and exciting classes consistently that go beyond mere recipes. Kids delve into essential cooking concepts, master the use of tools and appliances, and explore the diverse world of spices and herbs. Incorporated is also the concept of philanthropy, teaching children the value of giving back through their culinary efforts. Coupled with a state-of-the-art facility, Little Kitchen offers an unparalleled experience. It comes highly recommended for any parent looking to introduce their child to the wonders of cooking in a fun, educational setting."

Vina Nguyen: We have had a great experience for my two kids, ages 3 and 5! They always ask to go back!

Victoria Boston: We absolutely LOVE little kitchen academy! My grand babies look forward to going and are really good chefs now as a result!

Tracy Ng: My kids have been going to LKA since they were 3. They love the independence, process, and delicious end result! They have made seriously yummy recipes, from lemon poppy seed pancakes, peach trifle cake, thumbprint chocolate cookies, bombay potatoes...it actually got my son eating foods he would usually not be open to. They are so proud of their achievements and end product. It really fuels their love of learning how to cook. Learning to cook also helps with executive functioning, organization, learning measurements, slowing down, and all sorts of other hidden educational nuggets. We love this place!

T Green: My daughter loves LKA. She started at four years old and, two years later, she still looks forward to her cooking class. We take breaks because we don’t live near Century City. Whenever the break is too long, she will ask “When is my next cooking class?”.She has enjoyed every recipe she has made from pancakes to pasta to chickpea salad. She takes great pride in her culinary work. She is my sous chef at home!

Kelly Otzen: were so excited to receive our LKA knife set. When we opened the box, I was blown away by the quality and meticulous details of the knife set. My kids loved how each knife is clearly labeled with the level on the handle and they were excited to have their very own knife sharpener! I appreciated the QR code on the knife set that when scanned took me to the Knife Safety videos

DS E Assist: The facility is clean and well-maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. My son, despite his waning interest in cooking, had a fantastic experience there. It was heartening to see him engaged and enthusiastic about learning to cook dishes from various cultures. This school not only teaches culinary skills but also fosters an appreciation for diverse cuisines, making it a valuable and enriching experience for young chefs.

jennifer recinos: My daughter enjoyed her experience cooking. The teachers were nice and taught my daughter many things.

Sonya Bowman: My son had such a great time here! He did a week-long camp, three hours a day. I was afraid he would get bored, but he had a great time. More importantly, he learned some great skills and tried foods he would normally refuse at home. Can’t recommend highly enough, a great program and wonderful people.

Sofiia Chufeneva: Amazing experience for a kid! He liked LKA so much!

Chef Eric's Culinary Classroom: what do users think?

Sunusi Ibrahim: I would rate it as highly satisfactory.

Steven Kiss: . Eric is very friendly and staff was nice as well. The shared meal at the end was great.

Alfredo Rodriguez-Allen: My fiancée and I took the knife skills class and we had a blast. The whole experience was fantastic. We learned a lot, we had fun, and we want to go back for more classes. Chef Eric is fantastic, and so is his staff, especially Juana! I highly recommend his Culinary Classroom.

Kristin Dyer: , and I had such a great time learning from him and his staff

Ruslan A: Had the pleasure of attending Chef Eric's Knife Skills class with my girlfriend over the weekend. I've been wanting to "sharpen" my knife skills and learn new tricks in the kitchen, where we like to spend our evenings preparing dinner after a long day of work.Chef Eric Crowley and his team were great, true professionals, very organized, friendly, and a great example of Teamwork.Chef Eric kept the class moving at a great pace, was very informative, had us practice what was taught afterwards, and there was a delicious treat at the end.Great way to disconnect, learn a new skill, AND the cost savings of preparing restaurant style meals at home is a great BONUS.Highly recommend checking out Chef Eric's school and classes!

R S: Simon had so much fun and learned a lot .Definitely recommend chef Eric and culinary lessons !!!!!!!

Nika Fouquet: The best one in West LA.Per my son, he liked it because you get real hands on experience. We've done others and he didn't like that everything was already pre-measured and laid out so all he was doing was assembling 👎🏽In his words "I wasn't learning how to cook" - So glad we found Chef Eric.

