Live Arts Los Angeles (LALA) is L.A.’s home for dance, pilates, rehearsal space, and live performance. Co-owners Karen Quick and Jennifer Vaughn transformed a warehouse space in northeast Los Angeles into a spacious and inviting dance and performance space.

The Sweat Spot is an inviting / non-judgemental and supportive environment that challenges you to be yourself. If you don’t have a garbage heart, Sweat Spot is your place.

I love this place so much. I can’t believe I’m a grown ass woman learning to dance for the first time in my life. It’s so liberating and no one is judgey. The sweat spot is pure joy. Never had a bad teacher or experience.

The Sweat Spot was Ryan Heffington’s warm and welcoming dance studio in the heart of Silverlake. It was a 2200 square foot space and a hub of the east side arts community. The classes included ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, hip hop, dance fitness, Gaga, Pilates and a variety of emerging dance styles and fitness classes specific to the 18 amazing teachers and choreographers who called The Sweat Spot their home for 10 years.

There is 1-hour metered parking on Hollywood Blvd. You can find non-metered parking on Wilton and Gramercy north of Hollywood Blvd or on Carlton Way behind the school, south of Hollywood Blvd.
