Candice Dusset: is a master colorist who truly makes magic happen! I appreciate her in-depth consultation, attention to detail, expertise, and empathy for those who have experienced hair trauma. I was hesitant to lighten my hair, but my curls feel super soft, hydrated, and very loved. My bright, customized color is better than I ever imagined! Val R: for curls, and especially tighter textures! If you went to a salon with damaged curls from heat styling, many stylists would immediately say you need a big chop—even if you’d rather cut little by little. Harmoni is the type of stylist who listens to your wants and needs, and she’s patient and caring enough to see how curly your hair might be after a detox and hydration. Sometimes there’s more length that can be salvaged than expected, and Harmoni is the type of stylist who will find out before she cuts. She’s also extremely knowledgeable, and takes the time to educate you so you can successfully care for your curls at home.
Marisa Chata: My experience at the Capella Salon with the stylist Valerie was absolutely amazing. I noticed she was the right person to see after seeing all the different people she's helped on her IG @valcutcolor. I've had curly hair my whole life, but I never truly knew how to care for it. She evaluated my hair and explained to me where most of the damage is and how I can take better care of it moving forward. I'm not the kind of girl that likes to spend much time doing my hair or styling it and I felt she really listened to me and allowed me to collaborate on a routine that is realistic for my lifestyle. The new and improved hairstyle she gave me has literally changed my life. I'm cute but I've never received as much attention as I do now because of my hair!!! Chiquita Johnson: I’m an LA transplant from the South who’s been hunting for a salon that’ll give me a comfortable no muss no fuss Black Experience in the city for awhile now. Rehab Salon has given me a place to call home. Their prices are very affordable, their scheduling doesn’t make you jump through hoops or have any crazy rules, and they have great work ethic. There are many good Black salons here but this Salon is my holy grail for rejuvenating my soul and confidence.My first experience I was unsure how to perceive them. The front door is an ethereal gate. Once you step in it feels like you’re being transported to a mystical back room with fabrics, trinkets and oils welcoming you in this secret hideaway. It smells good and it sounds good. No weirdo solicitors, no street sounds, just good music, smells of incense, and a skylight to shine the sun on you. It’s truly a vibe.For 2024 I’ve been on my healthy hair journey with Shun. I’m a short natural 4B/4C fine hair. I don’t know how to take care of it. It’s bad. Shun cut my split ends and shaped my hair with ease and didn’t get scissor happy in the slightest. Afterwards she silk pressed my hair and was sure to use a good heat protector and gave me advice for at home. It held for several weeks and when I washed out the press I was happy to see no heat damage at all and my curls reverted back to its natural curl pattern. Thank you, Shun!!Meanwhile, everyone including clients is having a good time casually chatting up on Black pop culture. My hair feels healthier and it feels like I have many options in the future with their other stylist concerning color, extensions, braids or locs. They were doing men’s hair too! Line ups and retwists.Street parking meters and assigned lot parking right across the street is currently at $10 cash or card.

Alexis was very friendly and supportive of the changes I was looking to make, and I felt very comfortable right away with her as a stylist.We first reviewed the Instagram bookmarks I'd made and she asked what I liked about each one; we discussed my existing haircare routines and what was and wasn't working for me. Typically cut my own hair with clippers, or go to whichever barbershop is free nearby. Thairapy was an absolutely wonderful experience from stat to finish. No hyperbole when I state; best haircut I’ve ever had. My sister gifted a cut for me after years of attempting to convince me to get a proper curly cut from a curly hair specialist. My appointment was with Analisa, who I very highly recommend. I explained to her it was my first proper curly haircut, as well as my lifestyle and minimalist approach to grooming, and she talked me through everything with charm, patience, and a wealth of knowledge. I showed her a few images for inspo, we chatted about them for a few minutes and she was off. Some scissors and a lovely shampooing later, and the results were exceptional, better than what I had envisioned. Sheila Palmer: Leaving a review for Rachel Drallos! She did my blonde "baby lights" in August of 2023 and I am *still* getting regular compliments on her work in April of 2024!When I came into the salon, I wasn't sure what I wanted. I gave her a few different descriptions of options, and she synthesized what we discussed into a style that worked for me and would be low maintenance/cause the least amount of damage to my hair. I have 3C curls, and she was able to give me really even and beautiful blonde baby lights, as well as blowout my hair, without any damage.

Randi Jackson: Today I took a chance on Rock Paper Salon sight unseen after doing a bunch of googling that led me to guessing/hoping it would be a good fit for the type of cut I was looking for. I AM SO GLAD I DID. Marissa took me seriously, heard and understood exactly what I was hoping for, and gave me the pixie cut of my actual dreams. As of today I am a die hard fan of this salon and of Marissa and will absolutely be back. 1000/10.