Jenny Tom: My now 12-year old son has attended all of Chef Eric's cooking camps, basic series classes and master's classes and has gained so much knowledge and experience to prepare him for a possible future as a chef. He has also had the opportunity to intern at the Culinary Classroom to become familiar with a teaching and working kitchen. Chef Eric has great people skills and teaching skills - I highly recommend his classes!

Sylvia Artalejo: Had a great experience, enjoyed the classes, loved all the recipes. Would recommend these culinary programs to everyone interested in furthering their knowledge of fine cooking & baking, for pure enjoyment or professionally.

Christopher Wolski: The Master Chef program more than lived up to my expectations. I learned more than just recipes--I learned the principles of cooking. As a teacher, Chef Eric is patient, supportive, but also exacting. He runs a tight operation--and you COOK--the certificate you get at the end is something you EARNED through hard work. If you want to learn how to cook, then the Master Chef program is the way to do it. Oh, and I'm planning to take the baking class in the near future--can't wait!

Jason Spann: I highly recommend this program! Chef Eric and his team are very attentive and supportive. They anticipate your questions and needs before you can panic. What a great learning environment, it is. I learned an abundance of skills and had fun doing it. I love that they are ready to provide resources about internships and job opportunities, if that is where you're headed. You won't be disappointed that you signed up for this program.

Amanda Meixner Rocchio: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,ValueChef Eric is extremely professional and packs so much value into one course! I couldn't be happier with the experience. It's well organized and challenging but definitely doable. Currently enrolled in his master chef program and absolutely loving it.

Peter Smith: Chef Eric is a great teacher who takes the time to show, explain and answer all questions making learning very easy.

Maria Gomez: is absolutely highly knowledgeable, experienced, well awarded and respected in the industry- as well as so patience, and kind and so enthusiastic!and his ability to explain so clearly is beyond perfect and enjoyable! From the minute you enter the school you feel so welcoming from the front Door -Desk amazing wife Jennie Co- founder who’s always so helpful in anything you may have questions about, and always kindly goes the extra mile to help! The chef assistant who’s happily share his knowledge and helps to assist the students as well,All of way to the lady who helps maintaining this beautiful school impecable!I’m grateful to them and happy I choose this school.

Lisa Wegner: I first went to this class with my son, and I have been back a few times. The classes were fun and we learned a lot. When first we enter, there is an lecture and demonstration to go over the recipes that we will be making. It's easy to understand and see what the chef is doing as he has a mirror over his workspace. After that we go into the kitchen. The class is small, and we are broken up into groups of two. Each group is given a recipe. As we work on our recipes, we are able to view the work other groups are doing and get involved with them if there is any down time. We also get all of the recipes to try again at home. At the end, we all get together and eat what we have made. We also have plenty to take home. It's an easygoing and fun experience. Thank you Chef Eric.

Miriam Wilson: Took the basic knife skills class and really enjoyed the experience. I cook a lot at home and love it but never learned any techniques so I’m pretty slow. The tips Chef Eric taught were very useful to me and will speed up my cooking. He also taught us how to care for and sharpen knives which is what I really needed since all mine are dull.We then got hands on cooking experience cutting vegetables, deboning chicken and more. Everyone in class was very friendly including the staff and Chef Eric. I found it to be a warm, inviting environment full of people who love to cook. The kitchen was very clean and the meal cooked for the end of class using our prep ingredients was absolutely delicious. I’ll be back to take more classes soon!

The place has such a warm, homey vibe and all of the people who work there are so nice and supportive, especially Chef Mani. The classes they run for kids teach them practical cooking skills and encourage them to be creative. The adult classes are fun and the food we make is delicious. Everything is clean and beautiful!

Erich Arabejo: Awesome meatball sandwich!!!

Jacqueline Woll: The Coffee shop is never ready when I get there so have yet to try any sandwiches but did go in there for the Blue Nova ice cream parlor I'm the evening! Although they do have a lot of salads they are expertly done and has a real touch of class about it. The staff are all very freindly and an absolute joy to see. Eatz: what do users think?

