Jenn L: My cats have been seeing Dr Quezada for their whole lives and I can't say enough about how great the staff and doctors are. They have been especially understanding with one of my cats who has difficulty going to the vet, or anywhere for that matter.I know that during COVID it was harder to find availability, which was the same everywhere. However, I could always feel like they were trying to help as much as they could, even when spread so thin.

JC35: They have been terrific in treating both my dogs many times over the years through multiple surgeries and various health issues. Dr. Schulman is terrific and really goes out of his way to both play with my dogs to gain their trust, and explain to me their health issues in ways I can understand. They are very professional about sharing cost estimates in advance and ensuring those estimates are not exceeded. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Kimberly Estrada: My favorite vet! I’ve been bringing my dogs to this office for 10 years and they will always be my go-to. Originally I was referred by a friend who runs a dog rescue after my dog was injured and suffered rear-leg paralysis. Although he wasn’t in pain, the first neurologist at another office said right away that I should put my dog down without offering any options for handling his injury. When Dr. Schulman met my dog he sat on the floor with him and explained all our options with such empathy and compassion unlike the first vet. Their office has wonderful vet techs and other great vets as well. When my special needs pup passed, their office sent me a very sweet sympathy card signed by the techs and vets that had always given him such loving care. I cannot recommend them enough.
L L: I want to thank Dr. Schulman for always the fantastic service and ALWAYS being there for my dog "Sofie." He has done so much for her, to keep her healthy and active. I have been going to Dr. Schulman for over 25 years with all my pets in the past. I recommend everyone I know to him. Office staff is very helpful and has ALWAYS given me a detailed written estimate.
Ger McManus: They don't make them like Dr. Schulman anymore, truly. My dog has required two ACL surgeries, one on each rear leg over the course of the last 3 years, as well as other visits that were required and each and every time Dr. Schulman has gone above and beyond for both my dog and me. He truly loves what he does and loves his pet patients. Both ACL surgeries were successful, my dog has now two stronger legs back there then before! I've used other veterinary hospitals through the years but never got service like that from Dr. Schulman. Thank you for all you do for Diego and I!

Jacqueline Swett: The surgery team at VCA West LA is fantastic. Persimmon was referred to Dr. Mueller by another vet, and we are SO lucky to have been in her care. She’s clearly at the top of her field, and we’re so grateful to have benefited from her wealth of experience. We were there for several days of bandage changes, and it’s clear that we got lucky we live so close. People were coming from hours away to see the vets here. They are more expensive because they’re worth it. This place feels like a human hospital with the level of professionalism and facilities they have available. If you’re looking for the best, this is it!
Alexander Nemirovsky: and took my dog to multiple veterinary offices. All of them misdiagnosed the condition. They didn’t even know what I was talking about. I was confident that my diagnosis was correct, so I called almost every major animal care facility in Los Angeles. Every single one refused to see my dog. ONLY West LA hospital agreed to meet with me, see the dog and discuss the treatment plan. When we came for the first visit, I was amazed. Everything, starting from the front desk was superbly organized. We met with two doctors who later operated on the dog, the whole team that was taking care of the dog pre- and post-operatively, we did a lot of diagnostic tests including MRI. The cardiology services are NOT more expensive compared with other locations, but the services and staffs' professionalism meet or exceed expectations.

Medical staff can observe your pet's behavior to the best of their expertise before asking the pet's owner/co-owners what's going on.After medical staff examined my dog, the doctor called me from the lobby into an exam room to get my take on the situation and decide best treatment. Gia Nevel: I brought my dog in for after-hours emergency care after she dislocated her hip. Everyone working there, front desk staff, vet techs and the vet was so kind. They took great care of my baby and I can tell they really care. I was anxious about the process and I felt like they communicated very well every step of the way. The facility was also very clean.
Ren Montero: and that if we admitted him, if he couldn't hold food down they wouldn't release him again until he could, even though they wouldn't be able to give him the scan he needed. We left, scared but unwilling to do that. The place was horrible too. We ended up at WLA VCA. Dr Sujata was fantastic, thorough, and specific about her concerns. We didn't admit our cat but took him home for a few hours as he was stable and it was less stressful for him but we were able to bring him back the next day for the needed ultrasound. The next day, Dr Martin was equally as thorough and specific. We were there for an emergency. In the same way when you go to a human ER there might be long waits as more critical patients come in and out and did take all day. I believe in prioritizing necessity. It wasn't cheap, however, the two terrible places we went to were as expensive. We are lucky enough to have credit cards and pet insurance so we had options but Dr. Sujata was very clear as to why she felt he was stable enough to go home even though admitting him was an option for a possible earlier ultrasound the next day. By not just admitting him because, she could have, she saved us $3000. We couldn't be happier with the patient care and the patient parent care we received from the staff here. Just a side note, as my husband is over 62, he got a 10% discount on the cost of emergency treatment. Would recommend this place for emergencies. If you can afford it, ASPCA pet insurance is great and will be reimbursing 90% of this event, which in total cost about $2100 but could easily have been $5000 or more.
Daisy S: From my dog’s life threatening emergency to hives to “something’s wrong, he’s acting weird” these vets are THE BEST. They are careful, attentive, animal-loving and also great with us humans. Unlike some urgent care or emergency vet hospitals, I never feel like they’re trying to “upsell” me on meds or shots or interventions that are not absolutely essential.I continue to be INCREDIBLY impressed with the care we receive at VCA West LA. Thank you always!!

I don’t know if they are cheap or expensive because to me price doesn’t matter when it comes to Zoë, my canine best friend.Dr. Doran has done an incredible job with Zoë and I am thankful to her and highly recommend her for and spine issues with your doggie.
Vicki Daly Redholtz: My dog had a spinal stroke, and was left unable to walk. With the great care from Dr Caitlin Doran, and her suggestions for his pt and home health care, in just 3 weeks, he's able to walk. He still has away to go, but her love and care come through - I also had a great experience with Dr Chandrakumar in Internal medicine - a few months ago, my other dog was unable to breathe, and their emergency room saved her life. DEANA BASS: I was in the hospital for 1 week for brain 🧠 testing. The nurses were very nice and even came to me to see if I needed anything. I was on camera 24 hours a day. I had a lot of fun with the dog that came and visited me, the dog gave a hard time when it was time to go.