Luke Moore: I recently attended the Pasta Making class, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The class was perfect for beginners, as Chefs Cori and Deb provided thorough instructions on basic knife skills and kitchen etiquette, making the culinary process both accessible and enjoyable. They expertly guided us through the art of making pasta dough from scratch, and we had the pleasure of learning how to craft two types of pasta: ravioli and linguine. The atmosphere of the class was both lively and engaging, complemented by music and wine, which created a welcoming environment for everyone present. The mix of attendees was wonderful, including couples, groups of friends, and solo food enthusiasts, all united by a love of food. What made the class stand out was the chefs' approachable teaching style and their ability to make complex cooking techniques seem easy. Whether you're just starting your culinary journey or looking to refine your pasta-making skills, this class offers a unique and enriching experience that I highly recommend!

Max B: Chef Cori was great and I had an outstanding time with my girlfriend here. I can't say that my gnocchi turned out restaurant-quality, but that was mostly attributable to user error.Cannot recommend it here enough! Tons of fun and learned a lot.

Monica Sweet: The meal was delicious and it was a fun, social class. I would definitely go to another Eatz LA class.

Bianca Liebhaber: Our group had a great time at our private class cooking the "Night in Florence" menu with Chef Cori. The class was well organized, the chef was great, the cooking was manageable and also so much fun, and the food was delicious!

Kennis Lo: my daughter purchased the cooking class as a Christmas gift for her grandma. they both enjoy it so so much..... she said it was just a lot of fun, not just cooking. only bummer, she is not 21 yet and couldn't enjoy the wine with the rest. but she danced thru the whole cooking lesson. can't wait to return.

Lindsey Simovich: We’ve been to three EATZ cooking classes with friends over the years and will no doubt return again! Niki and her team are wonderful. We always learn so much, eat delicious food and enjoy a fun time with friends.

Emily Brown: . We had a great time and learned new skills. The food we amazing and the team took those recipes for home use! Everyone I interacted with from the booking process to the actual event were helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend this activity.

Annie Kee: Our organization had a wonderful evening at Eatz LA under the guidance of Chefs Cori and Bubba! Our team of 11 gathered in their beautiful space, laughed, chatted, drank, and cooked. It was a super special evening and the knowledgable, kind, and fun chefs were the best part. Thank you!

Amber: Want to take another class with Chef Cori... the energy from Cori is amazing and infectious!! What a treasure!!

Pedro Wecchi: I’ve had an amazing experience at Eatz. Chef Deb and Chef Cori are amazing human beings. The whole class was very well designed, ingredients are fresh, the place is so cool and it’s so much fun I thought I couldn’t experience that as adult anymore. Defined worth it.The paella was easy to make and it felt like cooking at home. Thanks again Eatz

Sarah Mueller: My partner and I went to one night in Bangkok and the food was so yummy. Directions were clear and our chef/teacher niki was great! We will definitely be back for another class or two!

This was my first time flambé-ing anything and it was a ton of fun! We took the whiskey a gogo class and all of the food was delicious. We made friends and brought food home with us. It was a wonderful experience!

Foodstory: what do users think?

Olivia Cummings: My husband and I love japenese food and have always wanted to learn how to make sushi. Yoko was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable and taught us unique yet classic sushi recipes. This feels like you are hanging out in someone’s kitchen and I highly recommend!

Viviana Pendrill: It was fun and delicious, we cooked a great selection of pub dishes and we learnt a lot about the ingredients and little shortcuts on how to used them. I will take more classes!

Thomas Kotcheff: My wife and I had the best time taking the Sushi Making Class. It was informative, hands on, and delicious! We learned how to cut sushi/sashimi, make tamago, cook shrimp, and then make 4 different styles of sushi rolls. Highly recommend for any inquisitive and adventurous person! Our class had 6 people sign up for it and then 2 didn’t show up. So it was very intimate. The classes fill up very fast so book as far in advance as possible.

Jennifer Grappone: We did a fish market tour and Japanese cooking class and we loved it. I cleaned a fish for the first time in my life! Yoko is extremely knowledgeable about Japanese cuisine, and my goodness she has amazing knife skills. She and her staff were friendly, helpful, and patient, and they made it a fun time and a great learning experience.

Liz Melton: SO amazing! I bought the fish market tour and cooking class as a gift for my husband and it did not disappoint. The tour itself was really interesting - I can't believe the variety of fish they import from Japan and Korea - and Yoko did an incredible job explaining how she works her magic in the kitchen. Highly, highly recommend!

H. Will Mak: This is the best cooking class for homestyle Japanese cooking. We started out with an intimate tour of two Japanese markets in Little Tokyo to learn about the key vegetable ingredients and shoyu sauces. My highlights were learning how to make an amazing vegetable garnish on tofu and dried daikon radish salad. The beef sukiyaki, okonomiyaki, dumplings, and chicken onion dish were out-of-this-world. Thank you Yoko and Carol for the amazing experience for my family.

Andre Mendes: Excellent class. The chef and the host took the time to answer all the questions asked and were able to give individual attention at the parts people were struggling at. Will definitely come back to take other classes

Ramiro Soto: I highly recommend taking this class. Mrs Yoko was so nice , she explains everything and welcomes your questions. Class was fun and the Ramen came out delicious!

Jennifer Dallego: highly recommend!!

Alan Castro: and garnishes. I will definitely take her other classes

The Gourmandise School: what do users think?

Jackie Jefferson: I have attended numerous cooking classes in person and virtually. By far, The Gourmandise School of Cooking is part of my top 5. Pre-pandemic, one of their scheduled classes was "Walking with the Chef". We would literally walk with chef to the Farmers Market to purchase product, spices and any other items they would need to prepare their dish. In class, everyone participated. It was the high light of my experience attending the school.

michael walsh: Super fun place with really great instructors.and staff

Alicia K.: Great team activity - everyone walks away with a full stomach and a ton of cooking knowledge! Because of all the prep work Gourmandise team does, your group has time to learn from the Chef, converse together, and leisurely eat a homemade meal.

Ryan Winn: Amazing classes and great selection of teachers! Can't recommend more of you want a fun and educational cooking class

Doerte Sennecke-Chow: It left a great first impression. We are keen on experiencing this beautiful space as a venue for events or a cooking class. To be continued.

Ceraun Loggins: Took a Thai cooking class and it was really fun, Chef Laura was very knowledgeable and an amazing teacher!

Andrew Behla: The Gourmandise School is hands down the best cooking class I ever attended. My wife and I took the Izakaya class where we learned how to make classic dishes served in Japanese pubs. Our instructor, May, was incredible in sharing the history of the food and how certain dishes have distinct flavors based on the ingredients and the way they are prepared. We made five dishes at our cooking stations. The sixth was a Matcha Ginger Shortbread which was the dessert. May talked us through the preparation for the cookies in class and had the kitchen staff baked the cookies while we focused on our five dishes. The overall setup of the class and preparation were well thought out and very thorough, making it easy for us to focus on cooking the dishes during the class. The staff and support team were phenomenal in making sure we had everything we needed to make the dishes. They even gave us tofu for our Shrimp and Garlic Chive Gyoza recipe to make them vegetarian friendly. We ended the class with a feast. All of the dishes were so flavorful and authentic. One thing to note is you can bring your own wine if you wish. The Curious Palate is a restaurant/bar next door that sells bottles of wine for 50% off to students. Kudos to the Gourmandise School for creating such a unique and memorable experience. I'd recommend their classes to anyone interested in learning new recipes, meet interesting people and have fun doing it! I'm looking forward to attending future classes.

Emma Cortes: I love their classes, lots of knowledge, and information! ☺️

Jeremy Moore: I had the pleasure of joining the Sourdough 101 class today with instructor Clemence Gosset. It was absolutely one of the most fun experiences I've had in LA. The space was lovely with a great little shop in the front, tailor made to excite the culinarian in each of us. Clemence was a funny and hugely knowledgeable instructor, bouncing from proper stretch-and-fold technique to the history of Red Fife wheat with grace. Had a great time and will absolutely bring the missus for a date night class. Would highly recommend.

Devyn Kadosh: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAmazing class! I took this and learned so much, so excited to go back.

emma morken: Yum!!!!! I have taken several classes here and am always amazed at the stuff that comes out of my kitchen. The staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful and the chefs go above and beyond in sharing tips and tricks to making delicious food. Would recommend to anyone looking to expand on their cooking knowledge and make some delicious food in the process.

Jane Hernandez: My friend organized a cooking class to have Chef Jordan teach us how to prepare a 3-course meal for her birthday. We had a group of 12. I think it's safe to say everyone walked away well fed with some newly learned cooking skills.

Paul Schembri: When else in life do you get to make the same recipe with five different flours to compare flavor and texture? Amazing classes and amazing people
